Alongside her stellar music career, including her early years as the lead singer of the band No Doubt, Stefani has been a judge on the singing competition television show The Voice, since 2014. The Voice is currently in its 19th season, where a recent sneak peek of one of the upcoming shows saw the singer in the stunning Zuhair Murad creation. Later, the 51-year-old, who recently announced her engagement to country music star Blake Shelton, showcased the complete look on social media, in a post which saw her in the heavily embellished bodysuit, decorated with multi-colored Egyptian motif jewels, featuring gold fringe details on the sleeve. A lover of bold and unapologetic style, Stefani completed the look with gem-encrusted denim shorts which she wore over fishnet tights and indigo-colored, suede knee-high boots.
The bodysuit was part of Murad’s Spring/Summer 2020 couture collection, which was inspired by the ancient tropes of Egypt. “I decided to go back in history, especially in this place and time, because the pharaohs were so mysterious,” Murad told Vogue of the collection. “There’s a richness of life and fashion, but women were powerful too, maybe even more powerful than men. The mix of power and beauty sums up the Zuhair Murad woman. She likes to seduce.”

Murad’s designs are well-loved by some of the best regional and Hollywood talents. A favorite among the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Egyptian superstar Yousra, Murad has established himself as one of the most iconic Arab designers of his generation. Many of his extraordinary creations have been documented in a luxury Assouline coffee table book, named after the famed designer himself.
