The romantic city of Rome played host to the most dazzling society wedding of 2022 when Lady Kitty Spencer married billionaire beau Michael Lewis in a spectacular multi-day celebration that made headlines around the world. Friends Sabrina Elba, Pixie Lott and Jade Holland Cooper joined family including the bride’s sisters Lady Eliza and Lady Amelia Spencer to watch the glamorous couple exchange vows in the breathtaking setting of Villa Aldobrandini in Rome.
The bride walked down the aisle accompanied by her two brothers, Viscount Althorp and Samuel Aitken (her half-brother from her mother’s side). In terms of Kitty’s cousins, Prince William and Prince Harry were absent, but Laura Pettman, the daughter of Kitty’s aunt Lady Jane Fellowes, was spotted chatting to Lady Kitty’s step-sister Lady Lara Spencer (the daughter of her father and his second wife, Caroline Freud).
As a global ambassador for Italian luxury powerhouse Dolce & Gabbana, Lady Kitty Spencer enlisted haute couture help from the decadent design duo to create her wedding gown, on top of four specially designed dresses to see her through the breathtakingly gorgeous event. Clooney’s floor-length dress is adorned with a subtle strip of lace and dainty ruffles just under the bust—a motif that repeats at her hips and knees, drawing the eye to her gown’s thigh-high slit that showed off a pair of classic tan peep-toes.
