The phrase “cult item” gets thrown around a lot, however, when the same piece has been worn by It-girls, supermodels, and royalty, it certainly seems worthy of the accolade. It was back in September that Bella Hadid walked in the Victoria Beckham spring/summer 2023 show wearing a lime-green midi, and the dress is fast becoming a familiar sight in celebrity circles this summer, popping up everywhere from the Coronation to Wimbledon.

Victoria Beckham is always the best ambassador for her own brand, and so naturally was the first to wear the standout green midi-dress off the runway, pairing it with black leather boots for a date with husband David in New York in October. Just three months later, Kendall Jenner wore the midi for a party at Nobu in Dubai, styling it exactly as her friend Bella wore it on the runway, with black leather opera gloves, her hair slicked back and pointed black leather boots by The Row.

By May the dress was back in front of the flashbulbs once again, this time on Queen Letizia of Spain, who attended celebrations to mark the Coronation of King Charles III in a series of boldly colourful looks. She wore the Victoria Beckham dress for a reception at Buckingham Palace on the eve of the ceremony itself. Wearing a London-based designer was, of course, a diplomatic choice from Letizia, who made the look her own by adding a diamond brooch in a delicate bow shape onto the left shoulder, as well as the shoe of choice for female royalty: a classic suede pump.
The dress’s latest high-profile outing came at Wimbledon this week, where Romeo Beckham’s model girlfriend Mia Regan showed her support for his mum’s brand by wearing the hero piece – a perfect choice for a day of tennis and Pimm’s at SW19. (Ever the dutiful VB ambassador, Mia added one of the Chain Pouch handbags, too.)

The dress was unquestionably the hero style of the spring/summer 2023 season for VB. The show opened with a lavender version, supermodel Bella walked in the increasingly popular green iteration, and Beckham took her final bow at the end of the show wearing the same dress, but in black.
“There are a lot of dresses in the collection, which I’m really excited about,” Beckham said to Vogue at the time. “Things feel perfectly complicated. It’s a lot of craft, but it looks very effortless. There’s an ease with the collection, but you can see that there’s a lot of work.” She explained that it’s the simplicity of the shape that makes the dress so elegant: “We’re not burying ourselves under lots of layers. I think it’s a neater silhouette.”

Given the dress is from a spring/summer collection, it’s a style perfectly geared towards al fresco events and wedding season, however the shade of green is a seasonless color that looks just as good with boots as it does with sandals – as Kendall proved at the start of the year.

Victoria Beckham has a huge collection of designer accessories – not to mention her own successful line of luxury leather goods under her eponymous brand – but the Hermès Birkin is by far her favorite bag. Her obsession can be traced back to 2004 (the year she invested in a tan version of the house’s cult tote), and she’s been acquiring different colorways and finishes ever since. Just five years later, in 2009, The Guardian estimated she had around 100 Birkins, and it’s highly likely that number has risen since.
The Birkin may be on the “ludicrously capacious” side in terms of its dimensions, but the bag will always be a status symbol. And testament to its practicality, VB has carried hers at restaurants, airports and department stores over the years.
Her Birkins also popped up at pivotal moments throughout her husband’s football career: she famously watched from the stands at the 2006 World Cup with a white Birkin in tow. The following year, she attended the press conference for his introduction to the LA Galaxy team wearing Barbie pink, complete with a poppy pink ostrich Birkin.
Here, Vogue looks back at the former Spice Girl’s longstanding infatuation with Hermès Birkin bags.

Victoria Beckham Nails Valentine’s Day Dressing Ahead Of Time

Valentine’s Day is on the horizon, and Victoria Beckham’s most recent look is romantic enough to inspire your own date-night outfit if you’re planning to spend February 14 with a special someone.
In her most recent Instagram post, the 48-year-old designer and beauty entrepreneur showcased an ensemble tailor-made for a romantic date night. Victoria’s baby-pink crepe de chine asymmetrical slip dress is taken from her namesake brand’s spring/summer 2023 collection. By keeping her make-up fresh and dewy, and her hair slicked back into a classic bun, Beckham ensured that the head-turning dress was the main focus of the outfit.

Wearing pink on Valentine’s Day might be a little too literal for some, but VB has never been afraid to have fun with color – especially lately. The woman who was famous for her LBDs in her early days in the spotlight recently paired a slinky powder-blue dress with crystal-embellished boots, and she’s nothing if not bold when it comes to color blocking.

Victoria Beckham Brand Sales Climb, and Losses Shrink, in Fiscal 2021

Victoria Beckham Brand Sales Climb, and Losses Shrink, in Fiscal 2021

LONDON – Revenues are climbing, and losses are shrinking, at Victoria Beckham Holding Limited, according to 2021 filings set to be published on Companies House, the official register of U.K. businesses.
In the year ended Dec. 31, 2021, Victoria Beckham Holding Limited, which is owned by Beckham, her husband David, and the private equity investor NEO, saw revenues jump by 13 percent to 40.9 million pounds.

EBITDA losses more than halved to 2 million pounds compared with the previous year, while operating losses fell to 3.9 million pounds from 6.8 million pounds.

The company attributed the 2021 performance to its decision to consolidate and reposition the fashion collection, and to “accelerated growth” in the beauty business.

The filing did not break out beauty sales, but noted the business expanded its footprint by opening a U.K. warehouse and striking a deal with Bergdorf Goodman in fall 2021. The beauty website added Australian and Canadian storefronts, further growing the business in those top-performing markets.

The company added that fiscal 2022 is set to be an even stronger year, forecasting double-digit sales growth driven by geographic expansion, the launch of leather goods, new products in beauty, and a strong spring 2023 show in Paris.

Chief executive officer Marie Leblanc said that 2021 “saw the successful turnaround of Victoria Beckham Limited. We have entered a new chapter for the business, and our energy is focused on accelerating growth and taking the brand to its full potential. With the successful launch of leather goods in 2022, and the continuous acceleration of sales growth in beauty, we have high expectations.”

Leblanc added that over the past few years the business “has had its challenges. We had to rethink our brand value proposition and make important changes, like merging the two brands (Victoria Beckham and the secondary line VVB) into one. We have created a distinctive position in the market with signature design that reflects Victoria’s lifestyle, and are at the entry price of luxury.”

She said that the business is now ready to fulfill its potential with “the reiterated support of our shareholders and our chairman Ralph Toledano. I believe we can reach new heights,” Leblanc said.

The Companies House report said shareholders see great potential in the business, and will continue to fund its growth.

In 2021, despite closures due to lockdown, all three Victoria Beckham channels – wholesale, online and store – performed well, both in fashion and beauty. During the period it also reorganized its end-to-end processes, stretching from sourcing and manufacturing to the end consumer.

A separate filing on Companies House showed that Beckham Brand Holdings Limited, the holding company that pays dividends to its shareholders Victoria and David Beckham, also had a strong year in 2021.

Beckham Brand Holdings comprises the management and licensing of the David Beckham business and brand; investment in the Victoria Beckham global fashion and beauty brand; and ownership participation in the Major League Soccer club, Inter Miami CF.

The holding company reported that 2021 revenues tripled to 34.3 million pounds from 11.4 million pounds, while profits after tax rose 65 percent to 19.1 million pounds, due entirely to David Beckham’s commercial and sponsorship ventures.

The group paid 6.3 million pounds in dividends to the couple, while a further 1.8 million pounds in dividends were paid post year-end.

In a further Companies House filing, David Beckham Ventures Limited, which comprises Beckham’s commercial and sponsorship ventures, boosted revenue to 34 million in 2021, up from 11.4 million in 2020. Net profits increased to 19.6 million pounds from 10.6 million pounds in 2020.

The company and its subsidiary, Seven Global LLP, secured further new contracts in the period, and widened its portfolio of product categories. It now includes sports, media and entertainment, automobile, fragrance, eyewear, luxury brands and financial services.

In 2020, Beckham signed three new brand contracts with Maserati, EA Sports and GEM forex, adding to his long-term roster of Adidas, Tudor, Sands, Diageo (Haig Club whiskey) and Panini, among others.

Alongside this brand partnership activity, Beckham continues to build and support Inter Miami CF.

The company said Beckham’s commercial and licensing business and its associated brand marketing activities have proven to be successful in generating long-term revenue streams.

Beckham’s online presence is one of the largest in the world, with 138 million followers and 9 billion annual impressions across Instagram, Facebook and China-specific channels Weibo and Douyin.

In the U.K., he is among the most followed and engaged individuals on social media, while his profile on Chinese platform Douyin has the highest engagement of any international account.

Following the launch of his strategic partnership with Authentic Brands Group in February 2022, the company said it is “well-positioned to develop the brand and licensing business further throughout 2023.”

The company said that ABG’s support will help to unlock further growth through a number of avenues including strategic endorsements, innovative business models, digital and media partnerships and new consumer products.

Victoria Beckham Paired Her Blue Body-Hugging Dress With Statement Sparkling Boots

Today, Victoria Beckham looked like a city-fied Cinderella. And while Beckham certainly was retro-regal in a body-skimming blue dress that cut across the chest with a dramatic scarf blowing at her side, there was no tiara in sight. Though Beckham did wear a modern version of the princess’s glass slippers. The designer opted for a pair of tight, sparkling mesh stiletto boots that were see-through enough to show some toe.
Beckham has long experimented with her footwear. She’s been known to wear a pair of peep-toe, knee-high boots (a perfect solution to showing off a cold-weather pedicure). For fall 2021, Beckham had glimmering kicks on the brain and released sparkling knee-high boots.
This pair, however, gives the daytime ensemble some megawatt appeal. Of course, Beckham’s very own glass slipper doesn’t skimp on the shine.

Denzilpatrick: A Sustainable, Multicultural London Brand With Heart

Denzilpatrick: A Sustainable, Multicultural London Brand With Heart

LONDON — The London-based fashion designer Daniel Gayle is stepping out of fashion’s backstage, and into the spotlight, putting a focus on sustainability. His label, Denzilpatrick, is based in Peckham, south London, and turns out two collections per year. He works exclusively with deadstock fabrics, vintage garments and recycled materials such as leather, polyester and lace. He uses a company in Dartford, also in south London, that takes industrial waste leather and turns it into a pulp that can be purchased in sheets, meaning that it’s 96 percent recycled.
He admits that producing low volumes has meant that his price range sits higher than the brands on the high street, but that hasn’t affected orders, as the cashmere has sold out.

“For spring we pushed the idea to have a bit more fun with it by making cashmere briefs and they sold out, a store in Ibiza took an order,” said Gayle, who started his career on the cutting-room floors of Jonathan Saunders, Victoria Beckham, Phillip Lim, Kenzo under Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, and Felipe Oliveira Baptista.

Accessories is a smaller section of the brand that Gayle hopes to keep consistent while ready-to-wear grows. For jewelry, he has found a small community in Peru and Ecuador that carve tagua nuts and dip-dye them.

The business has been growing so quickly that, starting with the fall 2022 collection, Gayle will be stretching beyond his direct-to-consumer model and taking on his first stockist, which he declined to name as the deal isn’t done yet.
Previously, he sold directly via the Denzilpatrick site.
In an interview, he said he had always wanted to launch his own brand, “but I always had imposter syndrome. I just didn’t think these things were really there for my taking, having grown up in a regular working-class family,” said Gayle, who trained as a ballet dancer at the Urdang Academy in Covent Garden.
He named his label after his immigrant grandfathers, Denzil and Patrick, who moved to London from Jamaica and Ireland, respectively, because he didn’t want the narrative to be all about him.
“I wanted it to be slightly disconnected from me so that everyone could see there was a story beyond me, and it was about the clashing of these two cultures,” he said.

In the early stages of brainstorming what his brand could be, he started with questioning the fashion system’s way of working, and thought through how he wanted to focus on sustainability, reducing waste and sourcing smartly. At the same time, he wanted “a level of fantasy. I was once a queer 13-year-old, and I tap into all those feelings that are still present in me today.”
Gayle is adamant about producing just two collections per year, and does so with help from his art director husband, James Bosley, whom he met at a printing studio in Brixton while working with Jonathan Saunders.
He said his designs are about finding the missing puzzle pieces in a man’s wardrobe and his end goal is to create a Denzilpatrick uniform.
“It’s about the focus and the edit. There are things that we’re constantly developing that we started in the first season which we’ve only gotten right by the third season,” he said, adding that getting tailoring right has been a highlight for him.

Even though Gayle’s heart — and business — are in London, he has presented his last two collections in Paris, and will continue to show in France, which he believes is still the best platform to promote his brand.

23 Years of Marriage and… 15 Engagement Rings? Inside Victoria Beckham’s Incredible Jewelry Collection

23 Years of Marriage and… 15 Engagement Rings? Inside Victoria Beckham’s Incredible Jewelry Collection

Photo: Getty
Victoria Beckham is celebrating 23 years of marriage to husband David Beckham – and rumor has it she has some 15 engagement rings to show for it. When the England footballer proposed to his Spice Girl other half in 1998, he did it with a marquise cut diamond set on a yellow gold band. But according to celebrity jewelry lore, VB has been acquiring added extras ever since.
Shortly after the couple’s star-studded wedding in Ireland on 4 July 1999, Victoria switched to a platinum eternity ring on the fourth finger of her left hand, and – while that marquise cut stone undoubtedly remains the most precious piece in her collection – the fashion mogul has been snapped wearing different diamond, ruby, emerald and sapphire stones in the years since.
As Mr and Mrs Beckham celebrate their anniversary, take a closer look at some of Victoria’s dazzling rings below.

13 Times Victoria Beckham Proved That Color-Blocked Outfits Are Always a Good Idea

Victoria Beckham once rarely wore anything but black. During her Spice Girls era, she lived up to her Posh persona with slinky LBDs, accessorized with her signature fierce pout. Nowadays, VB is a master of color-blocking, and regularly pulls off daring outfits that combine multiple striking tones.
The popstar-turned-designer’s most joyous pieces are always plucked from her own collections. Take her red vinyl party pants and purple top at Saint Laurent’s autumn/winter 2022 show, for example.
Below, let Victoria Beckham teach you how to wear the most cheerful Pantone pairings.

Best Fashion Instagrams of the Week: Victoria Beckham, Rami Kadi, and Serena Williams

Best Fashion Instagrams of the Week: Victoria Beckham, Rami Kadi, and Serena Williams

Photo: Instagram.com/victoriabeckham
Ramadan brings with it a slew of modest dressing inspiration, and this week did not disappoint. While Tunisian favorite Dorra Zarrouk took over our feeds in a traditional jebba in Saudi Arabia, Rym Saidi has us falling in love with jewel tones in a sapphire blue kaftan for Bulgari’s iftar night. And if you needed any more sartorial guidance for the Holy Month, Vogue Arabia’s kaftan round-up has all the inspiration you may need.

Oversees, one of Instagram’s favorite moments was the wedding of Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham, which took place at the bride’s oceanfront Palm Beach estate. Of course, the new Mrs Beckham’s Valentino couture gown (which came with a show-stopping train) was a noteworthy pick, but mother-of-the-groom Victoria Beckham had her own show-stopping moment when she walked down the aisle with husband David Beckham in a custom-made liquid silver gown. As per British Vogue, “The fabric was inspired by the reflection of the moonlight on the ocean at night.” Beckham wore the all-eyes-on-me piece with a diamond necklace, which used the very stone David had gifted her at Brooklyn’s christening.

As the week progressed, fashion enthusiasts got another interesting piece of news to ponder—the reveal of the Met Gala 2022 theme. This year, for “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” the dress code will be gilded glamour, white-tie. Another fashion celebration that was worth noting was the Fashion Institute of Technology’s annual awards gala, which honored the likes of Serena Williams, and raised over $1.5 million. Over in Greece, designer Rami Kadi had a special moment of his own, showcasing a series of eclectic looks from his Lucid Algorithms collection at Athens Fashion Week.
