We all know that the Cannes Film Festival red carpet is not the only place where great fashion moments are spotted during the weeks the annual event takes place. As the buzzing event goes on, its adjacent galas and dinners also see remarkable looks, and one of them was recently served up by Rym Saidi.

The Tunisian model attended the Chopard Trophée Dinner in Cannes this weekend, ditching ball gowns and flared-out skirts for a form-fitting silhouette in a David Koma dress. In an evening-appropriate shade of slate navy blue, the dress, picked from David Koma’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection, featured the designer’s signature elements: an asymmetrical neckline bedazzled with diamantes. A black box clutch completed her outfit, while for jewelry, stylist Cedric Haddad looked to a matching, glittering wrist cuff and earrings. They were shown off by Saidi who wore her freshly cut hair gelled back and tucked behind her ears for a sleek look. Going for a ‘less is more’ approach, the former Vogue Arabia cover star’s glam for the evening included glowy bronzed skin, defined eyes, and a coral pink pout.

London-based designer David Koma’s bold and refined pieces have found a fan in many A-list stars, including Beyoncé, who wore a custom look to this year’s Oscars.

Rym Saidi’s Shimmering Black Dress Is the Only Party Outfit You Need This Summer

Rym Saidi’s Shimmering Black Dress Is the Only Party Outfit You Need This Summer

Photo: Instagram.com/rymsaidi
The Holy Month of Ramadan is officially over for the year, and after stepping out in some beautiful kaftans, Rym Saidi has returned to her staple Western wear. Yesterday, the Tunisian actor shared a set of two heart-warming pictures with her children, in which she was seen wearing a party-ready outfit that would make a smart investment during the hotter months of the year. Her pick: a strappy black dress, which was given an extra dose of drama via a generous smattering of black sequins. Take a closer look below.

Enjoying the outdoors with family on what seems to have been a day off, Rym Saidi posed for the camera in a halter neck number that would work just as well for a large family gathering as it would for an evening out. Instead of delicate embellishment, Saidi’s full-length black  dress came covered in chunky sparklers which added texture to her look. The star styled the dress with minimal jewelry (notice the delicate silver necklace?) and a pair of glossy black peep-toe sling backs. Accompanying her in the frame were her two little daughters: four-year-old Bella Maria Breidy, and two-year-old Aya Sophia Breidy.
Rym Saidi paired her shiny black dress with a fail-safe beauty look
Given that her black maxi dress came with embellishment, Rym Saidi kept the rest of her look fuss-free, including her beauty look. For her family outing, the star opted for minimal makeup, highlighting her cheekbones with a hint of contour and swiping on a neutral lipstick, and left her hair open in its natural texture. A classic French manicure completed her look for the day.
As we step into the heart of the summer, a comfortable dress like Saidi’s is bound to come in handy for celebrations in the coming months. Now is the perfect time to invest in a breezy number similar to hers.

Best Fashion Instagrams of the Week: Victoria Beckham, Rami Kadi, and Serena Williams

Best Fashion Instagrams of the Week: Victoria Beckham, Rami Kadi, and Serena Williams

Ramadan brings with it a slew of modest dressing inspiration, and this week did not disappoint. While Tunisian favorite Dorra Zarrouk took over our feeds in a traditional jebba in Saudi Arabia, Rym Saidi has us falling in love with jewel tones in a sapphire blue kaftan for Bulgari’s iftar night. And if you needed any more sartorial guidance for the Holy Month, Vogue Arabia’s kaftan round-up has all the inspiration you may need.

Oversees, one of Instagram’s favorite moments was the wedding of Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham, which took place at the bride’s oceanfront Palm Beach estate. Of course, the new Mrs Beckham’s Valentino couture gown (which came with a show-stopping train) was a noteworthy pick, but mother-of-the-groom Victoria Beckham had her own show-stopping moment when she walked down the aisle with husband David Beckham in a custom-made liquid silver gown. As per British Vogue, “The fabric was inspired by the reflection of the moonlight on the ocean at night.” Beckham wore the all-eyes-on-me piece with a diamond necklace, which used the very stone David had gifted her at Brooklyn’s christening.

As the week progressed, fashion enthusiasts got another interesting piece of news to ponder—the reveal of the Met Gala 2022 theme. This year, for “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” the dress code will be gilded glamour, white-tie. Another fashion celebration that was worth noting was the Fashion Institute of Technology’s annual awards gala, which honored the likes of Serena Williams, and raised over $1.5 million. Over in Greece, designer Rami Kadi had a special moment of his own, showcasing a series of eclectic looks from his Lucid Algorithms collection at Athens Fashion Week.

Rym Saidi has joined the stars serving covetable modest style this Ramadan with a noteworthy look of her own. The Tunisian model and TV presenter attended an iftar hosted by Bulgari in Dubai last night, making a case for ocean blue for the evening festivities.
Walking into the event with husband Wissam Breidy, Saidi was seen dressed in a satin kaftan by Andrew GN, with a voluminous silhouette balanced out by a pleated center and a mini waist belt detailing. The silky piece also came with blue-green embellishment on its mock neck, leaving no need for jewelry, save for a pair of dainty silver earrings worn by the mother-of-two. Saidi’s look was made complete with a metallic Bulgari Serpenti clutch as arm candy, a sapphire ring for added bling, and a pair of metallic grey flats. As for the glam to go with the elegant ensemble, the former Vogue Arabia cover star wore her hair in a sleek bun with a middle part and opted for a matte bronzed makeup look with a smoky eye and nude lips.

Also nailing couple’s dressing, Breidy’s look included a blazer complementing the shade of Saidi’s kaftan, and was paired with black trousers, a white t-shirt and sneakers. The duo smiled for the cameras upon entrance, and were joined for the festive meal by the likes of Zoya Sakr, Bulgari’s Vincent Reynes, and Rosemin.

Rym Saidi’s White Blouse and Skirt Outfit Is the Perfect Evening Look for the Summer

Rym Saidi’s White Blouse and Skirt Outfit Is the Perfect Evening Look for the Summer

You’d be forgiven for not including the color white in your first choice for an evening out. After all, black isn’t going anywhere, and bright shades of pink are very much on the rise. However, for Rym Saidi, it’s all the more reason to go for the soothing color, which works in her favor and helps her create a standout style moment each time. The model’s appearance last night was no different—Saidi arrived in Riyadh for the opening of Chaumet’s Tiara Dream exhibition dressed head-to-toe in white.
Ditching dresses and gowns, the former Vogue Arabia cover star opted for a breezy shirt and skirt ensemble from Elie Saab‘s Resort 2022 collection. The silk blouse featured a closed neck with miniature ruffles lining its neckline and buttons, while its balloon sleeves came with pleated fabric. The chiffon skirt, cinched in at the waist with a monogrammed belt from the Lebanese designer’s brand, featured pleats and two slits at the front. Saidi completed the sophisticated look by styling her hair in a slicked-back bun and going for a classic smoky eye to complement her nude lip color.

The last time the mother-of-two turned heads in white was during Milan Fashion Week. Her monochrome look from Fendi consisted of a shearling coat with black detailing on top of a white bralette and matching loose-fitted trousers. This look was followed by another Elie Saab dress Saidi wore to a red carpet event, and a tulle number by Dior in 2021. In need of inspiration on multiple ways to wear white? You know where to look.

Arab It Girls: What Rym Saidi, Karen Wazen, and More Are Wearing at Milan Fashion Week

Arab It Girls: What Rym Saidi, Karen Wazen, and More Are Wearing at Milan Fashion Week

Karen Wazen. Photo: Instagram.com/karenwazen
It’s that time of the year again, when the streets of the Big Four are taken over by the Arab world’s It girls, all dressed to the nines. As fashion week kicked off in Milan, Rym Saidi, Karen Wazen, Deema Al Asadi, and more were spotted dashing between shows in inspiring looks.
For the Fendi show on Day 1, Wazen opted for a modest monochrome outfit from the Italian fashion house in a fresh pastel pink shade. The three-piece satin ensemble featured a lapel collar shirt cinched at the waist with a double-F belt, topped with a collarless cropped blazer and wide-legged pants. Adding a bit of logomania to her look, the Lebanese entrepreneur styled the separates with gold O’lock earrings, and a pink Fendigraphy bag with the brand name spelled out in big gold letters at its base.
The arm candy was also worn by Saidi, who attended the show in a monochrome look as well. In contrast to Karen Wazen, however, the Tunisian model chose to make statement outerwear the hero of her outfit, and wore a long white shearling coat with black detailing on top of a white bralette and matching loose-fitted trousers. Saidi wore her hair parted down the middle and slicked back in a braid to let her disc-shaped O’lock earrings stand out. Joining her at the show was also Deema Al Asadi, who walked in wearing a patterned black and white dress, thigh-high black boots, and the very same statement Fendi bag, this time in black.
Other shows at Milan Fashion Week that saw a host of Arab’s best dressed in attendance were Alberta Ferretti and Roberto Cavalli. At the former’s showcase, Miryam Labiad had a sultry moment in body-hugging black separates that came with edgy cut-outs, while Alice Abdelaziz proved that head-to-toe animal print is always a good idea, making an appearance in luxe snakeskin-print separates. Abla Sofy seemed to have the same idea in mind while checking out the latest Cavalli collection, and topped off her grey patterned dress with a matching handbag and a cool graphic eye makeup look. And then there was Diala Makki, who made a strong case for the Little White Dress, a winner no matter what the occasion.
Take a look at all the noteworthy outfits worn by the region’s It girls in Milan below.

Off-Shoulder Tops, Denim, and More: Rym Saidi’s January Wardrobe Is All Things Cool

Off-Shoulder Tops, Denim, and More: Rym Saidi’s January Wardrobe Is All Things Cool

Photo: Instagram.com/rymsaidi
While Rym Saidi is often seen in stunning gowns and floor-grazing dresses, one would be remiss to think her casual style isn’t just as remarkable. The Dubai-based Tunisian actor recently offered a glimpse into her off-duty wardrobe via a photo dump of OOTD pictures with plenty of inspiration to go around.

Stars, they are just like us. The former Vogue Arabia cover star proved that an elevator selfie can’t be resisted when it comes to showing off your outfit by sharing the series of photos with her 1.7 million Instagram followers. Keeping the best for the first, the opening look showed the mother-of-two in a smart-casual, all-black ensemble consisting of a blazer by Lebanese designer Boudi Dib and YSL jeans. The highlight? An off-shoulder asymmetrical bodysuit that has fast become a street style favorite and has been spotted on It girls like Bella Hadid. Saidi’s particular décollatage-baring number was by New York-based brand Alix, known for its bodycon dresses and cold shoulder bodysuits.

Those who wish to make a statement with the top can let Saidi’s second look be their guide. The actor wore another bodysuit in green from the same brand, but on its own this time, and paired it with loose-fitted blue denims from B Sides Jeans for a more relaxed look. With a pair of white sneakers from Common Projects and a Dior monogram bag, her outfit was complete. In another standout ensemble in the photo gallery, Saidi showed us how best to wear a sleeveless knitted top. The actor wore her off-white pick from Sportmax with a pair of pleated trousers from Lebanon-based brand Life and elevated the whole look by tying a sweater around her neck. The last and the most casual look of them all saw the star in the classic white shirt (H&M), blue jeans (Grlfrnd), and white sneakers (Common Projects) combination, accessorized with Dior and Louis Vuitton bags.

Among the host of dazzling gold gowns at Vogue‘s Ball of Arabia, Rym Saidi‘s subtle yet elegant take on the night’s dress code was a noteworthy stand-out moment. The Tunisian actor took the pale gold route on December 12, and breezed into Raffles The Palm Dubai in a gown by Syrian couturier Rami Al Ali, cementing her spot among the best dressed at the grand event.

The strapless dress with a structured corset top flowed into a floor-grazing pleated skirt with a high slit, and was picked from the UAE-based designer’s Fall/Winter 2021 collection. Saidi, who also fronted Vogue Arabia’s May 2019 issue, channeled the model in her as she posed for the cameras at the ball, with lights reflecting off of the sharp pleats of her dress. The star’s look was curated by celebrity stylist Cedric Haddad and served as the perfect mix of regional and international talent, complete with Jimmy Choo heels, a gemstone-adorned Bulgari choker, and matching earrings (notice how one featured a ruby while the other championed a sapphire) that complemented her regal updo.

For the mother-of-two married to actor Wissam Breidy, picking a Rami Al Ali creation for the Ball of Arabia celebrating the UAE was an easy choice. Both, the designer and star, have adopted Dubai as their home, and there could not have been a better way to honor their connection to the country than by coming together to create this memorable sartorial moment. Speaking to Vogue Arabia, the actor shared why the gold number will also be one to remember for her. “I don’t usually wear gold, but it is the most luxurious color,” she said. “It is almost the end of the year, so it is a great occasion to wear the color, especially at this beautiful ball.” Saidi also took the opportunity to spotlight the strength of Emirati women, saying, “I am so proud of them—what they are doing and what they have done already. I am proud as an Arab woman living here in the UAE, and I want to see more and more Emirati women on top.”
Below, more snapshots of Saidi from the evening.

Saudi Arabia‘s historic Al-Balad lit up on the evening of December 6 as some of the world’s biggest stars descended in Jeddah for the Kingdom’s first international film festival. The Red Sea International Film Festival‘s opening night was cause for celebration not only for the Middle East’s proud actors and filmmakers, but also global talents who joined in to spotlight the many achievements of Arab cinema. Showing their support, in attendance were Marvel star Anthony Mackie, English actor Clive Owen, American actor Hilary Swank, and Italian actor Michele Morrone. Internationally-followed models Candice Swanepoel, Alessandra Ambrosio, Irina Shayk, Shanina Shaik, and Sara Sampaio also made glamorous attendees, with some donning Arab designers. While Sampaio and Shaik chose shimmering pieces from Lebanese couturier—and Ball of Arabia 2021 co-chair—Zuhair Murad, Ambrosio opted for a white number by Georges Hobeika with a thigh-high slit.
The Arab world’s stars, of course, made sure to match the energy of the historic ceremony dressed in creations by regional designers. Jury member Hend Sabri championed Saudi talent in a bespoke off-white pleated gown by Honayda. Actors Razane Jammal and Tara Emad opted for flowing silhouettes by Lebanese label Harithand, while couturier Georges Hobeika’s head-turning pieces were worn by Saba Mubarak and Rym Saidi. As for iconic actors Yousra and Lebleba, delicate violet gowns doused in embellishment were the order for the day.
It’s safe to say, however, that saturated hues ruled the red carpet last evening. While Mila Al Zahrani opted for a royal blue tulle number, Mahira Abdelaziz chatted with Vogue Arabia in a draped orange Tony Ward, and Saudi actor Ahd Kamel went the emerald route in Jeddah-based Saudi designer Ruba Bahareth. Among the most interesting looks from the evening was Karen Wazen’s sharp black pantsuit, proof that power dressing never fails.
As the evening progressed, guests were treated to a theatrical dance performance that marked the opening of the 10-day festival at the Red Sea Gala Theatre, and also witnessed an award ceremony, where three inspiring women were honored: Egyptian actress Laila Elwi, who has often been admired for her bold choice of roles, French actress, singer, model, and producer Catherine Deneuve, and Saudi filmmaker Haifaa Al Mansour, who shared a heartfelt speech. Below, we take you through some of the best red carpet moments from the Red Sea International Film Festival.
