Rihanna’s maternity style has been all belly-baring crop tops and low-rise baggy jeans – until now. While out with partner (possibly fiancé, judging by the substantial diamond ring on her finger) A$AP Rocky in LA, the star was positively glowing in a diaphanous Simone Rocha babydoll dress, colorful Union Air Jordan 4 SP “Guava Ice” sneakers, and a pair of Loewe Paula’s Ibiza sunglasses.
The floaty dress is a departure from the skin-flashing looks she’s been wearing since announcing her pregnancy – her vintage pink Chanel coat, Dior lingerie and shimmering Coperni separates being notable highlights. Though not officially a maternity dress, the Simone midi is the perfect piece in which to embrace her bump.
Many stylish mums-to-be have turned to Rocha’s spirited dresses to see them through pregnancy. As the designer’s fanbase will know, Rocha’s ready-to-wear lends itself well to a changing body, owing to her forgiving silhouettes and sweet, fanciful trims. Should Rihanna choose to continue her breezy dress streak, there is much for her to enjoy in Rocha’s autumn/winter 2022 collection. The black puff-sleeve coat accessorized with a pearly choker would suit for dinner at her favorite Italian restaurant, Giorgio Baldi, while the boudoir-ready dresses with trailing ribbons would work for a special occasion.
Rihanna has a keen eye for London talent: earlier this week she wore a sculpting mini from KNWLS’s autumn/winter 2021 collection, the brand masterminded by Fashion East alum Charlotte Knowles and her boyfriend, Alexandre Arsenault.

Mom-To-Be Rihanna’s Latest Maternity Look Included a Rare Vintage Bag and Sparkling Amina Muaddi Heels
Rihanna has been making waves with her maternity wardrobe in recent weeks, with her bump jewelry being a major part of that. But she added a new accessory to her pregnancy wardrobe while out for dinner in Santa Monica on Tuesday night, in the form of a rare vintage bag.
The megastar showed off a limited edition Fendi Squirrel Spy bag in velvet, dating back to the Noughties, which she teamed with an Awake hoodie, Attico mini skirt and embellished Amina Muaddi heels (the mix of casual and partywear is a Rih trademark).
Known to be a vintage obsessive, Rihanna’s Y2K Fendi Spy bag is far from the only piece of fashion history in her wardrobe. The beauty mogul is also the proud owner of a Fendi Croissant, Louis Vuitton X Stephen Sprouse’s Pochette bag, as well as several vintage Chanel classics. With fashion heirlooms like these, baby RiRi is set to inherit quite the collection.

If there were an equivalent to a prom king and queen for fashion month, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky would be it. Following a surprise appearance at Alessandro Michele’s Exquisite Gucci show in Milan – Rihanna in a puff of purple faux fur over her PVC and lace crop top, A$AP toting a monogrammed Gucci briefcase that may or may not have contained their plans for world domination – fashion’s favorite couple jetted to Paris to take in the Off-White autumn/winter 2022 show.
The pregnant singer again demonstrated her commitment to her personal style – no maternity smocks for Rihanna – in a peach leather minidress with strappy sandals and a shearling coat thrown over the top. She completed the look with a statement neckpiece, along with diamond earrings by Maria Tash.
The crowd at the Off-White autumn/winter 2022 show in Paris on Monday night was a reflection of the late Virgil Abloh’s seismic impact on fashion. The brand’s late founder, who died in November, was honored at a presentation where Idris and Sabrina Elba were spied chatting to Pharrell Williams, and supermodel (and former French first lady) Carla Bruni joined footballer Paul Pogba on the front row.
Speaking of supermodels, there were at least a dozen on the runway, both original and new-gen. Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Helena Christensen and Amber Valletta represented the old guard, while Cindy’s daughter Kaia, Kendall Jenner, Bella and Gigi Hadid all also walked.
Abloh’s death at the age of 41 on 28 November 2021, following a private battle with cancer, rocked the fashion industry. “As a leader of change, the impact of his work cannot be overstated,” said British Vogue’s Edward Enninful on stage at the Fashion Awards, which took place the day after the visionary designer’s passing.

Picture this: It’s 2016, you’re in Manhattan, and Rihanna’s wearing a $15,000 big red heart-shaped fur jacket by Saint Laurent to feed the birds at 7 a.m. The luxurious, one-of-a-kind coat went on to become one of Rihanna’s most-photographed ensembles of all time (she wore the outfit all night long, and was photographed again later in the early morning). Flash forward to just last night, and Bad Gal Riri re-wore the sweet outerwear once again. This time around, she gave it a much sportier twist.
Heading out for dinner at Nobu in Los Angeles, Rihanna proved her prowess for high-fashion maternity dressing once again by busting out her heart-shaped fur. In 2016, she wore the statement piece with denim cutoffs and a black baseball cap. This time, she dressed it down again—well, as much as that coat can be!—but in a different way. Rih paired it with a Chicago Bulls jersey, brown patchwork Vetements sweatpants, and strappy flip-flop heels. (Even in the winter, she loves a flip-flop heel.) Around her neck was a blingy pendant necklace that likely costs more than a down payment on a car.
Given that the mogul is photographed in a killer ensemble almost every single day, it’s great to see her re-wearing her wardrobe. When a coat costs that much, you’d hope she’d get more than one wear out of it. The fact that she wore it just after Valentine’s Day, meanwhile, is likely no coincidence. She’s been wearing red all week long, including a stellar Alaïa coat for a date night with A$AP Rocky. Someone’s clearly feeling the love, and she’s showing it by wearing her heart on her sleeve—or rather, back.

Expecting Mom Rihanna’s Super Bowl Outfit Included a Sheer Blue Shirt That Put Her Baby Bump on Full Display
This week, the Fenty mogul was pictured en route to the stadium in California, channelling a contemporary casual Audrey Hepburn in a Balenciaga snood/Prada sunglasses combination. Her choice of outerwear was a plush Balenciaga faux fur bomber, which she teamed with a pair of baggy jeans (her collection is vast). Underneath her luxe bomber, the entrepreneur wore a sheer shirt from menswear label Jetpack Hom(m)e, which rested nicely atop her bump. Then to finish, Rih slipped on some slingback pumps from every It-girl’s favorite party label, The Attico.
Rihanna and her longtime collaborator, stylist Jahleel Weaver, are certainly working overtime this week.

Rihanna may be killing the maternity fashion game right now, but that doesn’t mean it comes easy.
While attending the Fenty Beauty Universe Event in Los Angeles with partner A$AP Rocky on February 11, the ‘Diamonds’ singer revealed that dressing while pregnant has presented “a challenge.”
Still, it’s not without its perks. “I like it. I’m enjoying it,” Rihanna said in an interview. “I’m enjoying not having to worry about covering up my tummy. If I feel a little chubby, it’s like, whatever! It’s a baby!”
She continued, “Right now, being pregnant, some days you just feel like, ‘Ugh, I just want to lay here on this couch all day.’ But when you put on a little face and a little lipstick, you transform. You put some clothes on, and it’s like, when you look good, you feel good. I’ve heard that for a very long time, but it’s true. It really can get you up off that couch and make you feel like a bad boss.”
Rihanna may have utilized oversized coats and fashion staples while she was keeping her pregnancy a secret, that certainly stopped when she announced she was expecting her first child in late January. Rihanna came out swinging with a street-style photoshoot, wearing an open, hot pink vintage Chanel coat from the label’s fall-winter 1996 show by the late creative director Karl Lagerfeld. Her bare bump was draped in jewels and body chains.
Since then it’s been look after look after look. From her low-rise jeans and trucker hat combo to a strappy monochrome ensemble. If you didn’t think it could get much more see-through than that, Rihanna attended the Fenty Beauty Universe Event in a completely shredded, glittery ensemble by The Attico. See the look for yourself:
And here she is with A$AP Rocky:
Honestly, this may be the best look yet.

Today is Valentine’s Day, otherwise known as the official day of romance, flowers, and candy. And for Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, clearly love is already in the air. The couple were seen stepping out on Saturday in Los Angeles after a Savage x Fenty store event in matching red, stylishly in sync as ever.
Rihanna continued her winning streak of recent fashion-forward maternity looks (did you catch her in The Attico this weekend?) slipping into a custom red leather coat-dress by Alaïa, designed by Pieter Mulier. It came finished with a Grace Jones style hood and needed little more than a pair of strappy red heels to feel complete. For her beauty look, the mom-to-be perfectly complemented the palette of her outfit with razor sharp cat eyes in scarlet, a glossy nude lip color.
A$AP, meanwhile, opted for a sequin-pinstriped, double-breasted Celine suit with a crisp white shirt. His metallic silver and red sneakers played off Rihanna’s ensemble, without stealing the spotlight.
With V-day just hours away officially here, it remains to be seen which celebrity couple will be able to pull off a fashion moment with quite as much unstudied cool as these two.

Celebrities had an eventful couple of days in terms of fashion this week. To start things off, the Joy Awards in Saudi Arabia lit up the city of Riyadh with a star-studded guest list. Among the best dressed there were Nadine Nassib Njeim, who attended in a slinky black backless gown with crystal detailing by Aden Fashion, and Nancy Ajram, who went all-out in a gold Alexandre Vauthier number.
As the week progressed, all eyes were on Rihanna, who broke the news about her pregnancy with never-seen-before snapshots that revealed her baby bump. In true RiRi style, the musician chose a cool sartorial look for the big reveal—a hot pink vintage jacket from Chanel’s fall 1996 collection by Karl Lagerfeld, which was topped off with layers of pearls and gemstones. It’s safe to say that Rihanna’s maternity looks will inspire thousands of expecting moms to spruce things up with their pre-baby outfit picks as well.
Another celebrity who took over our Instagram feeds over the past few days was Jennifer Lopez. ICYMI, the star’s next film, Marry Me, releases soon, and J.LO currently has her hands full with promotional outings, which have been accompanied by a series of ‘gram-worthy OOTDs. This week, Lopez nailed the matchy-matchy trend in back-to-back layered looks, ranging from a snakeskin print Roberto Cavalli ensemble to a hot pink Valentino look, all of which were shared on stylist Rob Zangardi’s feed.
And that’s not all. Among this week’s most fashionable posts were the first look of Kim Kardashian‘s new campaign shots for Balenciaga, and Copenhagen Fashion Week’s most colorful, quirky street style moments. For SATC fans, there was no missing the final episode of And Just Like That…, which saw Carrie Bradshaw have a big fashion moment in an extravagant off-shoulder Valentino gown in a bold shade of tangerine. Never one to do things half-heartedly, the Sarah Jessica Parker paired the piece with bold pink gloves. Want more? Start scrolling to get in on all the action.

Rihanna nearly broke the internet last night, confirming the pregnancy rumors and revealing that she is, in fact, expecting her first child. While most celebrity couples choose to reveal the happy news via social media or spokespeople, the Barbadian singer and her partner A$AP Rocky did so showcasing covetable style at the same time.
The couple was snapped by paparazzi during a walk in the snow, and even without the pregnancy reveal, Rihanna’s ensemble would have had people talking. The mother-to-be was dressed in the highly popular shade of hot pink, in the form of a long puffer coat from Chanel’s fall 1996 collection by Karl Lagerfeld. Standing beside Rocky under Manhattan’s Williamsburg bridge, Rihanna left the vintage piece unbuttoned to reveal her baby bump, which was adorned with bejeweled chains. A Chanel chain belt was looped around her light blue baggy jeans, which effortlessly coordinated her look with that of her partner, who wore a Carhatt jean jacket over a hoodie sweater and paired with baggy leather pants. The Fenty Beauty founder’s glam was also complete with matching glossy pink lips, contoured and blushed cheeks, eyeshadow, and natural curls styled in a half-up half-down style.
This particular look is certainly the most iconic one in the singer’s series of maternity outfits which she has been sporting since before her pregnancy was confirmed. At the 2021 Met Gala, the couple arrived fashionably late in similar oversized ensembles: Rihanna, in a custom Balenciaga coat, and Rocky, in a multicolor patchwork wrap by ERL. Since then, the beauty mogul’s public wardrobe has featured a range of belly-hiding outerwear. What they lacked in Rihanna’s usual daring style, they made up for in bold colors. From a tangerine Bottega Veneta coat and a bright red Balenciaga parka, to a royal blue Martine Rose windbreaker, the 33-year-old wore them all. With the pregnancy no longer hidden, come summer, Rihanna may very well ditch the oversized silhouette to show a more fearless side of her maternity wardrobe.
