Inside the Kardashian-Jenner Christmas Party 2022: Red Valentino Bows, Silver Versace Sequins and Sia Singing

The Kardashian-Jenner family celebrated the holidays with their annual Christmas party, with matriarch Kris Jenner and all five of her daughters taking their own sartorial approach.

Kris attended the event wearing a long-sleeved, round neckline, tiered ruffle dress with a bow at the waist, playing on the idea of Christmas-red and gifting. The dress was vintage Valentino.

Kim Kardashian wore a sparkling floor-length silver asymmetric shoulder dress from Versace. She was joined by her children North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm West.

North took a cue from her mother with the sparkling theme and wore a two-piece gray sequined ensemble. Chicago coordinated with a sequin peplum dress with tights and black boots. Saint wore a black ensemble with black and red sneakers, and Psalm wore a two-piece outfit, including a utility jacket and coordinated with his sisters in gray.

Khloé Kardashian wore a formfitting red dress with a low-cut neckline, a thigh-high slit and a small train custom designed by Nicolas Jebran. Khloé finished the look with open-toe stilettos with a chainlink ankle strap. She accessorized with a diamond necklace and diamond earrings. She also carried a Santa clutch bag from Judith Leiber Couture. Her daughter True Thompson matched her in a custom red dress by La Roxx.

Kourtney Kardashian Barker went for an ethereal dress, opting for a long-sleeved white cutout gown with a rose appliqué on the bodice, ruching and a sheer skirt.

Kendall Jenner coordinated with her sister Khloé and mother Kris, and also opted to wear red, selecting a red sequin column gown with a train and crisscross-strap red shoes.

Kylie Jenner stood out from the rest of her sisters, wearing a beige and black floral lace spaghetti strap dress. Her daughter Stormi Webster wore a matching ballgown to accompany her mother.

This year’s Kardashian-Jenner Christmas party was nothing short of extravagant. The scene for the event included large red Christmas trees, a red ball pit, a gingerbread house station and a man dressed as one of Santa’s elves. This year singer Sia also attended the event, dressed in an ethereal white dress like a snow angel, to sing alongside North West. Sia and North sang Sia’s song “Snowman” and her hit “Chandelier.”

Sustainable or Greenwashed? Eco-Activists on Kourtney Kardashian’s Collaboration with Boohoo

Sustainable or Greenwashed? Eco-Activists on Kourtney Kardashian’s Collaboration with Boohoo

Kourtney Kardashian for Boohoo
The heat is rising for Kourtney Kardashian, as criticism of her current and upcoming collaborations with Boohoo and her appointment as the brand’s ‘sustainability ambassador’ refuses to slow down – and key environmental players including Livia Firth aren’t pulling any punches.
Firth, a long-time critic of fast fashion and greenwashing through her organization Eco-Age and Vogue Arabia’s sustainability editor, didn’t hold back in an Instagram post, highlighting the problems with raising awareness of the damage fast fashion does, while still promoting and producing it.
“Any ambassador, whether a Kardashian or other, should only promote these brands if they commit to change the business model, slow down production, pay their workers more, and use sustainable materials,” Firth exclusively told Vogue Arabia. “It’s that simple. Anything else is just a lazy attitude that creates more harm than not. Kourtney has a huge platform and if she promotes greenwashing, instead of educating young people on what sustainability really is, she is just giving them permission to shop more and more and more.”

UK-based online retailer Boohoo has repeatedly come under fire for its working practices, including accusations of unfair and unsafe working conditions and making misleading claims of sustainability.
“Fast fashion is a business model that would never be sustainable, it is predicated on the simple formula of producing millions of clothes and selling them at very cheap prices, so people use them short term, dispose quickly and start again,” explains Firth. “And this formula is only made possible by using slave labor. So fast fashion equals environmental destruction and social exploitation. No matter how many ‘sustainable’ capsule collections they produce, the above formula stays intact.”
On the day her first collection launched at New York Fashion Week earlier this week, Kardashian hit back at critics of her new role in an Instagram post, saying: “I knew it would get backlash,” stating that fast fashion retailer Boohoo and sustainability “just don’t go hand in hand.”
“I went back and forth about doing this collection with Boohoo because the first thing I think about when I hear the words ‘fast fashion’ is that it’s bad for our planet,” explained the Poosh lifestyle website founder and entrepreneur. “I thought about the attention this collaboration would bring to people who may otherwise have no idea about the impacts of fast fashion on our planet. I thought about how pushing Boohoo to make some initial changes and then holding them accountable to larger change would be impactful.”

But her statements have been met with cynicism, as social media users and sustainability champions alike accuse Boohoo and Kardashian of ‘greenwashing’ – paying lip service to reducing environmental impact and using it to promote their products without intending to make any real changes to their business model. Environmental group A Plastic Planet said that the Boohoo/Kardashian partnership had “taken greenwashing to the next level”, while garment workers’ rights organization Labour Behind The Label had just one word for the collaboration’s announcement: “Urg.”
Outside of her partnership with Boohoo, Kardashian has also faced recent criticism for her family’s jet-setting lifestyle as well as her property’s excessive consumption of water during California’s recent droughts. Only time will tell whether her new sustainability role will help her to understand the impact of fashion as well as other lifestyle factors on our planet.

Kourtney Kardashian Barker Expands Her Wellness Portfolio By Launching a Gummy Supplement Brand

Kourtney Kardashian Barker Expands Her Wellness Portfolio By Launching a Gummy Supplement Brand

Kourtney Kardashian Barker is adding a new wellness venture to her portfolio. The reality TV star and entrepreneur, who also founded the lifestyle community Poosh, has now launched a vitamin brand named Lemme. “After years of struggling to find the right supplements, I embarked on a journey to create science-backed products that you would legitimately look forward to taking every day,” Kardashian Barker stated in the announcement.

Each formula in the ingestible beauty brand was muscle tested on herself, and features three gummy variants: Lemme Focus, a strawberry-flavored gummy cognizin citicoline, lion’s mane, MCT oil; Lemme Chill, a berry-flavored gummy with ashwaghanda and goji berry; and Lemme Matcha, which is said to be partially inspired by her relationship with husband Travis Barker. They come packaged in clear lilac bottles with matching pastel labels, inspired by vintage candy jars and Kardashian Barker’s love for them.
While her sisters Kim and Kylie have a major hold on the beauty and skincare world with their respective lines, a vitamin brand makes sense for Kourtney Kardashian who is a known wellness enthusiast. The 43-year-old previously fronted Vogue Arabia’s July/August 2020 Wellness Issue, where she shared that her clean living journey began when she had her first child, “I started learning about what we put in our bodies and then it was kind of a snowball effect. You can’t unlearn the information,” she said.

Speaking to WSJ about Lemme, and how the brand name came to be, Kardashian Barker said, “I couldn’t think of the right word for each scenario [in which to take a supplement], but we’d say all the time, ‘Lemme focus on this.’ Once we realized we use it so much in our vocabulary, none of us could get it out of our heads. You know, Lemme-everything-that-I’m-doing.”
Kardashian Baker’s Lemme will be available to purchase via the brand’s website from September 27.

Kim Kardashian Rewore Two Dresses at Once for Kourtney Kardashian’s Italian Wedding

Kim Kardashian Rewore Two Dresses at Once for Kourtney Kardashian’s Italian Wedding

Kim Kardashian is rarely seen in the same look twice, but she pulled a surprisingly sustainable move for Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s Italian wedding.
The entire Kardashian-Jenner gang was decked out in Dolce & Gabbana for Kourtney’s lavish Portofino wedding on May 22, which was hosted by the luxury fashion house at their L’Ulivetta villa. In fact, the reality TV star family was dressed in D&G for the entire weekend of pre-nuptial festivities. While the Internet has been flooded with photos of Kourtney’s custom corset minidress and extravagant veil ever since her big day, Kim didn’t share photos in her own lacey D&G gown on Instagram until May 27.
“KRAVIS FOREVER,” Kim wrote on Instagram alongside a series of photos in her head-to-toe lace with a large gold and green statement neckpiece. Her platinum hair was worn in a messy-style bun with loose face-framing strands. What you may not be able to tell from the photos is that her ensemble was actually two dresses in one—and both were dug up from Kim’s own closet.

On Sunday, May 28, Kim shared the “fun fact” about her Kravis wedding look in a series of Instagram Stories. “I know you guys just saw me in my archive on last week’s episode of The Kardashians,” she began, alongside a photo with her daughter, North West. “I have every piece photographed and on the app. So when I knew I was going to Italy (LOVE a theme for a trip) I pulled all my Dolce & Gabbana clothes to try on again and see if I could rewear anything!”
Kim Kardashian ultimately decided on a strapless lace D&G gown that she purchased at Bergdorf Goodman in 2011 and wore to Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards that same year. However, to make the look feel “more modern and more me” for the wedding, Kim wore the garment over a completely sheer lace-gloved dress by Vetements, which she also had in her closet.

Back in 2011, Kim Kardashian took home the award for entrepreneur of the year at the Glamour WOTY event. While that’s hardly a shock considering the SKIMS empire she has gone on to build, what is surprising is that her tweet about the victory only had 74 likes and 254 retweets at the time this article was published.
Simpler times.

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker Are Engaged: A Look at Their Couples’ Style

Congratulations are in order for Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker, who are now engaged.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, the Poosh founder uploaded two photos of herself and Barker embracing on the beach surrounded by endless roses and candles with the caption “forever,” tagging her now-fiancé’s account. The drummer reportedly popped the question at a beachside hotel in Montecito, Calif.
The couple started dating in January this year after being friends for years, according to People.

However, the two kept their relationship mostly under wraps in the beginning. Kardashian confirmed the romance when she uploaded a belated Valentine’s Day post of an up-close shot of her holding Barker’s hand.
In April, Barker posted the first photo of them kissing on Instagram for Kardashian’s 42nd birthday. “I F–KING LOVE YOU! 🖤 YOU’RE A BLESSING TO THIS WORLD,” his caption read. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY.”

From there, the couple no longer became camera shy when it came to posting photos of their affection for each other.

Similar to Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly, Kardashian and Barker found ways to complement each other’s styles and personalities well.
The two finally made their red carpet debut at the MTV Video Music Awards in September, where both appeared in all-black ensembles and snapped photos touching tongues alongside Fox and Machine Gun Kelly.

Kardashian wore an Olivier Theyskens leather bustier dress from his spring 2021 collection paired with a vintage Prada bag and heels by Manolo Blahnik. Barker went shirtless under a Thom Browne suit that featured spikes embellished on the knees and shoulders.
This marks Kardashian’s first engagement, though she shares three children, Mason, Penelope and Reign, with former partner Scott Disick. Barker was previously married to Melissa Kennedy from 2001 to 2002 and Shanna Moakler from 2004 to 2008. He shares a son, Landon, and daughter, Alabama, with the latter, and still remains close to his stepdaughter Atiana, who is Moakler’s child with Oscar De La Hoya.
