Karen Wazen knows how to dress up for a night out in the city, and her latest look is only further proof of that. Tapping into the summer’s most glamorous party trend, the Dubai-based entrepreneur was recently decked out in glitter while still keeping her outfit fresh and chic. The style trick to nailing the look? Wearing an oversized blazer as a mini dress.
Wazen’s pick from Sla the Label came in a blinding metallic white with shimmer all over, and featured a wide lapel, sharp shoulders, and extra-long sleeves for an effortless look. To balance out the slouchy silhouette, the mother-of-three chose clear pointed-toe heels from her sister Andrea Wazen’s namesake label. Photos shared with her 7.6 million Instagram followers see her wearing all-black sunglasses from her own eyewear brand, which only served to add on to the edginess of her ensemble. Forgoing earrings, Wazen went the minimalistic and polished route with her glam for the evening by wearing her hair in a sleek, middle-parted bun, and sporting dewy skin and a nude pout for a fuss-free makeup look.

No longer reserved for the winter party season, glittering fabrics and sequins for summer are being touted by celebrities all over, including Beyoncé and Selena Gomez. If you haven’t invested in one already, take cues from Wazen, whose blazer dress can also be transformed into a modest look with matching pants as the mercury drops.

If there’s one thing we can say for sure about Karen Wazen‘s sartorial aesthetic, it’s that she loves a pop of color. Over the past few months, the Lebanese influencer and entrepreneur has been spotted in a spectrum of vibrant hues, from acid blue and emerald green to canary yellow. And yesterday, it was time for Wazen to give striking scarlet a little love.
Seen enjoying an evening out in Doha, Qatar, Karen Wazen made a case for traffic-stopping reds in a crinkled silk-chiffon gown by Egyptian fashion house SemSem. The billowing ensemble created the illusion of a formal kaftan, and came with two floor-length sleeves that fluttered behind her as she walked. Take a closer look below.

Did you miss the Swarovski detailing on Karen Wazen’s red gown?
Adding just the right amount of sparkle to Karen Wazen’s look from Doha were the delicate Swarovski buttons that dotted the front of her SemSem gown. Instead of pairing her kaftan-inspired look with matching accessories, the 35-year-old opted for a champagne gold and pink handbag from her sister Andrea Wazen’s label for the night out. A classic diamond ring was among her only accessories. As for her beauty look, Wazen painted a sultry picture on Instagram with artfully disheveled ombré waves, and natural makeup that drew attention to her doe eyes.

Trust Karen Wazen to step out in one of the season’s buzziest dresses while serving up vacation OOTD inspiration at the same time. The style-savvy Lebanese entrepreneur is currently on a work trip to Capri, Italy, making it the perfect opportunity to take trendy numbers out for a spin. The latest piece in question is Loewe’s tank dress, which comes in a blurry print of the colors red, beige, and blue, all blending together. Its body-hugging silhouette with a slit make for great Instagram fodder, and the multicolored pattern offers a range of styling options.

Unconvinced? Look to Kendall Jenner, who was spotted in the dress earlier this month, and wore it with a brown St. Agni bag and black platform thong sandals by Dries Van Noten. It may come as no surprise that the piece has been sold out since, but when one does manage to get their hands on it and wants to make their outfit dressier, take cues from Wazen. To add more color to her ensemble, the mother-of-three styled the dress with complementing royal blue accessories that came in the form of a chain-link handbag, and strappy stilettos from her sister Andrea Wazen’s namesake brand.

Wazen was also seen with a dainty chain necklace and bracelets for a bit of bling, while her beachy, wavy hair and a fresh pastel blue manicure added the finishing touches to her summer-ready outfit.

Karen Wazen has found the ideal way to make silk co-ords work for a night out. The entrepreneur recently stepped out for what appeared to be a date night with husband Elias Bakhazi in Dubai, and for the occasion, ditched dresses to go for something comfier, but just as stylish. Wazen wore an olive green two-piece set from Kayat, the New-York based brand led by Moroccan-Dutch designer Laila Aziz.

The mother-of-three elevated the oversized separates by wearing her collared shirt over a fitted white crop top, which also balanced out her loose, straight trousers, held at the waist by a drawstring. Her arm candy of choice was a white handbag by Valentino, which came with gold hardware. Wazen also kept the rest of her ensemble pared-back with minimal jewelry, and made up for it with her beauty look. While her hair was worn down in a sleek and straightened style, her makeup featured defined eyes, glowy skin, and a matte nude pout.

Although Wazen’s footwear of choice was not visible in the outfit photos shared with her 7.3 million followers, it’d be safe to think that she may have worn a pair from her sibling, Andrea Wazen’s namesake brand, being a supportive sister. For those wishing to recreate the look, make sure to go for open-toed style heels for the finishing touch of glam to your outfit.

Dressing up for a suhoor gathering calls for a look that is as comfortable as it is elegant, and Karen Wazen nailed just that with her recent outfit. While in Sharjah attending a suhoor hosted by Dior, the entrepreneur picked the breezy silhouette of a maxi dress in black, a fail-safe color for evening wear. The dress, made entirely with a shimmering fabric, was picked from the fashion house’s dedicated Ramadan capsule collection and features a modest high neck, and full-length sleeves.

Wazen kept the accessories to a minimum as one does for a laid-back late evening in Ramadan, and opted for a pair of dainty drop earrings, and a black Lady D-joy bag. Sporting a sleek blowdry, the mother-of-three went for a neutral monochrome makeup look, which included a subtle brown eyeshadow, peach-toned blush, and a matte brownish nude lip.

The day was particularly special for Wazen, who also celebrated her birthday on April 10. Taking to Instagram to share her gratitude for the birthday wishes, Wazen posted pictures of herself celebrating the day with her husband Elias Bakhazi and their children. This time, Wazen was seen in a pared-back halter neck dress in metallic green fabric, which will be perfect come party season, or for nights out in summer.

This week, the British royal family was at the forefront of fashion talk, thanks to Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge‘s sartorial choices during the royal tour to the Caribbean. As always, the Duchess honored the locations she visited through her ensembles, stepping out in Jamaica dressed in a bold yellow dress by Roksanda, and enjoying some sunshine in Belize dressed in a tropical print dress which featured the colors of the Belize flag. Her biggest fashion moment during the tour, however, included a shimmering pink maxi dress from The Vampire’s Wife. Middleton stepped away from her usual ladylike midis for a hint of drama with this pick, which she styled with Jimmy Choo heels and an embroidered Mayan clutch.
Keeping the royal family in mind, another big moment came via the release of British Vogue‘s cover, which marked Queen Elizabeth’s cover debut, in celebration of the monarch’s platinum jubilee. The issue features a portrait of the royal shot by Antony Armstrong Jones which has become one of her most popular images across the globe.

Closer to home, Karen Wazen took over our feeds this week while attending a wedding, dressed in a lime green feather-trimmed kaftan-style dress that may just make it to your summer wish list. Tara Emad too made a case for breezy silhouettes, stepping out in a multicolored Chanel maxi skirt, and Gigi Hadid, joined by sister Bella Hadid, made a noteworthy appearance on the runway for Ralph Lauren’s Fall/Winter 2022 show. What do you wear to a spring wedding at an outdoor venue? Karen Wazen and Lojain Omran may just have the perfect answer. The two attended the nuptials of Lebanese radio host Kris Fade earlier this week in Dubai, and served covetable wedding guest style at the same time.

Showing love to one of the season’s sought-after colors, Wazen was dressed in a lime green number from Taller Marmo—the Dubai-based brand known for its breezy kaftans and feather-trimmed pieces. This particular crepe dress worn by the mother-of-three featured a one-shoulder neckline and came with feathers that lined its kaftan-style bat sleeve all the way down to the floor-grazing hem. Allowing the electric-hued piece to be the star of her outfit, the entrepreneur chose to go without any accessories, but did bring in a little drama to her look with a smoky eye. Her hair too complemented the dress, and was worn down in romantic beachy waves, parted in the middle. Wazen was joined by husband Elias Bakhazi, who put a sweet spin on couple’s dressing by opting for a pair of sunglasses from his wife’s eyewear brand to go with his navy blue suit.

Feathers were favored by Omran as well, who also wore a dress in another one of the season’s much-loved shades. The Saudi presenter’s look for the weddings featured a hot pink form-fitted dress, with sleeves adorned with layers and layers of fine feathers. While her makeup for the evening matched her dress with the help of a bright pink lip, the rest of her ensemble leaned towards color-blocking and included a dark green handbag and dazzling jewelry with emeralds.
As summer weddings in Dubai start filling up calendars, you may want to bookmark these two ways of wearing saturated-hued and feather-trimmed dresses.

Trust fashion week fixture Karen Wazen to serve two distinct outfits in one day. While in New York to attend the off-schedule Alexander McQueen show, the Lebanese entrepreneur went from sporting an ultra-feminine look to a bold and edgy one within a span of 24 hours.

To view the show during the day, Wazen opted for a dress in pale yellow from the British fashion house, which featured a fitted bodice with zip detailing at the neck, balloon sleeves, and a pleated, flared-out skirt fit for a modern-day princess vibe. Balancing the look and adding a touch of maturity to it, the mother-of-three went for black pumps whose pointed toes were adorned with studs. The choice of footwear also complemented her second outfit for the evening. This time embracing a grungier aesthetic, Wazen looked to the fail-safe head-to-black look, but stepped it up a notch by incorporating not one, but two sustainable leather pieces. Her black bandeau top was topped off with a matching belted coat, and paired with straight-fit trousers.

Wazen’s beauty look to go with the outfits? Sideswept bangs and a top knot that went from polished to messy as the day went on, working in favor of both ensembles. As for her glam for the day, the influencer offered makeup inspiration for the summer by adding a pop of color to her eyeshadow. With her eyelids painted in a muted blue shade, the rest of Wazen’s look featured glowy skin and a pinky nude lip.

The streets of Paris are rife with color as fashion week attendees from the Middle East arrive at the shows dressed in monochrome and brightly-colored outfits. Whatever your favorite shade may be, there’s plenty of inspiration to go around and to embrace saturated hues void of patterns.
Karen Wazen‘s look for the Dior show was met with a flurry of appreciation as her 7.2 million followers took in her lime green number. The Lebanese entrepreneur chose to wear a shift dress with a high neck which was cinched in at the waist with a long belt, and paired the piece with a matching chain strap quilted bag from the brand. Also at the French house’s Fall 2022 show, Nojoud Alrumaihi made a case for royal blue in a similar shirt dress, but with zip-up detailing. The Saudi marketing specialist styled the piece with black leggings, lace-up boots, and a Lady Dior clutch. Indulging in color-blocking was Dima Al Sheikhly, who wore a sleeveless black dress from the fashion house, featuring bright orange and green stripes on its hem, and paired it with a blue purse.
Elsewhere during the week, Diala Makki opted for head-to-toe forest green for the Balmain show. The TV host wore a tweed shirt left unbuttoned at the waist to reveal the Balmain logo belt looped around her loose-fitted trousers, which were tucked into her strappy heels. Honorable mention goes to to Rawdah Mohamed, who turned heads in an ensemble featuring a bold color pairing. Created by Paris-based designer Gregory Assaad, the white and yellow patterned shirt worn by the Somali-Norwegian model featured voluminous sleeves, which she offset with straight-legged leather pants in red. Ola Farahat and Reem Alswaidi also found fans in the color yellow. While the former matched her yellow pants to her purse, the latter wore a monochrome suit, pairing it with purple heels and a white coat. Those who prefer neutral shades, however, might find themselves gravitating towards Haifa Wehbe’s look. The Lebanese star championed faux fur in a long brown and beige hooded coat, which she paired with black tights and metallic silver boots.

The current climate around the world is a sombre one, due to the latest updates coming our way via Ukraine, which is now in the midst of a crisis. However, the week did begin on a celebratory note thanks to Milan Fashion Week, which has already given us more than a handful of strong sartorial moments.
Among the front row regulars this week was Kim Kardashian, who finally took a break from her back-to-back Balenciaga bodysuits for a rich caramel-hued boiler suit. The entrepreneur then made her way to Prada’s showcase dressed in shades of pistachio green and soft grey, where she was joined by none other than Vogue Arabia’s February 2022 cover star, Rita Ora.

Of course, no fashion week is complete without some Arab representation, and this time, our It Girls brought their A-Game to the streets of Milan. While Karen Wazen—the first Arab woman to feature in a Roberto Cavalli campaign—attended the Italian fashion house’s show in a striking yellow and black tiger print blazer (paired with matching leopard print heels, no less), Tunisian model Rym Saidi took over Instagram feeds in her risqué Fendi ensemble, which comprised of a white bikini top, ivory trousers and cosy coat, all paired with the brand’s logo handbag.

And then there were the big runway moments. After opening for Fendi, model Bella Hadid was joined by sister Gigi Hadid at the Moschino show, which celebrated outlandish, whimsical pieces. In case you missed this week’s coolest fashion moments, catch up below.
