After making headlines in a bold red Louis Vuitton dress at the Critics’ Choice Awards, Selena Gomez was spotted in another solid colored number this week. This time serving up summer style inspiration, the actor wore a halter neck dress in soft pink, which is arguably one of the shades she favors the most for music videos and public appearances. Gomez was seen in the dress in a new heartwarming Instagram post—a photo in which she is hugging her younger half-sister Gracie Elliot Teefey, captioned, “Forever my favorite human.”

The star’s Veronica Beard dress, which came in the style Gabriella, featured ruched detailing, an asymmetrical hem, and an oversized bow at the back, and was paired with sparkling Nudistsong heels from Stuart Weitzman. To accessorize the girly piece, Gomez looked to a pair of chunky gold hoops from one of her favorite jewelry brands, Mejuri, co-founded by Jordanian couple Noura Sakkijha and Majed Masad. The 29-year-old’s versatile pair of earrings came from the Toronto-based brand known for its handcrafted gold vermeil pieces. As it turns out, Gomez seems to have become a fan of the label, and was also seen wearing Mejuri’s Daily Hoops while shooting promotional photos for her brand Rare Beauty back in December 2021.

Launched in 2015, Mejuri is a direct-to-consumer fine jewelry brand of daily wear pieces, with limited-edition drops taking place every Monday. “I founded Mejuri because I saw a jewelry industry that was built for men gifting women and not women celebrating themselves,” reads a statement from Sakkijha on the brand’s website. “To me, the truest expression of Mejuri is mutual uplift: all of us supporting each other, and you, our community, feeling empowered to invest in yourself and, in turn, the community around you.”

A staunch supporter of both women’s rights and local fashion, HM Queen Rania chose to champion Jordanian style ahead of International Women’s Day. Alongside His Majesty King Abdullah II, the royal hosted a number of Jordanian women from several governorates for lunch at Al Husseiniya Palace, to highlight the “vital political, economic, and cultural role of women in Jordanian society.”

At the meeting, Queen Rania was spotted wearing a cream-colored thobe by Jordanian designer Eman Al Ahmed, featuring beige and mint-hued embroidery. “I am honored that Her Majesty chose to mark such an important day wearing an Eman Al Ahmed thoub, hand made and embroidered here in Jordan,” says the designer. “Thank you Your Majesty for your support and the support you unwaveringly give to all the women in Jordan.” The modest piece was accessorized with a taupe handbag from another local creative: Dara Hamarneh, a Jordanian designer based between London and Amman. For her footwear, the royal picked cream suede pumps from one of her favorite shoe designers, Jennifer Chamandi from Lebanon. Queen Rania sported her signature beauty look, complementing her elegant ensemble. With her hair parted to the side and worn in big loose waves, the royal’s makeup featured bronzed cheeks and a touch of pink gloss on the cheeks.
