Academy award winning actress Anne Hathaway arrived at the Italian Embassy in Paris sparkling, literally. Adorned in a necklace, bracelet, and ring by Bulgari, the actress was in the French capital to celebrate the new high jewelry collection, Eden, the Garden of Wonder by the Roman house’s creative director Lucia Silvestri. Joining her as faces of the brand were actress Priyanka Chopra and Thai rapper Lisa. Former first lady of France Carla Bruni also appeared at the beginning of the soiree, only to reappear for a surprise appearance on the runway met by cheers by guests.

Bulgari organized a high jewelry show within the Embassy to feature the 140 pieces in the collection. Models dressed in nude-colored dresses, with free-flowing hair appeared like contemporary goddesses adorned with the pieces featuring magnificent gemstones and semi-precious stones.

Afterwards, guests convened in the gardens for a dinner prepared by two-Michelin-starred chefs, French Yannick Alléno and Italian Emanuele Scarello. Sat at tables winding like serpents through grass, under a ceiling dripping with fuchsia flowers, guests enjoyed sea bass and toasted brioche, monkfish with basil and citrus burrata, and veal with capers and fresh lemon, and closed off the evening with a performance by Italian musician Mario Biondi who was joined on-stage by Carla Bruni.

17 Of The Best Vintage Dresses On The Oscars Red Carpet

17 Of The Best Vintage Dresses On The Oscars Red Carpet

With stars often channelling Old Hollywood glamour at the Oscars, it’s no surprise that vintage has been a popular choice on the red carpet over the years. In fact, it could be considered a good-luck charm: Julia Roberts won her Oscar for Best Actress in 2001 while wearing a black and white gown from Valentino’s autumn/winter 1992 couture collection; Reese Witherspoon wore a vintage Dior dress dating back to 1957 when she won Best Actress in 2006; while Penélope Cruz won Best Supporting Actress in 2009 in a 1950s Balmain gown.
Vintage also sends a powerful message from a sustainability perspective, with environmental campaigners Natalie Portman and Jane Fonda among those to have worn pre-loved pieces on the Oscars red carpet.
Below, see 17 of the best vintage dresses at the Oscars to date.

Inside Balenciaga’s Hush-Hush Met Gala After-Party–Where Justin Bieber Performed Once Again

Met gala attendees had their pick of after-parties—or did they? There was the Top of the Standard’s annual soirée, Rihanna did her thing over at 1 Oak, Kerby Jean-Raymond lured everyone to the Brooklyn cheesecake purveyor Junior’s, and LaQuan Smith hosted a bash beneath the Kosciuszko Bridge. But the very luckiest invite to score came courtesy of Balenciaga.
Co-hosted by Balenciaga, Justin Bieber, and Drew House, the celebration took place at Cathedrale in the East Village, which had been fully transformed from restaurant to nightclub with strobe lights and a black jersey textile haphazardly draped and swagged all over the space. The fabric was not dissimilar from the one that Kim Kardashian had fully sheathed herself in hours earlier on the gala’s red carpet—and speaking of Kim, she was there; now in a new Balenciaga getup that was only relatively less modest. (This time her face was on display, if partly shielded by a pair of superhero-esque sunglasses.)
Her sister Kendall Jenner was present, now in a Givenchy mini-dress in scarlet red. And so too was a bevy of Balenciaga-clad guests like Michaela Coel, Isabelle Huppert, Elliot Page, and Justin and Hailey Bieber. It wouldn’t be a Balenciaga party without the house’s mastermind, Demna Gvasalia, who arrived with BFRND. Elsewhere in the room, Kaia Gerber could be seen cozying up with Jacob Elordi in a banquette; Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox circulated the party in twinning emo-ensembles; and Rosé and Olivia Rodrigo sat side by side.
And though most everyone in the room had just seen Justin Bieber perform at the Met, is there such a thing as too much Bieber? Consider this the encore everybody wanted. Sometime after midnight, he took to the stage once again and delivered jazzy renditions of his crowd-pleasing hits “What Do You Mean?” and anthems-on-the-rise “Hold On” and “2 Much.”
It was a high note on which to finish off the night, and a moment that signified a return to celebration for celebration’s sake. New York is back! Can you Belieb it?
