Jennifer Lopez Thinks Pink in Magda Butrym Ruched Dress for ‘Shotgun Wedding’ Press Appearance

Jennifer Lopez has rosettes on her mind.

The actress began promoting Amazon Video’s romantic comedy “Shotgun Wedding” with her costar Josh Duhamel on Wednesday wearing a range of pastel pink hues from top to bottom. Styled by fashion stylist Rob Zangardi, Lopez slipped into a Magda Butrym ruched midi-length dress trimmed with a spiral of detachable rosettes at the neck.

Zangardi shared snippets of her fitting on Instagram, opting to pair the monotoned dress with a leather bubblegum-pink trenchcoat and lace nude sandals.

The Mock Neck midi dress in pink ($1,695) featured ruched detailing at the neckline, along its formfitting under-arm hem and throughout its center back zipper-up silhouette. The dress’s shape was complemented by a sleeveless component and a high-neck seam.

Lopez’s final press look was tied in with a chignon updo and two face-framing strands grazing the rosettes on her dress. Even her nails were painted in pink polish reflective of the day’s colorway.

She accessorized with gold earrings and rings to match her pastel-pink Coach shoulder bag’s golden brass buckle. Lopez was named Coach’s global ambassador in 2019, under the creative direction of Stuart Vevers, and had recently appeared in the brand’s holiday campaign along with Zoey Deutch and more.

As the film gears up to stream worldwide on Amazon Prime on Jan. 27, viewers got a glimpse of what’s to come of it with a trailer release on Wednesday, showcasing Golden Globe recipient Jennifer Coolidge singing. Coolidge will portray the mother of the groom in the film.

Plotted as a destination wedding, Lopez otherwise known as “Darcy,” and Duhamel, characterized as “Tom,” will lead the film as the bride and groom who are taken hostage along with all their wedding attendees. The bridal and comedic theme of the film is not a first for Lopez, who starred in “Monster-in-Law” in 2005 with Jane Fonda and Michael Vartan.

For those craving nostalgic Aughts television, “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County” and “The Hills” are now available for streaming on Netflix. Fans of the reality star and fashion designer Lauren Conrad can now take a walk down memory lane via the TV shows that first put her in the public eye.

With renewed interest in the former MTV reality shows, Google Trends shows a recent surge in interest in Conrad’s brand LC Lauren Conrad. As a former intern at Teen Vogue and Kelly Cutrone’s PR firm People’s Revolution, Conrad leveraged her MTV fame into a namesake lifestyle brand.

It’s been more than 16 years since she appeared on “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County” and 13 years since she appeared on “The Hills.” Since then, Conrad has managed to establish herself as an entrepreneur.

Here, details on what you need to know about LC Lauren Conrad.

When was LC Lauren Conrad founded?

LC Lauren Conrad debuted in 2009. The brand launched as a clothing collection in partnership with Kohl’s. The line was a nod to Conrad’s own personal style that has evolved over the years.

What is Lauren Conrad’s background?

Conrad became a cast member on season one of MTV’s “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County,” a reality television response to the hit Fox show “The OC.” The series followed a group of affluent teenagers growing up in Laguna Beach, California, and the drama surrounding their lives, from relationships to post-high school plans. The show lasted for three seasons from 2004 to 2006.

Conrad was a main cast member of the series. Her father revealed that she first expressed interest in fashion in sixth grade.

When Conrad graduated from high school, she spent one semester at Academy of Art University in San Francisco. After she left “Laguna Beach” in its second season, she transferred to the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles, although she didn’t complete her degree.

What is Lauren Conrad’s fashion experience?

When she moved to Los Angeles, MTV developed a spinoff to Laguna Beach titled “The Hills,” starring Conrad and focusing on her life and work in fashion.

Conrad interned at Teen Vogue and later entered the world of fashion public relations by interning at Kelly Cutrone’s PR firm, People’s Revolution.

When did Lauren Conrad begin her fashion brand?

Conrad’s first fashion line The Lauren Conrad Collection launched in March 2008, but she ended the line due to weak sales figures. After learning more about running a fashion brand, Conrad collaborated with Kohl’s to launch LC Lauren Conrad in 2009.

The Lunar New Year Fashion Collections of 2023 That Celebrate the Year of the Rabbit

The Lunar New Year, otherwise known as Chinese New Year, is set to take place on Jan. 22.

This is the Year of the Rabbit, one of the dozen animals that compose the Chinese zodiac. The rabbit is the fourth animal in the Chinese zodiac and, according to some interpretations, is considered the luckiest of the 12 animals. The rabbit symbolizes mercy, elegance and beauty.

Over the past several years, fashion brands have been influenced by the Lunar New Year to create special capsule collections to commemorate the annual affair. This year, brands ranging from Louis Vuitton to Nike have put a sartorial spin on rabbit symbols for special collections.
