For her big day, the 29-year-old bride chose to honor the heritage of her husband-to-be via her wedding gown, which was designed by Lebanese couturier Elie Saab. The custom-made white number came with full-length sleeves, a voluminous flared-out skirt, and Saab’s signature crystal embellishments all over. Soft waves and fresh, peachy makeup completed her beauty look for the ceremony.

Elie Saab was also the designer behind the dresses worn by the bride’s mother, Marla Maples, and her half-sister and maid of honor, Ivanka Trump. With the wedding’s theme being pastel shades, Maples and Ivanka wore dresses in lilac and light blue colors respectively.”It’s a Lebanese American wedding, so we were so happy to have Elie Saab create the magic,” Maples shared with People magazine. The groom and the men from the Trump family were all dressed in black tuxedos with floral lapels and bow ties.

Pictures from the ceremony see Trump walking with her father down the aisle which was decorated with pastel-hued floral arches. According to People, the family chose the venue as it was “Tiffany’s childhood home and where she was brought into the world.”

Trump announced her engagement to Boulos in January 2021 after he proposed to her in the White House’s Rose Garden with a 13-carat emerald-cut diamond by Lebanese designer Samer Halimeh.

Thompson has already had a lengthy list of standout fashion moments during her time at the Venice Film Festival. Prior to the Venice Film Festival, Thompson had another wave of memorable fashion moments during the press tour for “Thor: Love and Thunder.” She attended multiple premieres for the film, including one in Los Angeles where she wore a gray-blue metallic custom dress from Armani Privé and the London premiere where she wore a gold fringe dress from Oscar de la Renta’s resort 2023 collection.

15 Gorgeous Wedding Gowns From the Fall 2022 Haute Couture Shows

15 Gorgeous Wedding Gowns From the Fall 2022 Haute Couture Shows

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. If you’re currently planning your big day, there’s no way you haven’t already started thinking about all the special elements that will make your wedding day look one to remember. If you’re struggling with zeroing on the perfect bridal gown, however, a great place to look for some inspiration is on the runways of this season’s haute couture showcases.
The Fall 2022 shows had Alexis Mabille, Chanel and Dior making a case for pared-down bridal wear via pastel folk-style embroidery, universally flattering cuts (think mermaid silhouettes, high-low summer-ready hems, and sweet A-line pieces), and easy fabrics. While the strapless wedding-ready maxi at Chanel was topped off with a matching stole and ivory bow on the head, Dior’s models styled their romantic ensembles with barely-there makeup and soft low ponytails.
For the bride who’s up for a sartorial experiment, there was no missing Antonio Grimaldi’s sculpted silhouettes, which brought together unconventional necklines, cut-out detailing, and for accessories, jewels that ran from the top of the head down to the chin for that extra dose of drama. The not-so-basic bridal trend also found itself spotlighted on Rome’s Spanish Steps, where Pierpaolo Piccioli sent out a slinky white gown, complete with thigh-high slit, hidden metallic bustier, and black bows at the Valentino show. Over at Giambattista Valli, another conversation-starter piece was a feather-trimmed, semi-sheer bodycon number that enveloped the model’s shoulders in a larger-than-life snowy white bow.
Love it or hate it, there’s no denying the fact that the one bridal trend that never seems to fade away is the more-is-more gown—and Fall 2022’s haute couture shows serve as proof. At Zuhair Murad’s presentation, a sparkling strapless gown doused in stars closed the show, while Rami Al Ali added a little color to the mix with a blush pink sequined number trimmed with pleated ruffles. Elie Saab’s bride walked the runway in a gold gown complete with matching veil and embellished bouquet, Balenciaga presented an equally dramatic bejeweled gown in shades of ivory and silver, and Dolce & Gabbana replaced traditional veils with a headpiece that’s not for the faint-hearted.

Elie Saab’s Latest Paris Fashion Week Showcase Proves That There Is Always a First Time for Everything

Elie Saab’s Latest Paris Fashion Week Showcase Proves That There Is Always a First Time for Everything

Photo: Gorunway.com
Beside celebrating his birthday few days ago, Mr. Saab celebrated another milestone yesterday during his haute couture show. Surprisingly, the fall/winter collection looked like no other. For the first time in the history of the brand, the Lebanese couturier showed eight men’s silhouettes. The Elie Saab man is as elegant as the Saab woman. Modern, strong, imperial and impeccably sophisticated, in swaths of rich fabric, velvet capes embroidered in gold thread over double breasted suits.

On the other hand, the spirited Saab women, straight out of a tribe, were dressed in sumptuous fabrics marvelously overlapped with intricately embellished embroideries. Think ethereal hues, opulent textures, and curvaceous lines. Interesting cuts and embroidery techniques and volumes, that were somehow new for the eyes of the Saab clientele. Each awe-inspiring silhouette personified the power and grace of the ever-changing setting sun.
Enveloped in mystery, Elie Saab Haute Couture Fall Winter 22- 23 is captivating, exhibiting a brilliant allure that captures the eye in a unique moment where everything is familiar, yet nothing is quite as it seems. As light gently flows into dark, there is breath for the enchanted.
At a Saab show it’s always where the real and imaginary are one.

Below, check out some of the most exciting ensembles from Elie Saab’s show.

Rita Ora chose all-out sequins in an Elie Saab dress to make a statement on the red carpet yesterday at the Thor: Love and Thunder London premiere this week. The British singer accompanied the film’s director and her rumored fiancé Taika Waititi at the Odeon Luxe in Leicester Square, dressed in a dazzling couture number by the Lebanese designer.
Picked from the Beirut-based label’s Spring 2022 couture collection by stylist Karen Langley, Ora’s look made a case for classic red carpet glamour as it came dripping in silver embellishment. The long-sleeved piece featured a plunging neckline and metallic fringes all over the flattering skirt which came with a thigh-high slit. The former Vogue Arabia cover star accessorized the dress with silver platform pumps and dainty necklace earrings, shown off via a sleek high bun.

Elie Saab happens to be a red carpet favorite of Ora, who has been spotted wearing the brand’s sumptuous pieces on a number of occasions. Earlier this year, the 31-year-old attended the 2022 Critics’ Choice Awards with Waititi, wearing another couture dress by Elie Saab, but this time, in maroon velvet with bold cut-outs. The brand was also favored by the actor at the 70th Cannes Film Festival, where she wore a beaded floor-grazing dress from Elie Saab’s 2017 couture collection.

Tara Emad is bringing her unique brand of cool girl style to Madrid and championing Arab designers at the same time. The Egyptian actor is currently in the Spanish city for the unveiling of Cartier’s new high jewelry collection, and making the most of the sun-drenched weather in uplifting outfits.
For her first stop, the Suits Arabia star stepped out in a yellow mini skirt, paired with a knee-length coat style top by Lebanese designer Georges Hobeika. The statement piece came with a lapel collar and tufts of feathers at the elbows, which struck the right balance between professional and playful. A pair of nude stilettos and a chrome clutch completed her look.

After momentarily slipping into a romantic strappy red dress during the day, Emad later made a showstopping appearance in a white gown by Elie Saab. Emad sat front row for the jewelry presentation wearing a flowy one-shoulder dress with bow detailing at the sleeve, and a sultry cut-out at the waist above a thigh-high slit. Stylists Maissa and Sahar Azab accessorized her look with a metallic choker and earrings with red stones, and a silver box clutch and white heels from Jimmy Choo.

While Emad wore her hair down in a pin-straight style for her first appointment in Madrid, she later wore it in a sleek bun to complement the Elie Saab number, with blushed cheeks and a matte red pout for her makeup look.

Lady Gaga Wore a Custom Elie Saab Dress for Her Emotional Grammys Performance

Photo: Instagram.com
While the Oscars saw plenty of stars in Arab designers on the red carpet, Lady Gaga took regional talent to the stage at the Grammy Awards last night. After walking into the event in an asymmetrical black and white Armani Privé gown, the star slipped into a custom Elie Saab dress for her performance.
The singer was introduced via video by Tony Bennett, the iconic musician to whom Gaga paid a touching tribute. Taking the stage to sing ‘Love for Sale’ and ‘Do I Love You’ from her album Love for Sale, which she recorded with Bennett, Gaga was dressed in a mint blue satin dress paired with matching metallic pumps appropriate for the jazz performance. The bespoke strapless piece designed by the Lebanese couturier captured the Old Hollywood vibe Gaga is known to have embraced as of late and featured a bodice wrapped in layers of fabric, a flared-out skirt, and an oversized bow at the back. Sporting the same hairstyle from her red carpet appearance, Gaga’s blonde locks were pulled back in a classic updo with waves, while her makeup look was completed with glowing skin and glossy pink lips.

This marks the second time when the 36-year-old has championed Arab talent during this year’s awards season. Accepting the New York Film Critics Circle Awards for best actress for her work in House of Gucci last month, Gaga wore a pair of Yigit pumps from Jordanian-Romanian footwear designer Amina Muaddi’s namesake label.
Gaga’s tear-jerking performance at the Grammys was accompanied by five nominations which she shared with Bennett. The singer also has a busy year ahead, with a continuation of her Jazz and Piano residency in Vegas, followed by her long-awaited Chromatica ball tour starting on July 17 in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Son Yejin and Hyun Bin have tied the knot today, as confirmed by the agencies of the Korean stars. The couple, known for playing each other’s love interest in the hit show Crash Landing on You, got married on March 31 in a private ceremony held in Aston House, Grand Walkerhill Hotel, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
The official announcement was made by Bin’s management, Vast Entertainment, via two photos of the couple, wearing different outfits in each. In one, Yejin can be seen wearing a gown picked from the Spring 2022 Bridal collection of Elie Saab, the Lebanese designer known for his dreamy pieces. This particular one from the couturier features a sleeveless, fully embellished bodice, lightly cinched at the waist with a delicate belt, and a puffy tulle skirt embroidered with a spattering of petals. Wearing minimal makeup, Yejin’s hair is tied back in an elegant low bun, with a few loose curls framing her face. The photo also sees Bin standing next to the smiling bride, holding her hand, and wearing a silk Tom Ford suit with a cream-colored blazer, black pants, cummerbund, and a bowtie.

For those who have kept up with the couple’s on-screen-turned-off-screen relationship, the selection of the princess-style wedding dress must come as no surprise, especially given Yejin’s announcement of their engagement. Posted on February 10, the actor’s confirmation of the happy news described their relationship as a fairytale-like story. “Boy meets girl, recognizes each other in the crowd, promises to build a future together…” read the post. “It happened so naturally… But, isn’t that destiny?”

In the second, more formal, picture, the couple stand against a backdrop of pink and white roses, once again holding hands and wearing matching white ensembles. This time going for a modern design, Yejin is wearing the Camellia wedding dress from Vera Wang‘s Bridal Spring 2022 collection. While the top features a one-shoulder corseted bodice with wrappings of tulle, the skirt also comes with a delicate layer of the same fabric on top of lace. For this look, the bride swapped the bun for a half-up-half-down hairstyle adorned with a floral band.

The 2022 Academy Awards took place on Sunday with a greater sense of normalcy compared to the past few years’ ceremonies, calling for noteworthy red carpet style. And who better than designers from the Arab world to deliver just that on Hollywood’s biggest night?
Representing the region was Raya Abirached, who trusted the sartorial power of a sophisticated black gown for her attendance. The presenter’s dress for the evening was picked from fellow Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad‘s Pre-Fall 2022 collection, and featured a strapless corseted bodice that flowed into a pleated skirt made with gleaming silk mikado. Put together by celebrity stylist Cedric Haddad, Abirached’s outfit also came with dazzling jewelry from Bulgari, which she showed off by wearing her hair pulled back in a sleek ponytail.

Regional talent was also favored by international stars Venus Williams, Chrissy Teigen, and Mila Kunis. While professional tennis player Williams chose a custom white Elie Saab gown, Kunis went the couture route in a gown from Zuhair Murad’s Spring/Summer 2022 couture collection. The rose-colored silk dress featured a ruched one-shoulder bodice, built-in belt, and a long train attached to a fitted skirt.

Making an appearance at the Vanity Fair after-party with husband and singer John Legend, Teigen looked to one of her favorite Arab designers. The model wore a grey-colored number by Georges Hobeika. The one-shoulder dress was adorned with sparkling embellishment and came with an asymmetrical skirt that featured a short hem on one leg and a floor-grazing one on the other.

Sandra Bullock Swaps Her Elie Saab Couture Gown for a Cold-Shoulder Jumpsuit to Promote The Lost City

Sandra Bullock Swaps Her Elie Saab Couture Gown for a Cold-Shoulder Jumpsuit to Promote The Lost City

Currently promoting her new film, The Lost City, Sandra Bullock‘s work wardrobe features one of her favorite Arab designers. The Academy Award-winning actor appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden earlier this week, and was dressed in an Elie Saab number.
Photo: CBS
Foregoing dresses and gowns, the star opted for a jumpsuit instead, picked from the Lebanese couturier’s Pre-Fall 2022 collection, which proved to be just right for the late-night, sit-down TV appearance. Bullock’s jumpsuit of choice was no ordinary one too. The black cold-shoulder style piece came with sparkling crystals along its closed neckline, sleeves, and on the sides of its oversized bottoms. Paired with the piece was equally sophisticated footwear—a pair of black boots with pointed toes and heels.

While this marks the second time the 57-year-old has worn an outfit by Elie Saab to promote the film, it is a contrast from the first look she sported. Bullock attended the LA premiere of The Lost City wearing a pink organza and silk tulle gown from the designer’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection, boldly paired with black thigh-high boots and a matching cropped jacket. Elie Saab is also a clear red carpet favorite of the star—Bullock wore the couturier’s dazzling pieces at the Oscars in 2013, and later, at the Ocean’s 8 premiere in 2018.
