From canary yellow to Barbie pink, Yasmine Sabri‘s expansive closet seems to have a dress in every hue. And her latest pick proves that there’s no color the Egyptian beauty can’t carry off seamlessly.
For a public appearance recently, Yasmine Sabri opted for a romantic ankle-grazing gown in a striking shade of royal blue. Crafted using rich velvet, the actor’s dress came with an asymmetrical off-shoulder neckline and a body-hugging silhouette. Hundreds of gathers along the bodice of the dress added texture to the look. Sabri shared a glimpse of the look on her official Instagram page by posting a video of her getting ready for the big event. Take a closer look at the video below.

Yasmine Sabri styled her blue velvet gown with delicate diamond jewelry
Given the bold shade of her dress, Yasmine Sabri chose to accentuate her look with delicate jewelry instead of chunky accessories. Her picks? A skinny diamond and gemstone choker, which she wore with a matching bracelet and earrings. To add a little more sparkle to her ensemble, the actor opted for a stack of bracelets on her other hand as well. We spotted a Cartier bangle and two tennis bracelets. As for her beauty look for the evening, Yasmine Sabri recreated her go-to: a sweet romantic look in shades of pink. The star accentuated her doe eyes with a rosy smoky eye and lush lashes, and completed the look with soft pink lips. Glossy side-swept waves added the final touch.

Yasmine Sabri has always been a force to be reckoned with. The Egyptian beauty is known and loved across the region for a multitude of reasons including her irresistible gravitas on and off camera. Among these reasons is her impeccable sense of style showcased everywhere from social media to red carpets. Most recently, the star took to Instagram to serve her signature sartorial inspiration as she made the case for black minimalism.

As everyone gravitates towards brighter colors for summer and whispers of a maximalist revolution in fashion hang in the air, Sabri opted to go against the crowd in a simple black dress from Saint Laurent. The sleeveless bodycon painted a fierce silhouette while the choice of color lent a timeless allure to her outfit. She completed the ensemble with a Dolce & Gabbana Sicily bag in a charming powder pink and Gianvito Rossi Elle Mule heels.

Her beauty look remains minimal with the exception of dramatic lashes but the most noticeable is certainly her hair. Styled by Ahmed Mounir, Sabri’s hair is pulled back into a long braid reminiscent of Kim Kardashian on the Vogue Arabia September 2019 cover. Chunky gold hoops complement the slicked style while gold bangles and bracelets adorn her wrists. The look is all about minimalism with an edge, and it’s safe to say that Sabri has mastered it.

With the Holy Month comes an undeniably festive feeling. Evenings get brighter, and Arab entertainment booms with Ramadan specials. One of the most awaited? Yasmine Sabri‘s Eid Al-Fitr blockbuster Abu Al-Nasab, a comedy film co-starring Egyptian actor Mohamed Imam, and directed by Rami Imam. All set for her return to the big screen, the star gears up for her comeback with not one, but three Vogue Arabia covers for our April 2023 issue.
The cover shoot, which highlight’s Sabri’s iconic beauty, was shot against projections of magnificent creatures with a cover line tagging her as a “force of nature”, and rightly so. Over her career, the Egyptian beauty has carved a strong niche for herself, and this month, she opens up about her childhood and how it prepared her for the public stage. “My grandma raised me well, her manner turned me into a disciplined teenage girl who didn’t commit many mistakes,” Sabri shares fondly. “I’m a woman born to be in front of the camera and be under the spotlight.”

The April 2023 issue also amplifies the importance of family bonds during the Holy Month. In our Families of Ramadan section, Somali Canadian model Sabrina Elba poses with mother Maryam Egal as the two talk about their special relationship. “The greatest lesson I’ve learned from my mother is to use my voice. Growing up as a Black woman, you feel quite stunted all the time. I never felt encouraged in work, in school, in life, and it was my mom encouraging me and reminding me that it’s a privilege to be able to use your voice, having gone through a period where people were silenced, particularly women,” she shares. As for Egyptian sports couple Nouran Gohar—who is currently squash world number one—and husband, fencing champion Ziad Elsissy, this month of introspection only results in more gratitude. “It’s the hardest month of the year for training, but we love it,” says Elsissy. “Ramadan in Egypt is so much fun. The family gatherings, praying at the mosque, the desserts. We’d want to pass everything down to our future children. Wherever we decide to live, we want to raise them to be like us, goal-oriented, proud Egyptians.” Another duo that shares a peek into their world? Mayada Badr, CEO of the Saudi Culinary Arts commission, and her sister Alanoud Badr, the much-loved influencer and presenter. “To me Ramadan is all about ‘Al Jamaa,’ the gathering of the family,” says Mayada, while Alanoud adds, “As Saudis we are known to be extremely generous. We just cannot wait to open our houses to everyone, we want to share our food, we want to share everything.”

No celebratory time is truly complete without food. While the Holy Month focuses on self-improvement and abstaining from indulgence, it’s also a time of celebrating the culture and cuisines that make the Middle East unique. Cue Shadin Hamdan, the 25-year-old Palestinian-American baker who is preserving—you may even say promoting—the very DNA of Palestinian culture with her Kanafa Cups business. “We’re all human and we all love food. What better way to share our own cultures than through our food?” she tells Vogue Arabia. “My best friend is Italian and had never heard of kanafah. Then tried it and loved it; her family too. She’s a teacher now and she knows about Ramadan. She had one student fasting and she asked her if she was celebrating Eid. That student’s face lit up because her teacher wasn’t Arab or Muslim, but she understood what Eid was. Growing up I didn’t have that. I said to her, ‘Do you know what you just did? That kid is going to go home and tell her parents that her teacher understood what Eid was. That’s going to mean the world to them because it’s still not spoken about here.’”
While some families use this special time to celebrate, many in the region are still getting back on their feet in the wake of a civil war, and a natural disaster. This month, Vogue Arabia touches base with six pioneering women and men of Syrian heritage—fashion designers Maya Chantout and Moulham Obid, jewelry designer Dania Haffar, film director Soudade Kaadan, artist Diana Al-Hadid, and Inara NGO founder Arwa Damon—about their memories of their homeland, and how their professions are keeping Syria alive in the world’s heart. In a candid conversation about her country, former war correspondent Damon puts things into perspective, saying, “The response to Ukraine from global leaders, from individuals, and from the media is the way we should be responding to each and every single crisis, tragedy, war, and natural disaster that happens.”
Of course, we couldn’t leave you without a healthy dose of fashion inspiration for the most special time of the year, and this month, Moroccan designer Sara Chraibi takes us behind-the-scenes of her debut Paris Couture Week collection, which showcased the power of her North African roots. Replete with intricate braided details, pearl embellishment, and indulgent velvet elements, Chraibi’s latest offerings used the ‘Sfifa’ weaving technique or ‘Moroccan embroidery’ to create a new fabric steeped in tradition. In her words, “I aspire to fashion that can make women beautiful as they are. Today fashion can only be enriched by its diversity.”

Also on our radar this month? Vogue Arabia’s edit of the most exciting kaftans—think OTT embellishment, dramatic ruffles, and rich jewel tones—to the boldest eye makeup trends, as seen on Emirati filmmaker Sarah Alhashimi. Take cues now!

Nicolas Jebran‘s show-stopping designs have long been a red carpet favorite of stars, including Yasmine Sabri and Cyrine Abdelnour, who championed the Lebanese couturier just last night. Making an appearance at the closing gala of the 2022 Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, both actors chose glamorous numbers made by the Beirut-born designer.
Sabri embraced the festive season in a sheer, form-flattering burgundy gown, which was covered entirely in Jebran’s signature sequined embroidery, and elevated with long pieces of tulle extending from the sleeves down to the hem. Stylist Carole Bou Khaled paired the glittering dress with a black clutch and stilettos, while the diamond earrings and ring worn by the Cartier ambassador naturally came from the French jeweler. The evening saw the former Vogue Arabia cover star switch up her usual wavy hair for a sleek and long ponytail to complement her soft glam, courtesy of makeup artist Shariff Tanyous.

As for Abdelnour, the Lebanese actor channeled an edgier persona with an all-black ensemble styled by Cedric Haddad. The velvet gown featured a corset-like bodice with metallic detailing, which flowed into a voluminous bottom. The highlight? Black velvet gloves that pulled the entire vampy ensemble together. Abdelnour complemented it all by wearing her hair in a short style, and sporting a black graphic eyeliner with a warm nude pout.

Jebran was also the designer of choice for many other stars at the film festival, with Indian actor Priyanka Chopra opting for a sunshine yellow satin gown, and Tunisian model Rym Saidi wearing a black netted piece from the fashion house’s FW23 couture collection.

Trust Yasmine Sabri to serve up yet another look that perfectly walks the line between sharp and glamorous dressing. The Egyptian actor, whose personal style is known to feature double-breasted jackets, blazers, and a number of smart pieces, recently showed off a new statement look on Instagram.
Photo: Instagram.com/yasmine_sabri
Posing for a series of photos presumably taken on set during a work day, Sabri wore cream-colored separates designed by Nicolas Jebran. The outfit is one of the Lebanese couturier’s less sparkly designs, thus making it right up the actor’s alley for a daytime on-duty look. While the top, which followed the silhouette of a blazer, came with one sleeve off-the-shoulder and a flattering wrap detail, its highlight was the long piece of fabric extending into a floor-grazing cape, which was offset by narrow trousers. The result: a look that seemed to blend all the power of a sharp pantsuit with the elegance of a dreamy white red carpet gown. The former Vogue Arabia cover star completed the look with her signature bold red lip, dramatic lashes, slick bun, and a blush pink manicure. For accessories, the Cartier ambassador looked to the Love bracelet and a pair of flattened metallic hoops.

It’s safe to say that Sabri is having an eventful end of the year, having made stops in Paris for the Balmain show and later in Qatar for the Fashion Trust Arabia awards ceremony. Although the actor did not reveal what she had been filming, fans can expect to see the outfit in an upcoming project. Until then, a sneak peek via the ensemble is enough to inspire work wardrobes this season.

Last night, fashion enthusiasts across France—nay, the world—came together for Balmain’s Spring/Summer 2023 presentation at Paris Fashion Week. The outdoor showcase at the Stade Jean-Bouin arena, which ended on a high note with the appearance of musical icon Cher on the runway, saw Olivier Rousteing send out his rendition of a more environmentally conscious collection that burst with playful prints and earthy hues, many crafted using banana peels, fallen wood and raffia. And among the many famous faces spotted in the audience was a Middle Eastern favorite, Egyptian actor Yasmine Sabri.
Sabri, who seems to have flown in to the fashion capital specifically to catch her favorite shows, spent her day prior to Balmain’s show prepping for the big moment. In a very special photo series, the star gave Vogue Arabia access to her hotel suite to follow her through the day, which started, of course, in a cozy king size bed loaded with outfit options.
Having had her makeup done for the day in her signature look—glossy lips, peaches and cream skin, bold brows and lush lashes—Sabri found herself spoilt for choice when it came to her Balmain ensemble of the day, finally opting for a fail-safe aesthetic: head-to-toe black. Her pick: a classic black Balmain blazer with the brand’s signature gold buttons, paired with the fashion house’s very much on-trend black leather pantaboots. Her jewelry of choice included an edgy gold chain, her favorite diamond earrings, and a delicate ring.
Once ready, the actor posed for the shutterbugs in her sprawling hotel room, did a last minute makeup check, and then made her way across the bustling streets of Paris to the venue that was brimming with Balmain fans for a night to remember.

Madrid is once again witnessing global star power as Cartier invites friends of the house over to celebrate its new high jewelry collection. Representing the region is Yasmine Sabri—the jeweler’s first Middle Eastern ambassador—with two stunning looks by an Arab designer in tow. The Egyptian actor’s first pick for the occasion was designed by Lebanese couturier Nicolas Jebran, whose form-flattering and dazzling pieces have long found a fan in Sabri.

Pictured mingling with fellow Cartier ambassadors and acclaimed actors Deepika Padukone, Rami Malek, and Annabelle Wallis, Sabri wore a bright red dress from the Beirut-based fashion house. The figure-hugging number came with a statement off-shoulder neckline in a zig-zag pattern, ruched detailing on the bodice, and a side slit. A sparkling ruby and diamond necklace, and earrings by Cartier were naturally the ideal choice of jewelry to go with her look.

During her Madrid trip, the former Vogue Arabia cover star was also seen arriving for lunch wearing another Nicolas Jebran creation, styled by Carole Bou Khaled. The couture gown came in a fuchsia pink hue, with full sleeves, and a floor-grazing hem, while Jebran’s signature silhouette and all-over pink studs elevated the piece. Her makeup for the day, courtesy of Lebanese artist Shariff Tanyous, featured a neutral glam with defined lashes and a nude lip. Overall, the perfect pick for a summer afternoon in Spain.

Just days after sources confirmed her divorce from ex-husband Ex-Husband Ahmed Abu Hashima, Yasmine Sabri has jet-setted to Mauritius for what seems to be a solo trip. Earlier today, the star took to Instagram to share snippets from her holiday, with the first few including lush views and a picture of her enjoying coffee and fresh coconut water by the sea. Her most recent update, a series of snapshots at the One&Only Le Saint Géran, shows the Egyptian actor exploring the beautiful property in a summer-ready ensemble. Take a closer look below.

Yasmine Sabri complemented her one-shoulder gown with delicate jewelry
In her latest post, Yasmine Sabri was seen enjoying some downtime in Mauritius, dressed in an outfit that was equal parts striking and comfortable. Her pick: a one-shoulder maxi dress in ultramarine blue, which came with an oversized bow-style tie-up on the shoulder, and knife pleats along its skirt. While Sabri wore this look for an afternoon outdoors, one can easily see her outfit working at an evening do.
Given that she is currently in a tropical location, Sabri played up the theme of her holiday with her ensemble by styling her blue gown with a pearl necklace. She also opted for stacked bracelets in gold, and completed her look with tan flats and a large white sun hat. Instead of leaving her locks open, the actor posed for pictures sporting a slicked back bun with a neat side part.
Whether you have a big brunch coming up or are planning a getaway with family, a breezy gown like Yasmine Sabri’s promises to come handy. Why not take the plunge today?

Yasmine Sabri color-blocked her green sweater with a purple watch
Seen enjoying a meal while away from work, Yasmine Sabri took to Instagram to share a snippet from her day off dressed in a classic V-neck cardigan, which came in a striking shade of emerald green. The star wore the warm layer of a crisp white shirt for a preppy effect, but also played up the drama of her ensemble by way of accessories.
Instead of pairing her statement cardigan with neutral pieces, Sabri opted for a little color-blocking by styling her emerald green top with a bold purple wristwatch. Adding to the color wheel were her scarlet nails. To complete the holiday look, the actor went with some of her favorite jewelry pieces: diamond stud earrings, and sparkling diamond rings. As for her beauty look, Sabri opted for au naturel makeup and lightly blowdried locks, which she left open.
While summer is just around the corner, if you are planning a  wintery getaway, a cardigan in a bold hue like Yasmine Sabri’s promises to elevate just about any look in your suitcase. Why not invest in a similar layer today?

Photo: Instagram.com/yasmine_sabri
Yasmine Sabri has jetted to New York with her covetable style in tow. The city, which is currently experiencing freezing temperatures and still buzzing from the star-studded fashion week, calls for noteworthy winter style and the Egyptian actor is delivering the same during her time there.

After sharing her arrival in NYC with her 18.1 million followers in a head-to-toe black outfit, the star continued the rest of her trip in a laid-back yet sophisticated look. In her photo taken at a restaurant, Sabri is all smiles, wearing a staple black button-down blouse. To keep warm, she replaced her usually favored double-breasted blazers and jackets with a shawl, while indulging in a bit of logomania. The wrap from Louis Vuitton featured two-toned panels of gold and cream and the French fashion house’s signature monogram all over. Sabri matched the piece with gold bling in the form of a chain-link choker, diamond stud earrings, and a rainbow Hublot watch.

With her hair worn down in natural waves and parted to the side, the actor sported minimal makeup, going for an effortless beauty look. On her way there, the star’s travel look featured another all-black outfit. She could be seen posing on the plane wearing a wide-neck Dior top over skinny pants topped with knee-high boots. To elevate the monochrome ensemble, the actor picked a bright red Hermès Kelly, and the same Hublot watch.
