Trust Rym Saidi to put a bold spin on the women’s suit, which is fast becoming one of fall’s hottest looks. While in Milan for fashion week, the Tunisian model and street style star attended the Etro show wearing a striking ensemble from the fashion house, while also making a case for another season favorite: plaid.

Saidi wore a yellow and black checkered suit featuring a cropped blazer and straight-legged trousers. For a touch of edginess, the mother-of-two broke up the coordinated look and nailed transitional dressing with a black strappy bralette peeking through the jacket. Black-heeled boots, sunglasses, and a box clutch by Dolce & Gabbana completed her look while gold accessories in the form of a chainlink choker, layered necklaces, and a watch added just the right amount of bling to her daytime ensemble. To complement the business-meets-pleasure outfit, Saidi wore her hair in a slicked-back bun, and topped off her otherwise low-key makeup look with a matte red lip.
Saidi is one of many celebrities embracing sleek tailoring this fall, as Olivia Wilde, Ana de Armas, Karlie Kloss, and more were all spotted in versions of the powerful yet ultra-feminine pantsuit this month. If ‘boss woman’ is what you want to emulate this season, one can’t go wrong with taking a page out of their style books.

Dua Lipa’s Black and Bejeweled Suit is the Perfect Formal Going-Out Piece

Dua Lipa’s Black and Bejeweled Suit is the Perfect Formal Going-Out Piece

The typical good suit is a lot of things (chic, understated, and professional being key buzzwords), but you likely don’t think of it as a glitzy going-out piece, right? Wrong! As Dua Lipa proved this week, a tailored two-piece is totally dazzling—as long as it’s covered in jewels. In a series of Instagram fit pics posted this morning, the star served up her take on suiting, and it has us rethinking our approach entirely.

In between rehearsals for her ongoing Future Nostalgia tour, Lipa snapped some photos in a blingy suit from Jacquemus’s spring 2020 collection (the designer, Simon Porte Jacquemus, was right by her side). With dangling crystals covering the entirety of it, the design felt surprisingly formal and ready for a party. The way she styled it helped, too. Lipa paired it with big blue earrings and crystal-studded mules.

Now, sure, throwing on statement jewelry can always take a look from day to night—but why sport diamond accessories for a night on the town when you can rock an entirely-bejeweled outfit? Stars like Lipa and Miley Cyrus are already on board with the uber-glamorous suit, as are labels like Tom Ford and Versace. It’s safe to say we officially are now, too.

Fatima AlBanawi’s Oversized Pastel Suit by This Saudi Designer Is the Ideal Business-Meets-Pleasure Look

Women’s suits are back stronger than ever, and Fatima AlBanawi has made an inspiring contribution to the trend. While a fitted one does turn many heads (think: Zendaya at the Vanity Fair’s 2022 Oscar After-Party), an oversized one is just what you need to look polished yet playful this summer, especially when worn in a color like AlBanawi’s pick.
The pastel blue pieces worn by the actor and filmmaker were made by fellow Saudi Arwa Al Banawi, the designer who is known for her women’s looks rendered with cool masculine details. The oversized blazer came with a lapel collar and rolled-up sleeves to reveal contrasting white cuffs, and the trousers featured a straight, wide-legged shape. To balance the baggy silhouette out, AlBanawi paired the suit with a fitted taupe crew neck t-shirt and pointed-toe Jimmy Choo heels in the same color, and kept accessories to a minimum with gold earrings, a small metallic clutch, and a couple of cuff bracelets.

The former Vogue Arabia cover star was photographed in the noteworthy look while in Dubai, standing by the Burj Khalifa. The Paranormal star was also seen with Saudi presenter Sarah Dundarawy in the post, in which she hinted at making her way to the emirate very soon.
