Out with the minis and in with the oversized. Street stylers were looking for practicality when it came to their bags at the fall 2023 shows. The real fashion month winner was a multitasking tote that can fit your work computer, your plus-sized iPhone, an extra pair of shoes, and even a quick change of clothes for the cameras. For a statement-making look, try out a Jackie bag with some grommet detailing—just make sure that nothing small slips out of it. Duffels, clutches, and baguettes were among the other show-season go-tos.

New Mom Rihanna Wore an Edgy Jean Paul Gaultier Corset for a Dinner Date With A$AP Rocky

It’s safe to say that Rihanna changed the maternity dressing game forever with her bump-baring looks. Since giving birth to her son, the pop sensation is (obviously) continuing her style streak. Together with her partner, A$AP Rocky, the pair has proved that parenthood doesn’t mean you can’t be über chic.
Spotted on a date in New York City, Rihanna and A$AP served enviable style in sleek co-ordinating ensembles. RiRi wore a navy silk satin cone-bra corset top with matching figure-hugging leggings from Jean Paul Gaultier’s capsule collection with mega stylist Lotta Volkova, a black full-length leather trench, navy point-toe pumps, black square-frame shades and a black satin Dior Saddle bag.

A$AP, on the other hand, opted for a cobalt-blue shorts suit by Raf Simons, a white graphic T-shirt, black aviator wrap-around sunglasses and a pair of black and white Oxford brogues worn with white socks.

7 Street Style Trends to Steal From the Fall 2022 Haute Couture Shows

7 Street Style Trends to Steal From the Fall 2022 Haute Couture Shows

Summer is here, and while it’s usually true that hemlines get shorter, outfits get sheerer, and the layers come off, couture attendees in Paris played against type. Rather than familiar warm weather staples, we saw head-to-toe black tailored suits and designer denim paired with crisp button-downs, and in place of the Miu Miu minis at the fall ready-to-wear shows, skirts dropped to sensible midi-lengths. But the glam wasn’t completely gone from the streets. Sequined dresses, silver metallics, and blinged-out accessories were also in the mix, and some showgoers embraced the drama of opera gloves and unconventional face coverings–it was couture week, after all.
Below, check out seven of the coolest street style trends spotted at haute couture fashion week.

Head-to-toe black tailoring was the go-to look for showgoers this season. Who said fashion shows are not serious business?

Art Basel Miami is always a buzzy, well-attended event, but the week has taken on new significance following the death of Virgil Abloh. The designer’s last show for Louis Vuitton was staged at the city’s Maritime Marina on Tuesday night. With a moving speech from Vuitton CEO Michael Burke and ‘Virgil Was Here’ written across the sky in lights, it was a poignant start to the festival. Here’s hoping Abloh’s legacy of supporting young talent is still reverberating through the city, with art world leaders and fans in town to discover the next great emerging artists.
That it’s the first in-person Art Basel Miami since 2019 only adds to the excitement. Local photographer Giovanni Mourin is zig-zagging between galleries and shows to document the scene; scroll through his latest photos below, and come back for his daily updates.

The Model-Approved Ways to Wear a Vintage or Vegan Leather Jacket

The Model-Approved Ways to Wear a Vintage or Vegan Leather Jacket

Mona Tougaard. Photo: Acielle/Style Du Monde
At just 18 years old, Danish model Mona Tougaard is already something of a runway veteran. The latest catwalk entry on her impressive CV? Storming Versace’s vertical maze as part of the house’s FW21 unveiling, alongside Adut Akech, Bella Hadid and Irina Shayk.
Off the runway, the ascendant fashion star’s personal wardrobe is also brimming with covetable style cues. Take the faux-croc coat she sported between socially distanced appointments at Paris Fashion Week (teamed with a Mulberry knit, low-slung flares, sparkling white sneakers and Prada’s geometric bucket hat).
Tougaard isn’t alone in her love of the cruelty-free leather topper. The brightest new model faces from Milan and Paris are likewise backing the wear-anywhere staple as 2021’s ultimate transitional outerwear — pairing everything from vintage car coats to polished trench coats and oversized vegan shirts with pinstripe suiting, inky bell-bottoms and slouchy checked skater pants.
Whether you’re looking for ways to reinvigorate the jacket you already own or scouring Depop for fresh, pre-loved options, we’ve got you covered.
This is Vogue’s guide to wearing vintage and vegan ‘leather’ jackets now, with a little help from our favorite model friends.

Embrace longline

Our key takeaway from Paris’s street-style roundup? Don’t shy away from the drama of a calf-grazing vintage leather silhouette. If you’re looking for ways to re-energise your well-worn 501s, the oversized proportions of a wrap or ‘princess’ coat will do the trick. Just add loafers and pristine white socks.
The vegan ‘leather’ blazer you already own is still it

There’s literally nothing to dislike about a cruelty-free ‘leather’ blazer (foremost the practical pockets), but the right cut is key. Look out for slightly oversized fits — take your measurements when you’re wearing a chunky sweatshirt to guarantee a size that you can cinch in with a belt over eveningwear or lightweight shirting and team with a knit for casual everyday outings. We’re also fully here for how good a modish blazer looks with bare legs and chunky boots (a rollover from 2019 that we’re not saying bye to anytime soon) in Milan’s early spring sunshine.
Work a car coat

Imagine a shortish trench coat that skims the body like a blazer and hits about the same length as a miniskirt — that’s the car coat. A fully genderless vintage cut that makes everything from a Brandy Melville sweater vest to Nike sweatshorts look as intentional as a Tarantino costume department moodboard. Wear it with classic black Dr Martens, wear it with dad slacks, wear it with striped cotton pyjama bottoms. You do you.
Shirting

Chances are you already own a cruelty-free ‘leather’ shirt. The ultimate transitional layer is paying dividends in easy-to-pull-together looks for the days when you don’t want to think about what you’re going to wear. Our 2021 update? A sorbet-pink polo neck and high-waisted wide-leg jeans.
