A wedding dress might not be everyone’s first choice for an award show, but Selena Gomez‘s style credentials allowed the star to make a statement in just that at last night’s Emmy Awards.
Gomez looked radiant in a white halter neck dress from Rotate, while once again making a case for sequins, the season’s glitziest trend, as well as the unofficial dress code for the evening—white. Styled by Kate Young, who is the go-to for many stars including Gomez, the dress featured a form-flattering silhouette, slits on the side, and a thigh-length slip under the sheer beaded fabric. The singer added color to her look with a pair of diamond and emerald tassel earrings from Boucheron, and a manicure in a matching metallic green hue. For the rest of her beauty look, Gomez went for an understated soft glam with glossy peach lip, and a chic updo with volume at the front.

The actor and singer notably missed the red carpet and arrived in time to present the award for Best Variety Talk Series alongside her Only Murders in the Building costars Martin Short and Steve Martin. The 30-year-old was also nominated for an Emmy in the category of Outstanding Comedy Series for her role as a producer on the popular Hulu show, making her the second Latina to be included in the producing category. Her date for the evening? Her mother and Wondermind business partner, Mandy Teefey.
While fans await Season 3 of OMITB, they can look forward to the upcoming documentary on Gomez’s life, which is set to release on Apple TV+ soon.

Selena Gomez’s Orange Sequin Co-Ord Set Combines the Best of This Summer’s Trends

Selena Gomez’s Orange Sequin Co-Ord Set Combines the Best of This Summer’s Trends

Sequins for daytime? Selena Gomez may have just found the most practical way of making them work. Currently vacationing (and bringing in her 30s in style), the singer and actor was spotted out and about in Capri, Italy wearing an orange co-ord set covered entirely in sequins. The look from Lapointe owed its day-appropriateness to its sleeveless and cropped top, and shorts which came in a cool high-waisted and knee length. The color, too, has slowly emerged as a summer favorite, following the Carrie Bradshaw Valentino dress, Blake Lively’s Sergio Hudson pantsuit, and Deepika Padukone‘s Ashi Studio gown at Cannes.

Gomez is not alone in reaching for a co-ord set this summer. Earlier this week, Jennifer Lopez also chose a blue and white plaid Tory Burch bralette and matching maxi skirt for a photo shoot in Capri, which is sure to make the effortlessly stylish combos top wishlists for the season. To complete her creamsicle-inspired outfit, the 30-year-old wore a pair of By Far off-white open-toed sandals and silver and white earrings by Roxane Assoulin which were shown off by her slicked-back bun. With her hair styled away from the face, the star sported natural and bronzed makeup to top off her summer holiday look.
The Rare Beauty founder’s visit to Capri may inspire fans and style enthusiasts alike in many ways, as Gomez was seen on boat trips with Italian producer and rumored beau Andrea Iervolino, dressed in one coveted swimsuit after another. Taking her influence beyond fashion, the self-love advocate also took to TikTok recently to share body positivity, by revealing that she will not be “sucking” her tummy in, and that “real stomachs” are coming back.

Selena Gomez Embraced Fairytale Glamour In a Sheer Gown For Her 30th Birthday

Selena Gomez Embraced Fairytale Glamour In a Sheer Gown For Her 30th Birthday

Selena Gomez turned 30 this past Friday, and the superstar marked the milestone in grand fashion. On Saturday evening, the superstar filled her Los Angeles home with tons of roses and hosted an intimate birthday party. Celebrity guests like singers Kim Petras, Camila Cabello, and Ava Max all made an appearance. (Gomez was also spotted grabbing dinner with her best friend Taylor Swift on Friday night).
For a night of dancing with her closest friends, Gomez chose a striking princess dress from Versace, styled by Kate Young. The pink, draped bodycon gown—complete with a lightweight tulle train—struck the perfect balance between timeless and modern, and the subtle pink beading fell in line with the party’s rose-filled decor. The Old Hollywood silhouette also continues Gomez’s retro style streak that she’s been on this summer, where the star has been favoring summer dresses that nod back to 1950s and 1960s.

Gomez’s latest evening wear moment turned out to be one her best fashion looks of the year. More important than her glamorous ensemble, however, was how Gomez felt on her special night. The star shared some thoughtful words about turning 30 on her Instagram. “My twenties were a journey through good, hard, and beautiful moments that I will never forget,”  wrote Gomez. “Each of them has shaped me into the person that I am today. After a few days of celebrating, my heart feels full, grateful and I can say that I’m starting to really like 30.”

Selena Gomez is having quite the busy summer. Between promoting the new season of her Hulu series Only Murders in the Building and making in-store appearances for her beauty line Rare Beauty, Gomez has been working non-stop. For all the events, she’s been embracing throwback silhouettes that are sweet and summery.
The star has been working with her longtime stylist Kate Young, and together they’ve cultivated a fresh new look for the season that’s all about a mod, 1960s-inspired sensibility. They’ve particularly zeroed in on the decade’s fixation with mini skirts. Last week, Gomez emerged in Paris for a Rare Beauty event wearing a gingham Alaïa two-piece including a crop top, pleated mini skirt, and white pointed pumps (we also love the heart-shaped handbag—pun intended). She then followed it up in Milan with a total Prada look consisting of an emerald button-down shirt, striped and pleated mini skirt (we’re sensing a theme here!), and black kitten heels. She even gets bonus points for wearing a Paris-born label in Paris, and an Italian label in Italy—a thoughtful touch.

Today in London, meanwhile, Gomez continued on with her 1960s mood with yet another mod statement look. She attended a Rare Beauty launch party sporting a yellow, square-neckline Glemaud mini dress complete with strappy PVC heels and golden hoops. The shortened silhouette felt deliciously groovy (as did her subtle beehive updo). All of these ensembles have been a fun new direction for the star, and prove that summer is the best time to experiment and try out a new style. It’s clearly working for her. And something tells us there’s plenty more of these throwback fits to come. Cue the Nancy Sinatra!

Selena Gomez Embraced the Cutout Trend in a Barbie Pink Dress

Selena Gomez Embraced the Cutout Trend in a Barbie Pink Dress

Photo: Instagram.com
Selena Gomez just embraced two of this spring’s biggest trends—and looked flawless doing it.
On April 9, the Only Murders in the Building star shared a new TikTok in a gorgeous pink dress and cropped jacket combo. The dress, which appears to be made of some sort of tweed fabric, featured two cutouts on the sides for a bit of spice. If you’ve been following red carpet fashion this season, you’ll know that Barbie pink has been a huge color story in 2022, while cutout dresses have been dominating every Best Dressed list.

Gomez’s TikTok also featured the bottleneck bob she debuted on the app at the end of March, in which she also declared her relationship status as single. In the new video, she lip-synced the audio, “I’m going out tonight so hide your men. Not because I want them, but because I don’t want to see a singular man on my outing.”
She captioned the video, “Facts tho.”
Gomez wore the look to participate in an Only Murders in the Building panel at the Deadline Contenders Television event in Los Angeles.

Despite her love of making TikTok videos, Selena Gomez revealed in a recent interview that she hasn’t been on the internet in over four years. Does it really count as being “on the internet” if she creates the content and sends it to her team to post on her behalf? According to Gomez, who recently launched a new website called Wondermind to make mental health resources more accessible, the answer is no.
“I haven’t been on the internet in four and a half years. It has changed my life completely,” Gomez told Good Morning America on April 4.“I am happier, I am more present, I connect more with people. It makes me feel normal.”
Gomez explained that she needed to distance herself from the internet’s constant scrutiny. “I can’t believe that I’m where I am mentally, just because of how I took the necessary steps in order to kind of remove myself from that,” she said. “Because it’s just not normal.”

Selena Gomez Styled Her Pink Dress With Gold Hoops From Her Favorite Jordanian-Founded Jewelry Brand

After making headlines in a bold red Louis Vuitton dress at the Critics’ Choice Awards, Selena Gomez was spotted in another solid colored number this week. This time serving up summer style inspiration, the actor wore a halter neck dress in soft pink, which is arguably one of the shades she favors the most for music videos and public appearances. Gomez was seen in the dress in a new heartwarming Instagram post—a photo in which she is hugging her younger half-sister Gracie Elliot Teefey, captioned, “Forever my favorite human.”

The star’s Veronica Beard dress, which came in the style Gabriella, featured ruched detailing, an asymmetrical hem, and an oversized bow at the back, and was paired with sparkling Nudistsong heels from Stuart Weitzman. To accessorize the girly piece, Gomez looked to a pair of chunky gold hoops from one of her favorite jewelry brands, Mejuri, co-founded by Jordanian couple Noura Sakkijha and Majed Masad. The 29-year-old’s versatile pair of earrings came from the Toronto-based brand known for its handcrafted gold vermeil pieces. As it turns out, Gomez seems to have become a fan of the label, and was also seen wearing Mejuri’s Daily Hoops while shooting promotional photos for her brand Rare Beauty back in December 2021.

Launched in 2015, Mejuri is a direct-to-consumer fine jewelry brand of daily wear pieces, with limited-edition drops taking place every Monday. “I founded Mejuri because I saw a jewelry industry that was built for men gifting women and not women celebrating themselves,” reads a statement from Sakkijha on the brand’s website. “To me, the truest expression of Mejuri is mutual uplift: all of us supporting each other, and you, our community, feeling empowered to invest in yourself and, in turn, the community around you.”

Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, and More: The Best Dressed Stars at SAG Awards 2022

Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, and More: The Best Dressed Stars at SAG Awards 2022

A night when actors celebrate the talent of their peers, the Screen Actors Guild Awards calls for expressive fashion. Tonight at Santa Monica’s Barker Hanger, the attendees went all out. After 2021’s virtual ceremony, the atmosphere was jubilant and the style steeped in references to cinema’s golden age.
Respecting history doesn’t mean replicating it, and the stars who won the evening managed to channel the past in inventive ways. Selena Gomez’s Oscar de la Renta column gown had puffed sleeves and shoulders big enough for Joan Crawford, but its sleek silhouette rendered in matte black velvet was utterly modern. That blingy Bulgari serpenti choker flecked with 37 cts of diamonds pavé certainly didn’t hurt either.
Likewise, Lady Gaga’s refined Armani Privé was the right mix of past and present. While it would have looked right at home on Veronica Lake, the white column gown with its crystalized bustier and curve accentuating design had just enough outré flair to please Mother Monster.
Even the industry’s newest names nodded to old-school stars. Squid Game’s HoYeon Jung can carry off Nicolas Ghesquière’s boldest pieces, but the silver beaded spaghetti strap dress he created for her first trip to the SAGs was a classic ingenue. Personalized by adding a custom LV version of a Korean daenggi ribbon, it allowed Jung to make a dazzling debut.
Vintage vibes were de rigueur on the red carpet, but nothing can stop Cynthia Erivo from doing her own thing. Arriving in a custom red vinyl Vuitton gown with a crimson faux fur slung over her shoulders, the Genius: Aretha star looked like she’d beamed in from the next millennium. Few would dare attempt a look with such glossy gravitas but Erivo’s style gave the crowd a thrilling glimpse of fashion’s future.

Selena Gomez‘s on-set looks for shooting Only Murders in the Building have been somewhat of a lesson in winter dressing. Her latest trifecta of ensembles was no different, as the singer and actor was spotted in chilly New York City for the filming of the Hulu show.
Photo: Getty
This time, the 29-year-old sported not one, but three statement coats that could very well be forever favorites in your wardrobe. The first and boldest of them all was an olive green faux fur number by Proenza Schouler. The robe-like coat featured a lapel collar and a wide belt, with the hem hitting mid-calf. Gomez appeared to have paired the coat with a lime green sweater and a grey marbled scarf peeking through the coat, along with loose trousers and lug-sole shoes. As seen on Gigi Hadid, Hailey Bieber, Katie Holmes, and Alexa Demie, the comfortable part-robe and part-coat silhouette in shearling and faux fur has emerged as one of the biggest winter trends of the post-lockdown time. More so since Balenciaga’s Demna presented them in his SS21 collection for the brand and his debut couture collection.

Gomez later slipped into something cozier in one of her go-to outerwear colors: tan. The actor was seen bundled up in a teddy coat with her hands tucked in its pockets and an oversized scarf tan scarf wrapped around her neck. Finally, the Hotel Transylvania star took her puffer coat—an Ugg Catherina Puffer Jacket—for a spin while meeting a few fans on set. The piece featured a black and white marbled print all over, and while it did have a hood, Gomez opted to wear the one from the knitted sweater from her layered look instead and kept warm with a cream-colored woolen scarf around her neck.

Selena Gomez’s Bright Orange Sweats Are the Perfect Airport Uniform

Selena Gomez’s Bright Orange Sweats Are the Perfect Airport Uniform

Photo: Instagram.com
When you’re about to board a long flight, comfort always comes first. It would be quite the sight to see someone stroll through the TSA metal detectors in sky-high stilettos and a ballgown. That said, there’s a way to look somewhat put-together at the airport, even if you plan on falling asleep as soon as you hit your seat. In fact, it’s never been easier, as many fashion labels are permanently embracing the idea of comfort dressing. Take your cues from Selena Gomez. Arriving at the JFK airport in New York recently, she dressed up her cozy sweats with the help of a few strategic accessories.
The singer’s choice of sweats were a fashion statement on their own. She wore a bright orange turtleneck sweater and matching joggers that were upbeat and perfect for fall (it’s like a Pumpkin Spiced Latte, but in sweatsuit form). The logo on her sweater reads “La Maison,” but a quick Google turned up no clues as to the designer of the sweatsuit. Could it be that she got her hands on a not-yet-released streetwear brand? Is she wearing a prototype from her own athleisure label? If you’re in the know about this label, call me!
To dress up her colorful comfort attire, Gomez added some luxury accessories, including a cross-body bag from Miu Miu—perfect for your AirPods and chargers—and some sleek low-tops, also by the label. The whole fit was streamlined and proved that dressing cozily can still have a polished end result. Go ahead and nap in peace.

Selena Gomez Continues to Champion Inclusivity with Her New Swimsuit Collection

Selena Gomez Continues to Champion Inclusivity with Her New Swimsuit Collection

Selena Gomez has designed a new swimsuit collection for those itching to hit the beach this summer. Recently partnering with La’Mariette, the new line, launched yesterday (July 3), includes six swim styles: two tops, two bottoms, a one-piece, and a sarong — all in the brand’s Aura print that features bright purples, reds, and greens.
“The Aura print is inspired by Selena, her aura shines through in everything she does and we want everyone else to feel that sort of transformative feeling of being their most authentic self,” explained La’Mariette co-founder Morgan Brutocao in a press release. “Selena’s confidence is unmatched and being able to design a print with her which embodies that is so rewarding.”

With a variety of styles and coverage options, the line aims to offer something for every body. From the strappy bikini top to the sarong that can be worn a multitude of ways, the collection is available in sizes XS-XXL and is available to purchase online.
Gomez posted a photo of herself posing in one of the suits. She wrote in the caption: “So grateful that I get the opportunity to celebrate my friends’ endeavors. My collaboration with @lamariette is out today! What I love about this brand is that it celebrates women who who love their bodies unconditionally giving themselves the grace they deserve. Hope you love it as much as I do.”

“It was really fun for us to play around with creating swimsuits because Theresa, Morgan, and I love being outside so much,” Selena said in a press release, referring to La’Mariette founders Theresa Mingus and Brutocao. “After going through swatches, my favorite color was purple, I wanted to stay away from colors I’m used to like red and white. Purple felt different for me and we added pops of color like green and neons here and there, it really becomes your own suit however you wear it,” she added.
This isn’t the first time Gomez has designed a bathing suit with the newly-relaunched La’Mariette brand. Mingus launched her swimsuit line in 2019 under the name Krahs, tapping Gomez to design a bestselling style that hid the scars from her kidney transplant surgery. One year later, Gomez helped kick off the rebrand, finally revealing her scar in a blue zippered suit.
