Following Rihanna’s surprise appearance at the Golden Globes with her boyfriend A$AP Rocky – Rih in custom Schiaparelli and Cartier diamonds, A$AP in Bottega Veneta suiting – the singer has teased her forthcoming Super Bowl half-time show, and the inevitable fashion talking points.
The cryptic video clip, shared on her Instagram, is soundtracked by a compilation of news announcements about the show, before her track “Needed Me” kicks in. It sets the scene for her headline slot in February, one of the most high-profile – and coveted – gigs in show-business.

Rihanna’s Super Bowl wardrobe will be expertly curated, and this first look finds the star in a black halter-neck stirrup jumpsuit and stilettos, and shrouded in a canary-yellow coat by New York-based label Area, which is scattered with studs. She also wears a chunky chain necklace adorned with gothic cross pendants and two pairs of bejewelled hoop earrings.
Her longtime hairstylist and collaborator Yusef Williams, who was behind Rihanna’s “Princess-Leia-meets-Hollywood-meets-Wakanda” braids for the Golden Globes, as well as her hair look for her May 2020 British Vogue cover, masterminded another incredible sculptural hair look for the Super Bowl teaser.
The comments section on the megastar’s Instagram reveals fans are as excited to see Rihanna storm the field at the State Farm Stadium on 12 February as they are for her new music (she last released an album in 2016). In the words of Jerrod Carmichael: “Rihanna, you take all the time you want on that album, girl.”

Rihanna And A$AP Rocky Won Best Dressed Couple At The Golden Globes

Rihanna And A$AP Rocky Won Best Dressed Couple At The Golden Globes

While Rihanna and A$AP Rocky chose to skip the red carpet at the Golden Globes tonight, they were still undeniably the best dressed couple. Sitting together at their table, Rihanna – who was up for Best Original Song for her Black Panther single, “Lift Me Up” – and Rocky both opted for black ensembles. Though on them, the classic formula didn’t feel at all boring. Instead, it felt incredibly fresh and current.
Rihanna’s take on formalwear tonight included a custom Schiaparelli look designed by Daniel Roseberry. The velvety, black strapless gown was punctuated with an oversized cape detail at the back and a sweeping train. The subtle colorway – though in an extreme silhouette! – allowed for her blinding Cartier earrings and 18-karat white gold and diamond choker to take the spotlight. (She does have a song called “Diamonds”, lest we forget.)
Rocky, meanwhile, sported a traditional black tuxedo with satin lapels, complete with a white button-up shirt and slim black tie. His diamond earrings complemented her showstopping necklace – because with these two, it’s always a coordinated affair. Now that they’re busy parents, it’s admirable that they continue to link up on their fashion choices. Talk about the coolest parents’ night out ever.

Logomania Has Gone Subtle—Here’s How Kim Kardashian, Rihanna and Zendaya Are Nailing the Look

Logomania Has Gone Subtle—Here’s How Kim Kardashian, Rihanna and Zendaya Are Nailing the Look

When the logomania trend hit its peak back in 2016, it felt as if everyone was obsessed with covering themselves in designer brand names from head to toe and making sure people knew it. Remember Louis Vuitton’s spring 2016 show, when the signature LV logo pattern used for its bags made their way onto leather coats too? But this season, the label-loving aesthetic is heading in a surprisingly more discreet direction. Yes, logomania can actually be subtle: Celebrities have been sporting abstract or itty-bitty logos that are barely discernible to the eye.
The new iteration of the trend makes sense: While logomania has certainly died down since 2016, it hasn’t entirely left the fashion consciousness. The Fendi by Versace pre-fall 2022 show, for one, showcased pieces which had the two Italian fashion house’s logos morphed into one on coats, bags, and everything in between. But as a whole, fashion has been embracing a quieter sensibility, with labels such as The Row, Khaite, and Bottega Veneta putting forward minimal clothes that exude a stealthy elegance. As a result, designer brands are now taking a more pared-back or abstract approach to their signature logo work, too.

For Valentino’s spring 2023 show, for instance, the Italian label debuted its Toile Iconographe monogram, which features several “V”s in an artful formation; Zendaya wore the monogram via a coat, skirt, and tights to the brand’s show in Paris last month. Burberry’s spring collection also had the house’s horse logo applied all over onto sheer hosiery, adding a subtle flair to simple looks. Dua Lipa recently wore sheer opera gloves from the collection on her Instagram, and you could barely tell what brand they are.
But it’s not just subtle, all-over prints taking over this season. Miniature logos have also been making an appearance on tank tops, making you squint to see them. Kylie Jenner wore a branded Loewe tank to the show in Paris last month, while actor Sheila Atim wore Prada’s tiny plaque version to its spring Milan presentation. The 2022 version of logomania, then, is clearly all about rocking designer pieces in a much more if-you-know-you-know way—though that spirit of showing off is still alive and well.

Rihanna Paired Her Neon Yellow Balenciaga Tracksuit With a Statement Bag in a Surprisingly Unexpected Shade

Photo: Instagram.com
Does Rihanna ever do anything half-heartedly? Judging by her wardrobe, the answer would be a definitive no. While the star has stepped back from the limelight ever since she welcomed her baby boy into the world with A$AP Rocky—presumably to spend quality time with family at this very special time—she is by no means shying away from the cameras when she does decide to venture out. And her latest outfit is proof.
Ever the athleisure loyalist, Rihanna was seen out and about in New York last evening in an all-eyes-on-me look that perfectly embodied her signature style. For her visit to Japanese hotspot Nobu, the multi-hyphenate opted for a Balenciaga tracksuit in a bold neon yellow shade. The oversized outfit came with a raised neck, elastic hems on the sleeves, and a discreet logo at the front in black. Check it out below.

Rihanna color-blocked her Balenciaga look with pops of red
The electric shade of Rihanna’s tracksuit made quite the statement on its own, but the music mogul didn’t stop there with her latest look. Instead of pairing her comfy separates with discreet accessories, she chose to take the outfit to the next level with pops of scarlet. Her picks: a sparkling red edition of Balenciaga’s hourglass mini, and an equally bright red matte lip color. Bringing in touches of black to the look were Rihanna’s sunglasses and shoes.
If you’ve been following Rihanna’s post-baby style of late, you’ll agree that easy, but bold looks have been her go-to of late, be it the T-shirt and skirt she paired with thigh-high Y/Project boots, or the comfy sweatshirt she complemented with Balenciaga x Adidas Pantaboots. Her latest outfit continues to prove that no one can do elevated athleisure quite like this billionaire.

A Closer Look At Rihanna’s Vast Collection Of Vintage Handbags

A Closer Look At Rihanna’s Vast Collection Of Vintage Handbags

Whether it’s a rare ’80s Jean Paul Gaultier piece or a ’90s Chanel coat in bubblegum pink, it’s no secret that Rihanna is a vintage obsessive. That certainly applies to her vast handbag collection, which is packed full of rare gems that only the keenest of eyes will have picked up on.
Case in point: the megastar stepped out with a Tom Ford-era Gucci bag from spring/summer 1996 earlier this month, which was sourced from archivist Lab2022 and covered in the designer’s iconic python print. It’s not the first time RiRi has sported Tom Ford’s Gucci designs either, with her ’90s velvet monogrammed bag being a wardrobe staple.

Vintage Dior is another favorite. Rihanna has several of the French fashion house’s iconic saddle bags in her collection, including one in camo print that she sported with a maternity crop top earlier this year, as well as a Noughties tie-dye version. Rather than just sticking to classic styles in easy-to-match neutrals, the singer gravitates towards rare collectors’ items, such as the brand’s bowling bag, again in a camo print, dating back to the early 2000s.
The same can be said for Rihanna’s growing assortment of vintage Fendi bags, too. In March, the beauty mogul added the brand’s rare Squirrel Spy bag in velvet to her collection, which also includes the iconic Croissant shape, sourced from Vintage By Misty. She’s also been spotted with a number of limited-edition Louis Vuitton bags, such as the LV X Stephen Sprouse Pochette bag, as well as the brand’s 1998 soccer ball-shaped purse created to commemorate the World Cup.

Ensuring she’s got all bases covered, RiRi owns a number of vintage Chanel accessories too, including a tangerine terry-cloth camera bag dating to the ’90s, as well as a rare velvet quilted box bag that she was first spotted with back in 2012.

It just goes to show, you don’t have to stick to the classics to build an impressive vintage bag collection. Keep an eye out also for the rarer, collectable pieces that show off your knowledge of fashion history, and – like Rihanna – make you stand out from the pack.

This Brand New Fenty Collaboration Confuses Lipgloss with… Ketchup

This Brand New Fenty Collaboration Confuses Lipgloss with… Ketchup

Fenty Beauty’s latest launch is…ketchup? In an April Fool’s reminiscent release, the Rihanna-founded beauty brand has just dropped a collaboration with MSCHF, inspired by tomato ketchup. The MSCHF x Fenty Beauty Ketchup Or Makeup set presents six identical sachets, styled like individual sauce packages. Some contain ketchup, the others are filled with Fenty beauty’s best selling Gloss Bomb lip gloss in a cherry hue.
Retailing for US$25, the collector’s item is available at a New York hotdog stand pop-up, or online at KetchupOrMakeup.com. Reactions online have been mixed, with some Fenty fans agog at the surprise launch, while other social media commenters are confused by the left field collaboration.
Unfamiliar with MSCHF? The art collective specializes in off-kilter collabs – some real, some imaginary – with unexpected celebrities and brand names, creating sometimes bizarre pairings. MSCHF has previously released the Lil Nas x Nikes, Jimmy Fallon’s Gobstomper sneakers, mocked up Birkenstock sandals produced from a disassembled Hermes Birkin, and produced the headline grabbing Eat the Rich ice cream truck.

New Mom Rihanna Wore an Edgy Jean Paul Gaultier Corset for a Dinner Date With A$AP Rocky

It’s safe to say that Rihanna changed the maternity dressing game forever with her bump-baring looks. Since giving birth to her son, the pop sensation is (obviously) continuing her style streak. Together with her partner, A$AP Rocky, the pair has proved that parenthood doesn’t mean you can’t be über chic.
Spotted on a date in New York City, Rihanna and A$AP served enviable style in sleek co-ordinating ensembles. RiRi wore a navy silk satin cone-bra corset top with matching figure-hugging leggings from Jean Paul Gaultier’s capsule collection with mega stylist Lotta Volkova, a black full-length leather trench, navy point-toe pumps, black square-frame shades and a black satin Dior Saddle bag.

A$AP, on the other hand, opted for a cobalt-blue shorts suit by Raf Simons, a white graphic T-shirt, black aviator wrap-around sunglasses and a pair of black and white Oxford brogues worn with white socks.

Rihanna just made her first public appearance since welcoming her first child with her boyfriend A$AP Rocky on May 13.
On July 1, the Fenty Beauty mogul was photographed in Bromley, London, where she watched Rocky perform at the Wireless Festival at Crystal Palace Park. In the photo, shared by the music festival, Rihanna can be seen wearing black leggings and a black Prada puffer jacket with feather details surrounding the hood and wrists. Her long hair was worn down and she topped off the look with a statement choker necklace.

Rihanna is all about statement outerwear. In fact, when the singer revealed her pregnancy with a photo shoot at the end of January 2022, she was wearing a bright pink archival Chanel jacket. For the picture, she left the coat mostly unbuttoned to display her growing baby bump. In the months prior to sharing the happy news, she was photographed in a series of colorful oversized jackets.
Aside from puffy coats, crop tops, and cut-out catsuits, A$AP Rocky says Rihanna can often be found wearing clothes straight from his closet. “We happen to look good together naturally,” he said in a May interview with Dazed. “You know, it would take a lot of work to have us forcefully match before we leave the house. Sometimes we match to a T, or we just wear the same clothes. If I buy a shirt that she likes, I expect to get it stolen… but then I gotta steal it back.”
While Rihanna rocked a number of trendsetting looks throughout her pregnancy, the ‘Diamonds’ singer has been taking time away from the public eye since giving birth to her son in May. “Rihanna is doing well. They are very excited to be parents,” a source close to Rihanna and A$AP Rocky told People on May 19. “Rihanna is already a wonderful mom.”

In the world of red carpet style, the Met Gala has been the place for celebrity couples to be seen together. Whatever the theme, many famous pairs have coordinated their looks for the stylish affair. 2019’s camp-themed affair, for instance, saw a particularly high number of couples who matched for the event. And with this year’s Met Gala rapidly approaching, Vogue is celebrating the spirit of the ball, looking back on the couples’ style moments that still resonate today.
If the Met Gala is a place for bold, one-of-kind fashion to be unveiled, it’s also a place where high-profile couples have made their red carpet debuts. Take Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik, who walked the red carpet for the first time together in 2016: The stars wore futuristic getups inspired by the year’s technology theme, Hadid in a space-age, chic Tommy Hilfiger gown and Malik in a Versace suit with robotic-style sleeves. For other couples, the Met Gala has served as a meet-cute spot. Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra met for the first time at the soirée in 2017, and now the pair are husband and wife.
Other famous duos who have been fixtures at the Met Gala as well include the likes of David and Victoria Beckham, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, and Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner—who could forget the latter couple’s matching geometric looks by Louis Vuitton in 2019, which they wore just one week after getting hitched? Last year, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky set the Internet ablaze when they showed up to the Met steps in matching voluminous looks (Rihanna in Balenciaga, Rocky in ERL).

This Is the Classic Amina Muaddi Shoe that Rihanna Has Worn Throughout Her Pregnancy

This Is the Classic Amina Muaddi Shoe that Rihanna Has Worn Throughout Her Pregnancy

When an accessory receives Rihanna’s seal of approval, we all sit up and take note. Amina Muaddi’s Ursina pumps are one such product. Rihanna knows a great heel when she sees one, and she’s rarely parted from her Ursinas.
Amina Muaddi’s point-toe pumps are an easy sell for any footwear fanatic. Although they don’t bear the brand’s instantly-recognizable hourglass heel, they come with a razor-sharp stiletto.
The Ursinas have been a permanent fixture in Rihanna’s wardrobe for some time. It was Muaddi’s heels that she turned to for her pregnancy announcement portraits. Barely visible beneath her baggy Vetements jeans, Rihanna wore the stiletto pumps in a deep Bordeaux hue, with a diamanté strap buckled around her ankle. Comfort to Rihanna is a heel she can rely upon for the most important occasions. The fact that she’s worn them on repeat, even in her final trimester, is proof that she holds them dear.

More Muaddi highlights from Rihanna include the look she wore to the latest Gucci show: a patent crop top, trousers sitting beneath her growing belly, a chainmail headpiece and pink pixelated snakeskin Ursinas with a citrine-adorned ankle strap. Testament to the shoe’s versatility, she wore them again for an outing in LA with a terry Bottega bralette, pastel Vetements jeans and an R13 workwear jacket.

The pristine white and camo satin colourways are other favorites. Rihanna sported the former at her Savage X Fenty Vol. 3 show, and the latter on multiple night outs, often with one of her many head-turning miniskirts.

Models Anok Yai and Hailey Bieber have fallen for Amina Muaddi’s Ursina heels, too. Like Rihanna, Hailey has worn hers with bare legs to show off their full potential. Anok, meanwhile, wore hers with a scene-stealing LBD to the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Party last month.

Take their word for it, Amina Muaddi’s Ursina pumps are an investment worth your while.
