Ahead of her own nuptials later this year, Rajwa Al Saif attended her first royal wedding as the fiancée of Crown Prince Hussein this week. On Sunday, March 12, Princess Iman and Jameel Thermiotis’s intimate ceremony at Beit Al Urdon Palace in Amman saw the bride’s future sister-in-law Rajwa Al Saif opt for the Neolitsea dress from Roksanda. The Saudi national proved her style credentials as the future queen of Jordan in a delightful yellow draped cape dress designed by London-based Serbian designer Roksanda Ilinčić using crepe fabric.

Al Saif kept her look minimal when it came to accessorizing with dangling earrings in burgundy and the Knot Intrecciato Gold Mesh Clutch from Bottega Veneta. The newest member of the Jordanian royal family chose to adorn her feet with the Marla 85 mules in satin from the Malone Souliers capsule collection with generational jewelry house L’Atelier Nawbar.
Earlier last week, Al-Saif’s outfit for Princess Iman’s pre-wedding henna party was another example of her impeccable style. It’s safe to say that when her own wedding comes around in June 2023, many will be waiting with bated breath to see what the future queen of Jordan will be wearing in what is sure to be a memorable moment in the region.

Ahead of her wedding, Princess Iman’s henna party was joined by Rajwa Al Saif, fiancé of Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah. The future Queen of Jordan is well on her way to becoming a fashion icon like her mother-in-law and her outfit at yesterday’s event only helped further that.
Al Saif, who usually favors neutral muted tones was a vision in bright and vibrant hues this time around. Her plum kaftan had bold orange stripes on both sides while a floral print adorned the outfit. A more discerning eye might catch the lime-green elements in her ensemble – a pair of the iconic Gianvito 105 suede pumps by Gianvito Rossi that matched small patches on both sides of her kaftan. She opted to wear minimal jewelry with traditional earrings dangling from her ears and her ring being the only visible accessories.

The Saudi national will also be celebrating her own nuptials later this year. According to an announcement by the Royal Hashemite Court her wedding with Crown Prince Hussein will be held on June 1, 2023. Queen Rania also shared an emotional message at the time of their engagement as she welcomed Al Saif to the family, “I didn’t think it was possible to hold so much joy in my heart! Congratulations to my eldest Prince Hussein and his beautiful bride-to-be, Rajwa.”
With her own wedding just months away and Princess Iman’s celebration this weekend we can only expect that Al Saif will continue to provide style inspiration worthy of a royal in the coming days and months.

Ever since it was announced that Jordan’s Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah is engaged to Rajwa Al-Saif, the two have become among the region’s most-followed duos. Be it a family portrait or an intimate outing, pictures of the soon-to-be-wed royal couple never fail to top trending charts, with well wishers all over the globe sharing comments of congratulations on social media.
This week, Rajwa and Prince Hussein made another rare public appearance prior to their royal wedding, which has reportedly been set for June 1, 2023. The two stepped out to pay a visit an art workshop for the blind in Amman. The outing also marked their second royal engagement as a couple, for which they displayed a united front in matching all-black ensembles. While Prince Hussein chose a black polo, trousers and casual jacket, Rajwa complemented his look in a smart V-neck blouse in ebony, along with mildly distressed black jeans and a structured overcoat. To complete her look, the bride-to-be opted for a delicate necklace and dainty earrings, and had her hair pulled back into a half-up, half-down do.

According to reports, the young duo had a great time meeting the youngsters at the workshop, with Rajwa Al-Saif even requesting the children to draw pictures of her future home. When Prince Hussein suggested his fiancée join in to indulge her love for drawing, she responded saying “but I’m shy of joining since you all have great talents!”
Post the get-together, Prince Hussein took to Instagram to share snippets of his afternoon with a heartfelt caption. “Rajwa and I were truly privileged today to meet with a group of inspiring young artists who have conquered their visual disability through their exceptional talents and artistic sensitivities,” the royal wrote. “It was heartwarming to witness their insightful and immense creativity firsthand.”

Crown Prince Hussein‘s Saudi fiancée Rajwa Khaled Bin Musaed Bin Saif Bin Abdulaziz Al Saif marked her first official appointment in Jordan on Tuesday. After announcing their engagement in August, the couple stepped out to visit the Royal Hashemite Court, which saw Al Saif get more acquainted with the country’s history.
The couple was joined by Prince Hussein Bin Talal, who seemingly led the tour of the headquarters and the rich Hashemite heritage. Prince Hussein took to Instagram to document the moment with a picture of the couple posing with Prince Hussein and another walking into the court. “There is no one more knowledgeable than my great uncle El Hassan when it comes to Jordan’s history and our Hashemite legacy,” he wrote.” Rajwa and I had the pleasure of viewing exhibits from Jordan’s Hashemite history at the Royal Hashemite Court today.”

For her outfit for the visit, Al Saif looked to the fail-safe monochrome combination with a crisp white button-up tucked into a slightly poufy black skirt. Elevating the otherwise classic ensemble with a touch of playfulness were two belts cinching the midi skirt at the waist, while a dainty necklace and a cream-colored mini bag completed her look. The daytime trip also saw Al Saif ditch her usually polished waves for more naturally tousled locks, and go for a pared-back makeup look showing off radiant skin.

Earlier this month, the world came together to celebrate a very special moment for the royal family of Jordan: the engagement of the son of Queen Rania Al Abdullah and King Abdullah II, Prince Hussein. In case you missed it, the royal is now all set to marry Rajwa Al-Saif, a 28-year-old Saudi native who holds a graduate degree from the College of Architecture at Syracuse University.

The happy news was shared on Instagram via Queen Rania’s official Instagram page, and while got busy showering the much-loved queen with congratulations and well wishes, many couldn’t look away from the elegant ensemble the bride-to-be wore in her first pictures as Prince Hussein’s fianceé. A beaming Rajwa Al-Saif positively glowed as she stood alongside her future husband, dressed in a dreamy white abaya doused in intricate gold embellishment. The light-as-air piece was paired with a soft green head scarf and cinched in at the waist with a bold gold belt, which we now know was a piece borrowed from Al-Saif’s mother-in-law-to-be, Queen Rania herself.

The look, both timeless yet age-appropriate, was quick to catch everyone’s attention, and has been confirmed as a bestseller from the archives of Orient 499, the Lebanese label that prides itself on its dedication to sustainability, and spotlighting local craftsmanship.
“The abaya Rajwa Al-Saif wore is crafted from a rare handwoven fabric made with silk and linen threads,” co-founder Frank Luca revealed to Vogue Arabia. “The front and the back of the abaya are hand embroidered with sequins and beads in our atelier by our artisans. The intricate hand embroidery takes about three weeks to produce. The design was conceived by my co-founder and fashion designer Aida Kawas in 2013, and due to its popularity, we have reproduced it but in limited quantities. The attention to detail as well as the lightness of the fabric made this item a bestseller, and it has been produced a few times ever since its creation in 2013, but for a total number of 12 pieces throughout the years.”

The romantic message you missed in Rajwa Al-Saif’s abaya design
Look closer at Rajwa Al-Saif’s elegant abaya, and you’ll notice a special message hidden in the details. On the back of the bride-to-be’s abaya sit two gold birds that seem to share a body. “The birds represent our brand, and this is a motif often found in our designs, be it objects or clothing,” Luca elaborated. “The two birds on the back represent two lovers united with the continuation of their chest.” It’s safe to say that the romantic meaning behind the embroidery on Al-Saif’s outfit made it the ideal choice for the occasion. Below, take a closer look at the Orient 499 abaya that’s had everyone talking.

Soon after announcing the engagement of her son, Crown Prince Hussein, to Rajwa Al-Saif, HM Queen Rania of Jordan took to Instagram to welcome the bride-to-be as her “third daughter”. The sweet message is indicative of the relationship the mother and daughter-in-law have come to share, which includes loaning and borrowing accessories for special occasions.

For her engagement ceremony in Riyadh, Al-Saif wore an embroidered abaya from Lebanese brand Orient 499 with a bronze belt, which appears to be given to her by Queen Rania. The metallic piece was worn by the Jordanian royal in May 2019, at the country’s Independence Day ceremony in Amman.

Queen Rania has also shared a pair of earrings with the future princess, which was spotted in one of the post-engagement portraits of the couple. Standing alongside husband-to-be Prince Hussein, Al-Saif wore a multicolored skirt and white shirt by Italian designer Sara Roka, which she accessorized with a lilac belt, light blue Valentino pumps, and Stephen Webster earrings originally owned by Queen Rania. The Plumage earrings are from the brand’s Magnipheasant collection and were custom-made for the royal by replacing emeralds with yellow diamonds. They have been worn by Queen Rania for multiple events, including the Social Good Summit in New York, in 2015.
Given Queen Rania’s noteworthy style and her eye for stunning creations by both local and international designers, expect to see the mother and daughter-in-law share more pieces in the future.
