Meghan Markle Stepped Out for Dinner With Prince Harry in the Perfect Date-Ready Jumpsuit

Meghan Markle Stepped Out for Dinner With Prince Harry in the Perfect Date-Ready Jumpsuit

The Duchess of Sussex has had a whirlwind trip to New York so far, beginning with an appearance at the United Nations, then a meeting with Gloria Steinem, and lastly, dinner with friends at Italian restaurant Locanda Verde, accompanied by Prince Harry.
For her evening look, Meghan Markle opted for a monochrome jumpsuit by Gabriela Hearst, featuring a strapless neckline and cut-out detailing at the back. Finishing off the sleek look, she accessorized with a Bottega Veneta pouch bag and strappy Aquazzura heels, while wearing her hair in a low ponytail.

It’s not the first time Meghan has championed eco-minded designer Gabriela Hearst. The Duchess often sported the designer’s cult Demi bag during her first official engagements as a royal. She also opted for a custom navy dress by the Uruguayan-born designer during a royal tour of New Zealand back in 2018, and she chose a tailored blazer by Chloé – which installed Hearst as the brand’s creative director in 2020 – for a visit to a non-profit in Amsterdam in April this year.
Meghan’s latest Gabriela Hearst look is in keeping with her wardrobe of elevated staples – her Dior city shorts, worn earlier in the day, are another example of that. All the better if they come with the sustainability credentials to match, too.

Kate Middleton’s White Zara Blazer Is the Perfect Pick-Me-Up for Your Casual Weekend Look

Kate Middleton’s White Zara Blazer Is the Perfect Pick-Me-Up for Your Casual Weekend Look

Photo: Getty
It was business as usual for the Duchess of Cambridge over the Jubilee weekend, as she employed the holy trinity of royal fashion – dress coats, fascinators and court shoes – to fulfil her duties. Now that the bunting has been packed away and Prince Louis has stopped making faces, Kate is engaging her usual workwear mode again. For a visit to Brent’s Little Village hub to see how the baby bank is supporting local families, she wore a variation on the polished smart-casual aesthetic she has been honing.
The Duchess has pared back her tailoring in recent months to become more streamlined and trend-conscious. Photo: Getty
A trusty Zara blazer – Kate’s high-street go-to for her tailoring – was in line with fashion’s current preference for sized-up suiting and sat on the right side of boxy. She teamed her power-shouldered jacket with wide-legged Roland Mouret trousers – another effort this skinny jeans fan has made to stay in line with the trend cycle – a woven Massimo Dutti clutch, Gianvito Rossi pumps and Kiki McDonough citrine earrings for a subtle splash of color.
Swap the blazer for a black one and wear a loose white tee underneath for a failsafe day look, like the Duchess’s. Photo: Getty Images
The approachable look – a tee and a blazer is something anyone can emulate – chimes with the softer side to the Duchess, which was splashed across the papers over the weekend as she tried to reason with her youngest during a moment of playfulness while taking in the pageant. Coupled with more intimate photos of Kate, wearing a pink gingham Brora blouse and & Other Stories jeans while icing cake with her kids, the Duchess’s low-key and light-hearted image looked good on her. We’d take Kate in relaxed separates, running a hand through her hair, over the primped and preened Duchess on the world’s stage any day.

Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte Wore Matching Outfits For a Family Easter Outing

Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte Wore Matching Outfits For a Family Easter Outing

Prince George and Princess Charlotte just made their official Easter debut with Kate Middleton and Prince William.
On April 17, the Cambridge family, minus three-year-old Prince Louis, attended Easter mass at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, per royal family tradition. For Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s first time, the family opted to coordinate in matching blue outfits. Kate Middleton stunned in a belted cornflower Emilia Wickstead dress, clutch, and intricate dark blue headpiece, while Princess Charlotte wore a dress and tights in the same pastel shade. The six-year-old girl’s navy cardigan and shoes served to compliment Prince George and Prince William’s matching suits.

This isn’t the first time the Cambridge family has worn matching blue looks. Back in April 2020, the family was seen wearing various shades of the color during BBC Children and Comic Relief’s Big Night In to raise money for those on the front lines of the pandemic. In the special, the family clapped for National Health Services workers.

Queen Elizabeth did not attend Easter services this year. The Queen has been staying at Windsor Castle since February as she recovers from Covid-19. During an April Zoom call, she spoke with another Covid patient and remarked that the virus has left her “tired and exhausted.”
While the Queen has not been venturing out in public, it’s been reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle paid her a visit on their way to the Netherlands for the Invictus Games. This marked the couple’s first joint visit since moving to California in 2020, according to People.
While this was Markle’s first time back in the U.K. since March 2020, Prince Harry had visited his grandmother twice. In April 2021, the Duke of Sussex flew in for Prince Philip’s funeral before returning just a couple of months later to unveil a statue of his mom, the late Princess Diana.
