Bootcut jeans became one of the biggest denim trends to resurface last year. Kate Moss, Britney Spears, and Halle Berry were all fans of the nostalgic Noughties wardrobe staple the first time around – think somewhere between classic ’70s flares and Levi’s 501s. Fast forward to present, and Jennifer Lopez is a fan as well.
Spotted in Los Angeles with her beau Ben Affleck, the 52-year-old pop superstar had dressed up a pair of high-waisted bootcut flare jeans in faded blue with a pink and green floral sweatshirt from Valentino tucked in. JLo accessorized the look with rose-tinted Celine aviators, a pink Studio mock croc shoulder bag by Coach (of which Lopez is a brand ambassador), and a dusty pink pair of platform heels from Dolce & Gabbana.

Whether you like them or not, bootcut jeans are here to stay. A versatile investment that can be dressed down with a breton top for a casual day out in the sun, or amped up to the nines like JLo with a striking pair of pumps.

Bella Hadid Has Found the Perfect Pair of Straight-Leg Jeans

As Paris Fashion Week comes to an end, so too do the street-style moments from the cobbled streets of the French capital. We can always count on Bella Hadid, though, who continues to serve looks off-season. As the model arrives in London after a month of owning the runways, she brings with her that noteworthy fashion sense. And from a first glimpse of her UK wardrobe, it’s Bella’s choice of classic straight-leg blue jeans that stands out the most.
Seen walking out of St Pancras station, the 25-year-old model wore an ensemble reminiscent of ’90s off-duty supermodel style. The look comprised the perfect pair of dark blue straight-leg jeans worn with a brown leather belt, a black zip-up top unzipped almost to her navel, a brown pinstripe blazer, a burgundy leather jacket in her arms, and a pair of slip-ons adorned with leopard print.
As always, Bella’s accessories were a highlight. The model threw on fingerless leather brown gloves, a pair of micro-shades in tortoiseshell, a red pendant choker, and her favorite vintage Chanel bag that she’s carried around all season.

Nadine Nassib Njeim turns 38 on Monday, January 7, but that doesn’t mean the Lebanese star is going to wait for D-Day to start celebrating the milestone moment. Currently traveling, the actor received a sweet surprise while staying at The St. Regis Downtown Dubai, which served as the perfect beginning note of what’s likely to be an action-packed weekend.
Just minutes ago, Njeim took to Instagram to share a playful video of herself dancing in her hotel room, which was decked out with black and gold balloons, and a large gold banner that read out “Happy Birthday NNN”. The star was also surprised with a golden revolving cake installation, which came decorated with some of her most iconic snapshots and hidden fairy lights. Given that she’s enjoying a few days off, Njeim shot the video in an easy casual look that’s perfect for the weekend. Check it out below.

Nadine Nassib Njeim’s casual birthday look proves that denim is always a good idea
In her video, Nadine Nassib Njeim was seen enjoying her birthday surprise in a comfy denim-on-denim look. The star wore a pair light wash high-waisted jeans in a relaxed silhouette, which matched perfectly with her cropped denim jacket. Instead of wearing the layer as one normally would, Njeim gave her nod to the ‘shrobing’ trend by sliding the shoulders of her jacket back, revealing a snug tank top in a warm shade of brown. The top’s earthy hue instantly elevated the casual look and gave it a luxe spin.
To complete her OOTD, Nadine Nassib Njeim went with her fail-safe beauty look, highlighting her striking features with contour, and leaving her lush locks open in waves and swept to one side. That, paired with the neutral palette of her outfit, created a fail-safe off-duty look that’s equal parts comfortable and cool. It’s safe to say that the rest of the star’s birthday weekend is going to be just as fun as today was.

20 of the Best Jeans in Every Kind of Style

20 of the Best Jeans in Every Kind of Style

After lounging in sweats last summer, it’s now time to step out in your best denim. Jeans are a wardrobe staple that will never go out of style: pair with a simple T-shirt (so 70s Jane Birkin), an OTM crochet top and bucket hat, a silk shirt, and blazer… The options are endless.
Loose-fit jeans are the new skinny and were spotted all over the SS21 runway. Chanel paired wide styles with a mini bag belt and signature tweed jacket, while Balmain declared the 90s are back with skinny flares under strappy dresses. Stella McCartney’s 70s flare is the definition of nostalgia (with a fresh twist), and those straight-leg styles by Versace? Utterly timeless. Choosing the right pair for you means making your selection based on what you feel confident in and will work with your current wardrobe – after all, the beauty of denim is its ability to mix and merge seamlessly with any number of key pieces.

How to Wear Jeans Like Bella Hadid, Zoë Kravitz, Kaia Gerber, and Kendall Jenner

How to Wear Jeans Like Bella Hadid, Zoë Kravitz, Kaia Gerber, and Kendall Jenner

The greatest wardrobe leveller? The item that unites the girl-next-door with the It-girl? Blue jeans, of course. The likes of Bella Hadid, Kaia Gerber and Zoë Kravitz swear by them – even for the front row, as the latter proved when she wore hers with a glittering chainmail top and strappy sandals to attend the Saint Laurent fall/winter 2020 spectacle last year.As even the most dedicated denim obsessive will know, finding the perfect fit isn’t easy. For starters, the denim lexicon is an expansive one – bootcut, wide-leg, tapered, Boyfriend, Mom, skinny and straight are just a handful of the terms you will encounter on the shop floor.
Baggy jeans were a major trend at the spring/summer 2021 shows; louche trousers were seen at Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Fendi and Balenciaga. Then the autumn/winter 2021 season quashed all claims that skinnies were dead: Molly Goddard introduced the ultimate dress-over-jeans styling hack at her show.
When shopping for a new pair of jeans, take your cues from the cool girls. See below for our handy how-to guide to wearing denim, inspired by the stars who do it best.
Don’t shy away from pattern. Styling trick: Pair your patterned denim with a simple cami to avoid overkill. Pep up with a standout accessory. Styling trick: When she’s not modelling lacy lingerie from her Savage X Fenty line or showing her love of statement vintage goods, Rihanna keeps things pretty low-key. But she always includes a look-at-me accessory, like a fluffy hat from Emma Brewin. Take them two sizes up. Styling trick: A fine-gauge knit tucked into a boyfriend shape semaphores cosy-chic. Reboot the jeans-and-a-going-out-top formula. Styling trick: Zoë Kravitz proved that jeans don’t have to be reserved for casual affairs – just add skyscraper sandals and a barely-there mesh top. If in doubt, pair with tailoring. Styling trick: Jeans and a blazer are a foolproof off-duty dress code for models zipping between shows, shoots and castings. Why pick one colour when you can have two? Styling trick: The world is a catwalk for 18-year-old Mona Tougaard. At London Fashion Week last February, she was spied wearing a spliced T-shirt and contrast two-tone jeans outside the shows. Try them tucked. Styling trick: Heavyweight stomper boots have been a key shoe shape for some time, and they’re the perfect companion to jeans. Kendall’s Prada lug-soled pair are popular with the street-style set and stars alike. Distressed denim can still look dressed-up. Styling trick: Ripped jeans are surprisingly versatile – add some edge to a smarter outfit with a pair of distressed skinnies à la Gigi Hadid, or keep it casual with a white T-shirt and trainers. Take über wide-legs for a whirl. Styling trick: Katie Holmes swears by a failsafe jeans-and-tee combo. Her favorite pairs are from Reformation, Rag & Bone and Ulla Johnson. Channel the summer of love with tie-dye. Styling trick: Several stars including Bella Hadid and Victoria Beckham tried their hand at tie-dying as a quarantine distraction. Why not release your own inner creative, and give your old jeans a lease of new life at the same time? Try a 2-in-1 look. Styling trick: Bella Hadid is no stranger to an avant-garde pair of jeans. This Vivienne Westwood pair combines classic blue and acid wash denim. Take a leaf out your dad’s book. Styling trick: Kaia Gerber prefers to keep it simple and often opts for a straight-leg, indigo blue pair of jeans that are the perfect foil for her dad trainers. When she’s not wearing Converse, New Balance 990s are her go-to. Push the grunge envelope. Styling trick: It’s no secret that Bella Hadid is obsessed with ’90s style. She’s added grungy, oversized denim to her wardrobe of cropped camis tube tops and micro sunnies.
