With its iconic creations, Cartier has stood the test of time, and its Beautés Du Monde jewelry collection serves as an emblem of prestige, timelessness and sheer elegance. The brand’s latest offering hopes to reincarnate elements of nature into pieces of high jewelry, from emerald rings to glittering diamond earrings and sapphire necklaces. The collection explores the elegance of animals, and the transcending beauty of the ocean, bringing aquatic miracles to life in pieces that redefine the bounds of jewelry.
Inspired by the unconventional green iguana, the Iwana necklace unveils its beauty in a set abundant with diamonds and emeralds, glittering in all their glory. Glowing in vibrant shades of green, three Colombian emeralds connected by metal rings open the doors for flexibility in a high jewelry Cartier necklace, a concept the brand has put forth for the convenience of the modern woman.

Cartier’s Water Aspis Necklace, on the other hand, embodies the dreamy scene where the land meets the sea bed, a blue sanctuary where beautiful oceanic beasts reside. Sea snakes are often rendered as a terrifying myth, with few able to appreciate the beauty of the hypnotizing animal. This Cartier collection takes inspiration from the ocean’s menagerie, bringing brilliant blue sapphires and geometric cut diamonds together in a neat, emotive necklace.
Cartier’s capsule collection consists of seven radiant rings, each emphasizing a series of rare stones, depicting the depths of the sea and the heights of the sky. Blue-green emeralds bring that fantasy-like aquatic spark to life, while glistening crystals take you down the depths of the earth for an enlightening journey.
Following its age-old mission to express nature through abstract, geometric incarnations rather than imitating its innate state, Cartier has expanded its horizons, bringing obsolete elements of nature to life. The brand has been leaning towards geometric patterns for quite some time now, but the Beautés Du Monde jewelry collection may just mark the first time the brand has embodied such a wealth of meaning in its offerings.

Aiming to take its wearer on a journey through the enchanting beauty of femininity, the iconic Diva’s dream collection by Italian luxury fashion house Bulgari is one that’s bound to have you falling in love. Spotlighting the fan-shaped design that is unique to Rome’s history and culture, the collection started off with an idea to embrace the power and beauty of the divas of Hollywood, including Naomi Scott and Zendaya who starred in the collection’s initial campaigns. Now, the elegant pieces are seen donned by powerhouses Anne Hathaway and Lisa, both of them wearing the timeless jewelry pieces with pride.

As a tribute to the Roman maison’s iconic history, Bulgari narrates the story of its exquisite aesthetic with a new, three-fan-shaped necklace that comes doused in sparkling diamonds, along with gorgeous pieces that bring in unexpected pops of color—quite like the surprise elements that make each women a one-of-a-kind beauty. While Anne Hathaway glows in a Bulgari neckpiece that sees its iconic fan-shaped pendant slowly blossoms from white diamonds to pink stones, Lisa’s spunky energy is perfectly complemented with a double necklace—one with a diamond-studded pendant, and the other featuring shades of emerald green. With its Diva jewelry collection—which also extends to rings, earrings, and watches featuring the same motif—Bulgari is breaking the boundaries between fine jewelry and daily wear staples that can elevate any look in your closet. With each creation, Bulgari reminds us to stay on the endearing path of joy and beauty, regardless of any obstacles that may come up along the way.

Sabyasachi’s High Jewelry Collection for Bergdorf Goodman Showcases a Historical Journey From Calcutta to New York

Sabyasachi’s High Jewelry Collection for Bergdorf Goodman Showcases a Historical Journey From Calcutta to New York

Photo: Courtesy Sabyasachi
A long journey that traverses the deserts and seas, from the land of Rabindranath Tagore to the home of the Empire State building, from the artistic prowess of Bengali craftsmanship to the magnificent Byzantine empire and Broadway’s theatrical flair… couturier Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s latest high jewelry collection is an ode to intertwined cultures.
Titled the Bengal Byzantine Broadway Collection, the line seamlessly captures the essence of what it means to be graceful, yet rebellious. Each piece in Sabyasachi’s collection carries with it a sense of yearning for something lost, yet present behind closed doors. Think deconstructed maharani necklaces with hand-printed velvet ties, lacquered Grecian medallions with tropical elements from the mangroves of the Sundarbans, earrings adorned with cut and uncut diamonds, and bangles set in gold with multicolored diamonds, apaches, turquoise, corals, pearls, sapphires and jaspers.
Photo: Courtesy Sabyasachi
Cemented fiercely in India’s rich heritage, the Bengal Byzantine Broadway collection celebrates the euphoric and the defiant, narrating more than just one story in its wake. This eclectic compilation capsules the very essence of the country’s legacy, while giving it a contemporary touch. “Bengal’s grand history of handcrafted jewelry almost faded away because of a lack of patronage. I want to bring this legacy back to the world,” says Mukherjee, who has grown to become one of the most renowned designers of his time across the globe. “As heritage crafts get rarer and rarer, and as they become more endangered, their legacy will become more valuable than the most precious of gemstones. These are the heirlooms that will find their pride of place in museums tomorrow.”
The limited-edition pieces perfectly blend the maximalist sentiments of both the east and west, creating a cathartic sense of pluralism between both cultures. Below, take a closer look at the collection.

Blue and calm yet valiant and powerful, water has more than just one facet. Portraying the source of life in its full glory, the new collection by Chaumet is dedicated to every wave in the sea. Named Ondes et Merveilles, which translates to ‘waves and wonders’, this high end jewelry collection takes its wearer on a journey through the deepest and bluest of waters.
Testimony to the maison’s unique style, the ‘On the Water’s Surface’, ‘Gulfstream’ and ‘Breaking Wave’ jewelry lines start as a ripple in the vast sea as a true ballad to the song of life. The ‘On the Waters’ collection effortlessly arrests the fierce strokes of the sea, one precious stone at a time. Weaved into existence by floating diamonds attached to detachable necklaces, head jewels that transform into brooches, and pendant earrings and rings, the diamonds and white gold used in Chaumet’s latest launch work together beautifully to create a line of must-haves.

Borrowing its name from the warm Atlantic wind is the ‘Gulfstream’ line, which effortlessly captures lucid sentiments, subtly changing from warm to cold. From green and blue to orange and blue, the clever color combinations of this section of jewelry pay tribute to the Maison’s love of vibrant hues. This alluring set features two necklaces, alongside two rings, a bracelet, a brooch, and earrings. Lastly, blending the innate sophistication and elegance of Chaumet’s creations with their bold character, ‘Breaking Wave’ accomplishes the task of capturing the beauty of crashing waves in full motion to bring life to creations made entirely of white gold and diamonds.

With each stone in this collection comes a different story that highlights the subtle nuances of the sea, and together, the new launch conveys a strong emotion arising from an encounter with the maison’s gemologists. Through the Ondes et Merveilles de Chaumet collection, the artisans of the 12 Vendôme workshop are yet again paying tribute to the jewelry craftsmanship of which they are both the keepers and the transmitters. Their finesse, which is illustrated in the art of capturing these nautical facets in all their manifestations, expands the close ties uniting the Maison to the sea.

This is the Lebanese Jeweler Behind Jennifer Lopez’s AED 7 Million Diamond Wedding Earrings

This is the Lebanese Jeweler Behind Jennifer Lopez’s AED 7 Million Diamond Wedding Earrings

Photo: John Russo via OntheJLo.com
After wearing a gown by Lebanese couturier Zuhair Murad for her first nuptials with Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez tapped another creative from the region for her second wedding. Paired with her three uniquely breathtaking dresses by Ralph Lauren was equally exceptional jewelry, with one pair of earrings created by Lebanese-American designer Samer Halimeh.
Halimeh is a diamond trader by profession, and his namesake New York-based jewelry brand, known for its jaw-dropping pieces, is loved by celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Priyanka Chopra, and now Lopez. For her big wedding ceremony in Georgia, the 53-year-old pop star styled her halter neck dress for the after-party with a pair of brilliant flower drop earrings by the brand. Featuring marquise and pear-cut 27ct diamonds, the bespoke earrings are reportedly worth US $2 million (that’s a little over AED 7 million), and certainly added to the glam factor of Lopez’s Swarovski crystal-embellished gown.

Halimeh was born in Beirut, “during the height of the Lebanese Civil War”, and his passion for diamonds led him to a career in trading, despite coming from a family of medical professionals. “JLo looked ever-stunning and breathtaking on her wedding to Ben Affleck. Congratulations to the beautiful couple,” wrote the designer on Instagram sharing a picture of Lopez wearing the earrings. Samer Halimeh was also the jeweler behind Lopez’s emerald-cut diamond engagement ring, which was given to her by her former partner Alex Rodriguez.
Other pieces of jewelry worn by Lopez for her wedding to Affleck include Mikimoto’s classic white South Sea cultured pearl and diamond drop earrings set in platinum, and a ring with the same diamonds and a central South Sea pearl, which she wore to walk down the aisle. After the ceremony, the singer paired her pearl-laden gown with Mikimoto pearl and diamond studs.

Bulgari’s First Creative Director Lucia Silvestri Reflects on Her Four-Decade-Long Career

Bulgari’s First Creative Director Lucia Silvestri Reflects on Her Four-Decade-Long Career

Lucia Silvestri
Lucia Silvestri was only 18 years old when she began working at the Italian high jewelry house Bulgari in the geological department. She started out buying gemstones and ultimately was named its first creative director. Over 40 years later, she reveals her latest collection at the Italian Embassy in Paris — Eden, The Garden of Wonders. Actresses Anne Hathaway, and Priyanka Chopra, Thai rapper Lisa, and former French first lady and supermodel Carla Bruni were on hand to showcase Silvestri’s work. Now, the creative director looks back on her greatest “love affair.”

Heart over mind
“I was studying biology, because I was planning to be a biologist. And suddenly, I fell in love with gems. When Bulgari asked me to join the company, it was really a small company — five stores — I immediately said yes. I didn’t think, I just followed my heart.”

Far flung places
“In the early eighties when I started traveling to buy gems my first trips were to Sri Lanka, India, and New York. I was never nervous — always very curious and excited. I felt sure because I started with the Bulgari family. I felt very safe in terms of the responsibility . To this day, I am still very excited.”

It’s a man’s world
“Of course, it was quite difficult. I could select gems and that was easy, but when I started to negotiate, that was very difficult because the men would say, ‘I want to negotiate with Mr Bulgari, not with you.’ I was very young, and a woman, but I wanted to do it. Now, I’m very proud; the world is changing but it’s still very male-dominated.”
The first necklace Silvestri designed for Bulgari in 1988
The first of many
“The first lesson from Mr Bulgari was, ‘Don’t buy a gem if you don’t know how you can use it.’ So, I started to develop my creativity from the beginning. The first piece I made, I was still a buyer but I was working very closely with Mr Bulgari, he gave me the responsibility to buy gems to make a necklace. This piece (pictured, above) was created with yellow and light blue sapphires that I selected in Sri Lanka. I made the layout of several strands and when I returned to Italy, we decided to create this necklace. We used the stones I selected with almost no design. The owner loaned it for our recent retrospective.”

The announcement
“It wasn’t official, it came by phone. My boss was in China and asked me if I was sitting down and then said, ‘From June, you will be the new creative director of Bulgari.’ I exclaimed, ‘What?!’ Initially, I thought it was the creative director role for high jewelry, but he said, ‘No, for all the jewelry.’ Of course, I cried. I called my mother and my best friends. I spent the whole month thinking that it was a dream, that it was not true.”
My signature
“I respect the past. I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to work with the three Bulgari brothers who were my mentors and my teachers, I just put something more feminine in my creativity in terms of colors. As for versatility and wearability, as a woman, I like the idea of wearing the same jewels in the morning and evening — transformability in jewelry.”
Blooming Beauty watch from the Eden Garden of Wonders collection
Eden, The Garden of Wonders
“The spirit of this new collection of 140 pieces is sharing beauty in terms of design, craftsmanship, and gems. You can see an explosion of gems and new combinations of colors. This is really ‘Eden, The Garden of Wonders,’ I thought that the gems are a gift from nature — as are flowers. Gems became flowers, flowers became gems. I’m very lucky because I live across from one of my best friends. I think she has the best secret garden in Rome — small but very rich. I take inspiration from that garden. And she takes inspiration from my jewels and colors — albeit my favorite flower is the white peony. I will probably finish my career in the same company. It’s not just a professional story, it’s a love story.”
Magic moments
“I recently was with a client when she bought a necklace, and I felt very proud. I hugged her. It featured an inverted flower. At Bulgari, the idea of nature is not literal, it’s fantasy. I’m a little bit sad when we sell pieces immediately, but when I see a woman who I appreciate, who is beautiful, and who wears it in the best way, I’m so happy.”

Your Ultimate Guide to Birthstones: What They Mean, How They Heal, and More

Your Ultimate Guide to Birthstones: What They Mean, How They Heal, and More

How do birthstones actually work?
Birthstones are more than just gems that align with each month. Each of them has a healing property that connects with the signs of the zodiac. They also serve as a way to cleanse, purify and ignite the aura. The natural energy found in birthstones can ease anxieties, boost confidence, and help solidify relationships.
They can also be used to charge water (to drink and bathe in), as well as to detox the skin. Basically, they can do anything and everything related to self-care, self-love, and healing — which is why learning about their energetic properties is so important.
Discover your birthstone by month and zodiac sign
January — garnet
Those born in January fall under the zodiac signs Capricorn and Aquarius, and are known for their loyalty, drive, invention, confidence, and professional and personal success. An energizing and regenerating stone, garnet is the ideal stone to harness and refine these qualities.
February — amethyst
Amethyst heightens intuition and cleanses the aura, which is why it’s the perfect match for Aquarius and Pisces. Both signs are known to be enlightened, psychic, and spiritual — all properties and sentiment that amethyst encourages.
March — aquamarine
The sun glides from sensitive Pisces to tempestuous Aries in March, which means that those born under either sign need energy to help calm their tempers and passions. Luckily, aquamarine, which is the birthstone for March, calms emotions, purifies energy, and soothes the mind.
April — diamond
Diamonds can help to centre and align the chakras. They elevate artistry and the imagination, as long as one is open to new possibilities. Aries and Taurus are the zodiac signs for April. With diamonds in their life, they can channel their creativity and achieve greatness.
May — emerald
May is a month that brings open-mindedness (because the sun moves from earthy Taurus to airy Gemini). Emeralds can ignite thoughtfulness by increasing revolutionary and rebellious ideas. Emeralds also add expressive fluidity to the vibe of the month.
June — pearl
Pearls bring a much-needed sense of calm and a deeper understanding of one’s thoughts and emotions to those Geminis and Cancerians born in June.
July — ruby
July is full of desire, fervor and zest! The sun moves from emotional Cancer to spirited Leo, making this month full of zeal and sentimentality. Rubies add passion, courage, and positivity to the energy of July.
August — peridot
In August, the sun progresses from fiery Leo to earthy Virgo, which means that emotions need to be tempered and pacified. Peridot aids in relaxing and calming emotions, which assists the energy of the month in achieving peace of mind.
September — sapphire
Sapphires are known as the ‘love’ birthstone. They can help bring people together, which is what the cosmic energy of September promises as the sun passes from Virgo to Libra (zodiac signs that want to harmonize and partner with others).
October — opal
Libra and Scorpio are two October signs that focus on loyalty. Opals ensure devotion, as well as intensity in sensual situations. They also serve as a source of deflection from negative vibes that hinder emotional development.
November — topaz
The month of November can be extra spooky (even though it comes after Halloween), which is why topaz is the ideal gemstone to connect with one’s spiritual and metaphysical sentiments (by enticing healing to oneself) during Scorpio and Sagittarius season.
December — turquoise
As the sun moves through the zodiac signs of impulsive Sagittarius and pragmatic Capricorn in December, the month longs for more grounding energy, which the stone turquoise brings. This birthstone also brings healing and self-realizations to light.

10 Timeless Rings You Need To See if You Love Jennifer Lopez’s Wedding Band From Ben Affleck

10 Timeless Rings You Need To See if You Love Jennifer Lopez’s Wedding Band From Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are officially married, 20 years after they first fell in love and parted ways. With their intimate ceremony in Las Vegas’ Little White Wedding Chapel being the most talked-about one this wedding season, all eyes are on the details of the couple’s nuptials, including their newly exchanged rings. “We read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our lives,” the star shared in her announcement of the happy news earlier this week.

The world first caught sight of Lopez’s wedding band when the 52-year-old shared a photo of her taken the morning after the wedding. It appears to be a dome-shaped platinum band studded with a small diamond—a classic and timeless design owing to the couple’s enduring partnership. Earlier in April 2022 when Affleck proposed to Lopez for the second time (the first time was back in November 2002), he did so with a rare diamond in the singer’s favorite color, green, and it quickly became the most coveted piece of jewelry for brides-to-be. Given Lopez’s influence, her new wedding band is bound to be just as enviable.
Above, check out 10 timeless designs similar to Lopez’s ring, for you to get married or drop hints with.

Messika’s new jewelry collection, ‘Beyond the light’ is a love letter to ancient Egypt, spotlighting authentic details and majestic diamonds to pay tribute to one of history’s most celebrated eras. While the whole collection, which was unveiled in Paris during Couture Fashion Week, is mesmerizing, it may be safe to say that the most alluring set from the line is the Akh-Ba-Ka, a milestone creation for Messika.

Bringing together a constellation of 15 radiant diamonds—all of which originate from one 110 carat diamond—the Akh-Ba-Ka set doesn’t just stand out for its immeasurable beauty, it also makes its mark as a modern must-have via its transformable pieces and technical innovations. Valerie Messika, founder of the Messika brand, it comes as no surprise, is especially proud of the Akh-Ba-Ka set, which also sublimates the mythical theme of the Egyptian winged scarab, a motif that’s hard to miss.
Crafted over 1,000 hours by experts, the set relies solely on diamonds and a base of white gold, and may be the star of the collection, but that’s not to say that the rest of Messika’s ‘Beyond the light’ collection is plain in comparison. Among the jewelry house’s newest creations is the Golden Shield, another noteworthy investment piece for those who love making a statement with their baubles. This daring set brings back the allure of yellow gold with its brilliant gold choker and geometric carved earrings.
