Currently on a world tour, Faouzia stopped by Dubai and Cairo this month to perform her first-ever concerts in the cities. In Egypt, the Moroccan-Canadian star made a strong case for modest popstar style, dressed in a look in this summer’s hottest color, pink.

Her outfit, a vibrant co-ord, was picked from Valentino, the brand that helped popularize the color this season via its Fall/Winter 2022-23 collection. The singer’s collared top came with full sleeves and a flattering corset-style silhouette, while flared bottoms added femininity to her look. The 22-year-old accessorized the pieces with pink platform heels from Valentino and fuchsia gloves for her signature edgy aesthetic. The ‘Minefields’ singer also wore her dark mane in a high ponytail with gelled locks of hair framing her face. For her glam, Faouzia balanced out the brightly colored ensemble with a neutral makeup look, featuring defined lashes and a nude lip.

Alongside her series of hits which include ‘Tears of Gold’ and ‘Born Without a Heart’, Faouzia has come to be known for her dynamic sartorial sense that combines the best of Gen-Z dressing with high fashion. From exaggerated shapes and fabrics like vinyl and velour to electric colors, her wardrobe features all that is bold, from brands like Dolce & Gabbana and Burberry. There isn’t a better time and place to realize your style potential to the fullest than on the streets during a fashion week. Faouzia knows this, and recently, the Moroccan singer has been spotted taking her outfits to the next level while dashing between shows and fittings in New York. While the 21-year-old has always been within range of sporting covetable style, the cool girl factor of her ensembles has never been dialed up as high as it has now.

Styled by V Smith, Faouzia’s latest look saw her putting a winter-appropriate spin on hues one would normally associate with spring and summer. Grey, snowy NYC served as the perfect backdrop for her colorful outfit which consisted of a purple catsuit with a high neck and gloves by D. Haleter, topped with a long blue Annakiki coat, and paired with a statement hot pink faux fur stole by Adrienne Landau x Saulo Villela.

Faouzia’s recent looks have showcased her range in wearing everything from feminine, romantic dresses to slightly more masculine, oversized sets. For the Christian Cowan show, the ‘Minefields’ singer went bold with an all-leather outfit which included a black corseted dress with zip detailing, matching thigh-high stiletto boots, and a tailored animal print blazer with structured sleeves. Ahead of Valentine’s Day, Faouzia was also spotted in a girly Versace dress topped with a sleeveless lilac sweater and printed tights and kept warm in a cropped faux fur jacket in white to match her heels.

If these looks have brought out a style-forward side to the singer, there may be many more noteworthy looks to come from Faouzia.

As the Chanel Cruise show in Dubai saw guests fly in from all around the world, one of them had special preparation to do. Moroccan singer Faouzia arrived at the venue, tucked away in Dubai Creek Harbour, not only as a front row guest, but also as a surprise performer at the show’s after party. Ahead of her soulful performance of the hit song ‘Minefields’ with musical icon John Legend, the 21-year-old singer invited Vogue Arabia to give us a glimpse of her prep time at Dubai’s Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah Hotel.
Her chosen look? A playful ensemble comprising of a black turtleneck bodysuit with pink Chanel monograms all over, and comfy—aka, lounge-worthy—oversized pants. To accessorize and add a bit of bling to her outfit, Faouzia went with Chanel’s signature chain belt. Watch as she practices singing in her hotel room mere minutes before the show, and gets ready for her night out above.
