When it comes to red carpet dressing, Dorra Zarrouk knows how to make a statement. And last night, at the 2022 edition of the annual Ball of Arabia, the Tunisian star did just that. This time around, the ball looked back to the ’80s in all its splendor for its dress code, and Zarrouk stayed on point, walking in dressed in a gorgeous violet number by Rami Kadi. Take a closer look at it below.

The first of two ensembles through the evening, Zarrouk’s Rami Kadi outfit came with a one-shoulder silhouette, and was doused in rows and rows of sparkling beads. The body-hugging dress was beautifully paired with delicate Bulgari jewelry: an evening-appropriate necklace and matching earrings. To complete her look, Zarrouk opted for equally statement-making footwear—a pair of Rene Caovilla heels that spiralled up her ankles in a soothing shade of pink.

No party look is complete without the right makeup ofcourse, and Zarrouk went the bold route this year with winged smoky eyes that ensured, a bold swipe of blush, and nude-pink lips. To keep the attention on her outfit and jewelry, the actor had her glossy brown locks swept up into a twisted updo—a look that also worked well with her second ensemble for the evening, a mint green gown. Here’s a glimpse from the Ball of Arabia stage.

Held at Dubai’s Jumeirah Mina A’Salam, this year’s Ball of Arabia was a celebration of three powerful women from the region, whose work across beauty, films and music have put the Arab world on the global map. The evening honored Egyptian actor Nabila Ebeed, Tunisian songstress Latifa, and Lebanese pageant queen Georgina Rizk, and also featured a special musical performance by world-renowned singer Leona Lewis.

Zarrouk’s look for the evening fell in line with her penchant for acing red carpet style with timeless glamour, and also made a case for contemporary jewel tones in the midst of white ensembles seen at the festival. Strapless, and figure-hugging, the taffeta gown flowed into floor-grazing hem while catching the light in all the best ways. Stylist Youmna Moustafa paired the monochrome piece with a sparkling silver clutch, and emerald jewelry completed her look. The actor went for a fuss-free blowout to style her hair, which complemented her movie star glam of voluminous lashes and a nude pout. For a touch of edginess, Zarrouk sported an ink-black manicure.

Dorra Zarrouk‘s wardrobe is all about unexpected color combinations this summer. Currently riding a wave of outfits that pair contrasting colors together, the Tunisian actor recently stepped out in an ensemble that channelled the fresh, pastel hues of a watermelon.
The breezy look picked from Maison Makarem’s SS 2022 collection featured a cropped and sleeveless taffeta top in pink, paired with a long green skirt with a thigh-high slit. The highlight of her outfit? An oversized bow that held the top together at the back and lent her look a playful and feminine vibe. Styled by Youmna Moustafa, Zarrouk kept the rest of her ensemble color-free, by opting for a white Dolce & Gabbana purse, and matching sandals.

The pieces were ideal for an evening garden party, which Zarrouk attended with close friends, and later took to Instagram to share photos of her outfit from the night. A quick scroll through the star’s profile will also show you that Zarrouk loves a bright color combination. Whether it is wearing statement purple heels with a yellow dress, or accessorizing a white number with a green handbag and pink stilettos. It may be safe to say that monochrome dressing is on its way out, with Dorra Zarrouk too championing contrasting colors after Jennifer Lopez this week. Answering the season’s call to mix up playful pieces, the Tunisian actor recently posed for new Instagram pictures combining two bold colors.
Zarrouk opted for a mini summer dress in a neon yellow shade, which came with a statement detail. While one side of the dress was sleeveless, the other featured a long flared sleeve. Her choice of footwear for the electric piece? Purple mules with crystal bows on the pointed toes. To complement her sun-ready look, the actor wore her brown hair in waves, with two braids framing her face.

Pairing unexpected colors together is fast becoming the celebrity-loved way to wear their favorite hero accessories without going the obvious matchy-matchy route. Prior to Lopez pairing her green purse with a breezy yellow maxi in Capri, Egyptian actor Salma Abu Deif styled her black cut-out dress with an orange arm candy. As for Zarrouk’s latest look, the star kept the rest of her outfit void of any distracting details—a helpful style tip to keep in mind when wearing bold colors.

Ramadan brings with it a slew of modest dressing inspiration, and this week did not disappoint. While Tunisian favorite Dorra Zarrouk took over our feeds in a traditional jebba in Saudi Arabia, Rym Saidi has us falling in love with jewel tones in a sapphire blue kaftan for Bulgari’s iftar night. And if you needed any more sartorial guidance for the Holy Month, Vogue Arabia’s kaftan round-up has all the inspiration you may need.

Oversees, one of Instagram’s favorite moments was the wedding of Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham, which took place at the bride’s oceanfront Palm Beach estate. Of course, the new Mrs Beckham’s Valentino couture gown (which came with a show-stopping train) was a noteworthy pick, but mother-of-the-groom Victoria Beckham had her own show-stopping moment when she walked down the aisle with husband David Beckham in a custom-made liquid silver gown. As per British Vogue, “The fabric was inspired by the reflection of the moonlight on the ocean at night.” Beckham wore the all-eyes-on-me piece with a diamond necklace, which used the very stone David had gifted her at Brooklyn’s christening.

As the week progressed, fashion enthusiasts got another interesting piece of news to ponder—the reveal of the Met Gala 2022 theme. This year, for “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” the dress code will be gilded glamour, white-tie. Another fashion celebration that was worth noting was the Fashion Institute of Technology’s annual awards gala, which honored the likes of Serena Williams, and raised over $1.5 million. Over in Greece, designer Rami Kadi had a special moment of his own, showcasing a series of eclectic looks from his Lucid Algorithms collection at Athens Fashion Week.

Amid a host of modern style inspiration for Ramadan from Queen Rania, Karen Wazen, and more, comes Dorra Zarrouk‘s all-out traditional take on the season’s clothing.

While in Jeddah, the star embraced her Tunisian heritage by wearing a jebba, a classic piece from her home country. Handcrafted by Tunisian designer Sofien Ben Gamra, the jebba was crafted from a breezy black fabric and embroidered with gold threads for a touch of opulence. It also came with a more loose, kaftan-like layer, that sat on top of the jebba which featured a high neck rendered entirely in gold embroidery. To complete the look, Zarrouk went for black sandals, and minimal accessories with a couple of gold and black bracelets on one hand, and wore her natural hair down with a middle part.

Zarrouk is currently in Saudi Arabia to film her upcoming Ramadan show, for which makeup artist Mona Gamal created a soft glam for the star, including a subtle smoky eye, peach blush, and a matte nude pout. Clips from her time in the country shared on social media see Zarrouk riding a horse by the sea at sunset, wearing the same jebba. This marks the second noteworthy look from Zarrouk during the month of Ramadan, following the actor’s Hamsa-embroidered kaftan worn in Egypt.

With Ramadan in full swing, get ready for plenty of style cues from some of the biggest names in the region for your next iftar and suhoor gatherings. After Queen Rania‘s contemporary-meets-traditional approach to modest dressing this week, Dorra Zarrouk took a more classic route by wearing a kaftan to an event in Cairo.

The actor’s floaty number for the occasion was from Egyptian brand Paiete, and came with a statement detail. At the back of the kaftan was a large patch of the Hand of Fatima, also known as Hamsa, in multicolored sequins, which was also embroidered in a smaller size on the left shoulder. The rest of the cream-colored piece featured minimal accents such as gold lining and matching tassels at the sleeves. To complete her look, the Tunisian star wore a white top and jeans under the kaftan, and paired it with a white and gold Dolce & Gabbana purse, and a dainty diamond choker.

Dorra Zarrouk Celebrates Valentine’s Day in a Backless Blue Gown With a Dramatic Long Train

Dorra Zarrouk Celebrates Valentine’s Day in a Backless Blue Gown With a Dramatic Long Train

Dorra Zarrouk brought in Valentine’s Day with her husband Hany Saad this year with a dramatic style moment. Currently away from home, the Tunisian actor chose to mark the special occasion with a throwback video of herself, in which she wore a dramatic gown.

Instead of posting a pictures of herself in the usual shades of pink and red usually associated with the holiday, Zarrouk shared a video of herself in a pleasing turquoise blue dress, which was also earlier seen on her Instagram page in September 2021. The backless monochrome number, crafted in flowy silk, featured a fitted halter neck bodice before going into the floor-grazing skirt. The star element of the gown? A train so long that it blew gracefully with the wind as the couple shared a precious moment seen in a video posted by Zarrouk.

The actor kept the rest of her look surprisingly minimalistic to let the dress do its magic. Going without any jewelry, she straightened her hair to wear it down, and went for a natural makeup look complete with defined eyes and a nude lip. In stark contrast to Zarrouk’s look, Saad stood by her side in the video dressed in head-to-toe black.
For his part, Saad took to Instagram to share a candid moment of the two play-fighting each other before posing for photos. He captioned it: “The day I met you, my life changed. The way you make me feel is hard to explain. You make me smile in a special kind of way, you make me fall deeper in love everyday.”
