More than ever, the 2022 Vogue Ball of Arabia was an occasion where glitz and glamour were of the order as the dress code called for all things 80s and the Golden Age of Arab entertainment. With the star-studded guest list including Dorra Zarrouk, Razane Jammal, Salma Abu Deif, and more serving up high octane style, Cyrine Abdelnour too embraced the memo to the full extent.
The Lebanese beauty channeled the exciting era in an equally fun look from Dolce & Gabbana, picked from the Italian fashion house’s Rosso collection. Abdelnour stood out in the siren red number which was covered entirely in sequins and caught the light in all the best ways. The singer and actor paired the statement piece with a metallic gold clutch, matching stilettos, and ruby red earrings. Her glam for the evening too mirrored the theme with a sparkling grey smokey eye complete with a nude pout.
At Jumeirah Mina A’Salam, the third edition of the Ball of Arabia brought together the region’s finest to celebrate the careers of three legendary divas who continue to inspire the new generation of talent: Egyptian actor Nabila Ebeed, Tunisian singer Latifa, and Lebanese model and Miss Universe Georgina Rizk. After the icons were honored for their respective achievements, guests were treated to a thrilling performance by three-time Grammy nominee and Brit award nominee, Leona Lewis who sang her much-loved hits and more.

Nicolas Jebran‘s show-stopping designs have long been a red carpet favorite of stars, including Yasmine Sabri and Cyrine Abdelnour, who championed the Lebanese couturier just last night. Making an appearance at the closing gala of the 2022 Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, both actors chose glamorous numbers made by the Beirut-born designer.
Sabri embraced the festive season in a sheer, form-flattering burgundy gown, which was covered entirely in Jebran’s signature sequined embroidery, and elevated with long pieces of tulle extending from the sleeves down to the hem. Stylist Carole Bou Khaled paired the glittering dress with a black clutch and stilettos, while the diamond earrings and ring worn by the Cartier ambassador naturally came from the French jeweler. The evening saw the former Vogue Arabia cover star switch up her usual wavy hair for a sleek and long ponytail to complement her soft glam, courtesy of makeup artist Shariff Tanyous.

As for Abdelnour, the Lebanese actor channeled an edgier persona with an all-black ensemble styled by Cedric Haddad. The velvet gown featured a corset-like bodice with metallic detailing, which flowed into a voluminous bottom. The highlight? Black velvet gloves that pulled the entire vampy ensemble together. Abdelnour complemented it all by wearing her hair in a short style, and sporting a black graphic eyeliner with a warm nude pout.

Jebran was also the designer of choice for many other stars at the film festival, with Indian actor Priyanka Chopra opting for a sunshine yellow satin gown, and Tunisian model Rym Saidi wearing a black netted piece from the fashion house’s FW23 couture collection.
