All the Best Red Carpet Outfits From the 2022 Venice Film Festival

The annual Venice Film Festival is one of the most glamorous in the world, right alongside the paparazzi-filled red carpets at Cannes. A-list celebrities show up not only to promote their new films but also to deliver strong style moments and work with top stylists to showcase the best creations from the new ready-to-wear and couture runways. It’s just as much a spectacle for fashion lovers as it is for film buffs. As such, Vogue is rounding up all the best looks from the film festival in one place.
Kicking off on August 30th, the Venice Film Festival has tons of buzzy movies making their premiere over the next two weeks—meaning all of Hollywood’s top talent will be there. On our radar? Blonde’s Ana de Armas, Bones & All’s Timothée Chalamet, Tár’s Cate Blanchett, and White Noise’s Jodie Turner-Smith, among many others. Turner-Smith is off to an especially strong start: Last night at the festival’s cocktail kick-off event, she wore a Raisa Vanessa’s blue mini dress with a fringed hemline.
At the same inaugural soirée, Julianne Moore—who is serving as the festival’s jury president this year—shone in an Alaïa confetti-print gown with a leather heart-shaped bustier, while Tessa Thompson sported a black tulle Rodarte blazer dress.
There will be plenty more fashion moments on display over the next two weeks. So check back for all the best looks direct from the Venice Film Festival red carpet, uploaded in real-time.

We all know that the Cannes Film Festival red carpet is not the only place where great fashion moments are spotted during the weeks the annual event takes place. As the buzzing event goes on, its adjacent galas and dinners also see remarkable looks, and one of them was recently served up by Rym Saidi.

The Tunisian model attended the Chopard Trophée Dinner in Cannes this weekend, ditching ball gowns and flared-out skirts for a form-fitting silhouette in a David Koma dress. In an evening-appropriate shade of slate navy blue, the dress, picked from David Koma’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection, featured the designer’s signature elements: an asymmetrical neckline bedazzled with diamantes. A black box clutch completed her outfit, while for jewelry, stylist Cedric Haddad looked to a matching, glittering wrist cuff and earrings. They were shown off by Saidi who wore her freshly cut hair gelled back and tucked behind her ears for a sleek look. Going for a ‘less is more’ approach, the former Vogue Arabia cover star’s glam for the evening included glowy bronzed skin, defined eyes, and a coral pink pout.

London-based designer David Koma’s bold and refined pieces have found a fan in many A-list stars, including Beyoncé, who wore a custom look to this year’s Oscars.

12 Of Azzedine Alaïa’s Best Red Carpet Fashion Moments

When Tunisian designer Azzedine Alaïa passed away in Paris on November 18, 2017 it was a dark day in the fashion industry. The King of Cling, as he was affectionately called, was one of the most adored designer’s in the game. While gone, he will never be forgotten. Here, Vogue Arabia salutes the legend and inimitable design maestro Alaïa, who has powered scores of iconic red carpet moments and redefined modern haute couture. Vogue Arabia traces the style evolution of Alaïa’s couture genius, as seen on the stars of the international red carpets and beyond, from the signature flared, knit minidress to the enveloping gowns that make even the slightest of movements appear in slow motion.
