From Fatima Al Banawi to Zendaya, celebrities all around the world seem to be crushing on pantsuits lately. But while most have been gravitating towards subtle hues (think pastel blues and cool grays), some stars seem to be in an experimental mood of late, stepping out in playful versions of the power staple in acid hues.

Just days after Blake Lively was seen walking through the streets of New York in a tangerine set, Tunisian actor Dorra Zarrouk took to her Instagram page to share snapshots of herself in a hot pink edition of the must-have ensemble. While enjoying a getaway in Barcelona, Spain, the star posed for the ‘gram in a bold pink blazer with black buttons, which she pared with matching form-fitting trousers. Instead of pairing the separates with a classic white shirt or slinky camisole, however, the star went the matchy-matchy route, layering her pantsuit over a pink turtleneck. The only element of contrast? Zarrouk’s black and white Prada sling bag, which perfectly complemented her black and white sneakers. The kicks also featured soft pink detailing, tying her holiday look together seamlessly.

In Dorra Zarrouk’s beauty book, nothing beats the charm of a soft blow-dry. So it comes as no surprise that for her day out in Barcelona, the actor paired her all-pink outfit with easy waves in chocolate brown. Leaving her face makeup-free save for a swipe of creamy lipstick, the actor made a strong case for less-is-more beauty looks. She also seems to have skipped on jewelry altogether, making for the ideal on-the-go look.
Whether you’re planning a getaway to a chilly city, or have always wanted to invest in a sharp work-ready set, take cues from Dorra Zarrouk’s latest look and add a spunky pantsuit to your closet. Want to tone the look down? All you need to do is style each separate with neutral pieces to create brand new, wearable looks.

Meghan Markle Wore a Slouchy All-White Power Suit by Valentino at the Invictus Games

Always the minimalist, Meghan Markle approaches each ensemble from a “less is more” perspective, even when the designer is celebrated for bombast. Though Valentino’s Pierpaolo Piccioli can create jaw-dropping fashion spectacles—the custom gown with a built-in cape he crafted for Beyoncé’s appearance at the Oscars this March is a testament to that—the Duchess prefers his understated creations. After wearing his modish white mini-dress onstage at the Global Citizen Live concert in 2021 and filling her maternity wardrobe with bespoke pieces from the brand, Markle has kept Piccioli’s work in heavy rotation, and on April 15, she debuted her most elegant Valentino outfit to date.

Visiting the Hague to celebrate the competitors of 2022’s Invictus Games, Markle wore a double-breasted white suit that could have been pulled straight out of Bianca Jagger’s closet. While her tailored look felt timeless, she added new verve by playing with proportion. In an oversized blazer and roomy wide-leg pants, the Duchess’s outfit prioritized comfort without losing any of its visual appeal. Taking her stark color scheme from head to toe, she added on a pair of coordinated heels from Aquazurra, a delicate diamond pendant necklace, and Valentino’s newly minted it-bag, the One Stud.
Piccioli’s designs gave the royal a stylish return to the spotlight. Under the radar since accepting her NAACP Award in a dazzling Christopher John Rogers gown back in February, Markle’s appearance at the Invictus Games ceremony was her first public event in more than a month. Given that the games are the Duke of Sussex’s passion project, we can expect to see even more of her—and her Valentino wardrobe—when the games begin.

Kate Middleton just touched down in Copenhagen, Denmark for her first solo tour since 2017. The Duchess of Cambridge began her two day visit with a trip to the University of Copenhagen to learn of the Copenhagen Infant Mental Health Project, which promotes positive relationships between children and their parents. For the engagement, the royal opted for a polished look that was both professional yet stylish (What else would you expect from Middleton?). Her red and white ensemble also gave a nod to the colors of the Denmark flag—a classy touch—and her blazer was a surprisingly affordable pick as well.

Middleton’s double-breasted blazer is by Zara, one of her most-worn fast fashion labels. Though her textured jacket—which she also wore to an England versus Germany game at Wembley last year—is currently sold out, there is a similar style on Zara’s website that currently retails for AED 330. She played into its dressiness by pairing it with a ruffled white blouse, black flared trousers, a sleek Aspinal of London handbag, and black stiletto pumps. The jacket, though, was a true Middleton signature: She’s no stranger to making the case for affordable style, having also worn budget-friendly pieces like Vejas sneakers in the past. She often re-wears pieces in her wardrobe too. And when it looks this regal, why shouldn’t she?
