It all started one fateful night. Creative director Paul Andrew sat safely at home rewatching Hitchcock films on repeat. It took but a split second for Andrew to notice a vital difference in the Hitchcockian images flickering in front of him, for suddenly, the once distant and unthinkable settings seemed oddly familiar. In a moment of epiphany, the world on-screen paralleled the reality of his own, with utmost surrealism and peculiar beauty.

A whirlwind later, Andrew has designed an entire Salvatore Ferragamo collection that blurs the lines between the reality of our world and the exotic world of Hitchcock’s imagination. From unique shapes to striking symmetrical detail, this new collection reveals the visual style of the famous director from every angle. Like the films, the entire collection feels beautifully architectural, where every detail is precisely articulated with meaningful allure. The calculated nature of the collection elicits tension and thrill, guiding human eyes through a unique experience of cinematic voyeurism. Honoring the esteemed director, the new collection bursts with artisanal techniques, including hand-applied embroidered feathers and a handspun “floating” string skirt. Taking Hitchcock to the age of technology and sustainability, it also features impressive technical innovations, such as a flexible eye defying “tridimensional” seersucker, a dress in recycled jersey, and new sustainable-grade wool crafted into outerwear.
