Bvlgari is breathing new life into its B.zero1 ring with six pieces inspired by the iconic design. The Italian jeweler’s new B.zero1 Rock collection revisits the ring’s very first version from 1999 when the Colosseum inspired its cylindrical shape. At the time, the unique design combining avant garde and Roman inspiration marked a new era for the house, which is not unlike what Bvlgari aims to do with the B.zero1 Rock collection in 2021.
Aside from the rings, the collection’s standout piece is a dazzling 18ct white gold necklace with 7.20ct jewels, making it the most precious B.zero1 Rock design to date. The necklace features an original chain motif with every link mirroring the ring’s distinctive silhouette. More than just visually appealing design, the necklace also showcases fine craftsmanship through its proportions. Inspired by the visionary architect Le Corbusier, who was known for his studies of measurements based on human body metrics, each element of the necklace has been treated as a measuring unit of the B.zero1.
Such craftsmanship is further explored in the gold chain necklace with its industrial design. The necklace is made of individual modules, each composed of three hand-set and assembled elements. Bvlgari’s balance between boldness and wearability is evident through the necklace’s three styling options. It can either be worn with or without the pendant and with an additional thin 18ct white gold chain, sold with the jewel.
The collection also includes an 18ct rose gold version of the same necklace, but with a variation in the pendant. Those who like their jewelry with contrasting tones can opt for the rose gold pendant and bangle with striking black ceramic highlights on the rims, or the 18ct yellow gold iteration studded with diamonds on the edges.
